I've given this location a few tries but the service is always lackluster. I won't be going back after my recent visit. It feels like a staff hangout spot. No uniforms- staff in sweats and crocs, rap music playing, and staff members were eating at the bar and would then run back up to the host stand when a customer came in. The waitress was sick and sneezed when she greeted the table and I was unable to finish my food because I was so grossed out after seeing that she was blew her nose at the bar area and rubbed her nose and just continued on without washing her hands. My server gave me salted tea instead of sweet tea, with an abundant amount of salt in it which killed my taste buds, after bringing it to someone's attention, it took up to getting our food for me to get a new drink. Then our order was wrong, keep in mind this was at lunch time and not busy at all The food was mediocre at best, the seasoning was super messy and wet from the steam bags and super salty as well. It was the butter garlic and omg was it so good. That sauce is like crack but the reason I am giving it only 4 stars is that they do not weigh the crab. They say 1/2 pound but it is only 1 cluster and when everyone else ordered the same thing and we all only got 1 cluster . Sometimes a 1/2 pound is a cluster and a 1/2 or even 2 clusters if they are small. I took a picture. I know my 1 cluster was not 1/2 pound so I was a little upset about that. Also you only get 1/2 an ear of corn and 2 small red potatoes which is skimpy too. Not happy with the mount I got for that price but like I said the sauce was so yummy! As we were leaving, my daughter slipped on the stairs and fell, hurting her neck and back. I helped her up, and she asked the employee for an incident report. Her response was, "You can't sue us, we have two signs posted saying to be careful on the steps. Other people have tried, and it won't work." Shocked, she again asked for an incident report. The employee left and got our waitress. Very rudely, she said, "unless you are visibly hurt, there is nothing you can do." My daughter again asked for an incident report. They're good honestly but the service lacks. It took over 15 minutes for a server to get to us each time we've went. The very last time we went (Monday night) it took us asking the owner or manager for the server to come to our table. The owner goes to tell the server and she comes to us and while we are waiting for our food to come out, I see our server Celine doing another employees hair in the back. She was doing her hair with no kind of gloves and was spraying stuff all over too so that turned us off. Our 1st time here and we were pleasantly surprised! We ordered the 1-lb Snow Crab/1-lb Headless Shrimp & 1/2-lb sausage boil with the garlic butter sauce. It was delicious & we had plenty to take home which I'll throw together w/some pasta for tomorrow's dinner. We also had an order of Hushpuppies (Delicious) & split a side of coleslaw (also great)! The reason I'm knocking a star is we had wait after our food came and flag down our server to ask for Crackers to break the crab shells. These should be a given when you order crab!! Service was a little slow, but there were plenty of people working tonight (Monday @ 5:00) & only a few seated tables so the excuse of not having staff during COVID didn't apply. Drinks from the bar were not the best - a lot of mixer went into them so I wouldn't go expecting drinks that are classy. But then this is not what you would call a "Classy" restaurant, just good food w/the "classy" prices. After everything, mentioned above, along w/3 drinks, out the door w/tip we were at $116. We have been up since 2am puking that crap out and this morning I couldn't keep my breakfast down. Something wasn't good there that we ate. The food is really expensive to be getting sick from. Everything is awful, except the food. We were part of a group of six. The service was slow and the food is overpriced. The waiter was nice, but he got nearly every order wrong. The food was generally good. My favorite food in the whole world is crab and I definitely know how to crack it so that the meat comes out while but when overcooked, it's rather difficult to get at. So here I sit salivating at the sight of the crab but all my waitress gave me was a huge fork to use. No crab crackers or small fork. I hated to bother her. She was busy tending the bar. She finally brings me the crackers but this huge fork was not getting the crab and all I was getting was aggravated. I finally got another waitress to bring the small fork. Other than wasting crab due to the overcooking, it was tasty. The corn was YUM. The salad was appealing but salad dressings really need an upgrade. Took my salad to go so I can make my own dressing!! The worst service and best food I NEVER had! I was looking forward to eating at this place and my partner decided to treat me because it's the weekend. After waiting for about an hour we had to walk out because the hostess couldn't seem to get the seating right! I walked in and clearly said 3 people but after waiting almost an hour I went to check after waiting almost an hour and the hostesses (4 at the front) put me down for 5. When I first walked in they had two yellow notepads with parties waiting to be seated. I remember thinking this is interesting hopefully it won't be a problem but this a business so they have it under control. Sure enough it was a problem! The were not organized so I guess when they combined all of the names of people waiting to one notepad (which I saw when I walked back up) they messed up the number of people in my party. Food made it to the table in 15 minutes. There was a birthday celebration while we there, they will sing you happy birthday if you so wish. Our order- (2) Mango kush draft, (1) Life savers and a small Boil, with a 1/2 pound of sausage added. Not much to say about the beer, the love savers was a mixed drink that was actually pretty good. The small boil, comes in at $42.99 and could with an appetizer, feed a family of four. You get 1 pound of snow crab, and a half of a pound of craw fish, shrimp, clams and muscles. Mixed in is red potatoes and corn on the cob. We chose the Cajun seasoning, mild, just the right amount of spice. To sum it all up, it's worth the try. They have had this location open one month and they seem to be coming quickly together. If you've traveled that section on 434, like myself, looked at it and wondered what it was. My family and i usually love this place and we even met a server by the name of Brian our first time whom had great customer service. Service was extremely bad, they confused me with another customer and treated me and my spouse very bad saying every time I come I never tips. I recently came last weekend and I tip them 20-30$ n it's only 2 of us. She told me they didn't want to serve me because I don't tip I showed her my bank transaction from last weekend where I did tip. She totally had me confused with someone else.
