GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE, GREAT DEAL. I've dined here twice--the first time was a few months ago for lunch and then just last Saturday for breakfast. Even for lunch I had breakfast--pancakes with sausage, eggs and potatoes...and coffee. Hit the spot! It was a good portion; I couldn't even finish the pancakes. A while back, we noticed their sign indicating they were open on Saturdays, so N and I stopped in last weekend. N had the veggie omelette and I had the spinach and feta omelette (comes with potatoes and toast). The omelettes were perfect--not dry, not too salty, and not skimpy on the ingredients. The breakfast dishes come with tea or self-serve, unlimited coffee (or bottled water, as we found out, since N doesn't drink either). All this for $6.99...score! I'll have to try something on their lunch menu sometime.... I had the same waitress both times and she has been cheery, attentive and helpful, as was the owner. They spread out the red "now open everyday" sign behind the counter and questioned if it was too big. They just provide a "small town" vibe that I dig. Aaaand now they're also open on Sundays! If you require plush seating, get over yourself and stop in anyway. You'll leave satisfied and well-fed for a good price...and then you can be fancy elsewhere. Like me.... Ha! read more

My boyfriend and I eat in every Saturday. Not only do we go for the food, we go for the atmosphere. The staff is so friendly and always greets us with a smile, a "good morning" and a "the usual coffee?" Tom always likes to make sure customers meals were satisfactory and of course every time we go they are consistently AMAZING. He's a culinary genius with all of the new specials he comes up with. Tried Craig's Cafe today for the first time and got take out. Reviews say that it usually takes a lot longer than they say so I went to pick it up about 40 mins after I ordered and it was ready. Ordered the Craig's Benedict and 1 piece of French toast but was given a different Benedict instead. Went on the menu and turns out they gave me a Brandon's Benedict instead. It was still good except I probably would've preferred to receive what I ordered. The iced coffee was good too! read more

Perfect stop traveling along I-95! Delicious food (we got a BLT & a reuben), nice staff and clean bathrooms!

Downgrading... last time we were here, my Benedict was served cold. Ew. Also, I picked up about four dirty coffee mugs at the self-serve coffee area before finding one that was only sorta kinda clean... Ew. Also, I unwrapped my knife and fork from the napkin to discover that a portion of the fork still had stickiness from a previous diner's maple syrup. I have had better experiences here in the past, so not completely writing this place off, but please, some more attention to cleanliness is really warranted. read more

Great food, great service. I got the breakfast skillet special--eggs, cheddar cheese, bacon, ham, sausage, and home fries. It was delicious. The portion was huge so I couldn't come close to finishing. My dining companion basically ordered off menu, customizing a breakfast wrap that he enjoyed. Coffee and tea were self-service, which I'm on the fence about. It was nice to have it there for whenever I wanted a refill, so there was no waiting, I suppose. And there were several different coffee options, which was nice. The service was outstanding with all the employees making sure we got everything we needed, always with a smile. read more

Talk of the town is AWESOME! I love it. It's nice that they have the option to do take out and if you go really early in the morning then you are in and out of there with your food really quickly, however if you sleep in and decide to go on a weekend be prepared to wait a little for your food. The service is really great everyone is really friendly and helpful and the coffee is good too, lots of fun iced coffee flavors that are brewed not made with syrup and sugar. We usually get sandwiches and coffee to go, haven't had a bad meal yet. read more

Food is good (stick with the benedicts and not the sweet selections for brunch) but service is a problem. We've been here multiple times for brunch and there is only one waitress. There were two younger girls but they didn't acknowledge us at all when we came in and just walked by without even looking in our direction. We had to wait for the main waitress to seat us, then wait again for our order to be taken. Food came fairly quickly once order was placed. On two separate occasions, they ran out of the dish we wanted. Also, the hours are a little strange - they close Saturdays 1pm and Sundays 2pm. Overall it's a good neighborhood joint and I will continue to support since Quincy is lacking in brunch. read more

We love Craigs Cafe. We eat there every weekend. We love seeing Jordan, Matthew, Dan, Meg, and miss Brittany and the rest of the crew. Their service is top notch, speedy and always accommodating. Meg was your server this Saturday and always brings smiles and grace to each table she serves. She remembers customers favorites and saves time if you are busy. This place is quickly becoming my go to breakfast place. First off the host is the best I've ever see just completely enjoys what he does is very attentive and its a joy to watch him do his job . He remembered me after the second time I went in there and knew what I ordered least to say I was impressed i felt like an ass because I never asked him his name . The food was great I forgot what I got the first time I went there ( it was a year ago ) it was like eggs and home fries but they had like a chipotle aoli on it but I do remember it was good . The second time I went I had the pancakes and I couldn't believe how good they were i don't know if it was the mix or what but they were great .they have great blueberry muffins too . The parking might be a pain sometimes but it's in Quincy center so that's expected . If you were looking to go to place where everybody knows your name this place might not be cheers but it's pretty close. read more

I have been a semi-regular now for almost two years for many reasons. Tom the owner, Dave the server, and all of their staff have been nothing but kind, genuine, and extremely attentive to ALL of their customers. T hey have an open door to all guests and they treat everyone like family. Their incredible brunch menu is always updated and reminds me of my dad's delicious home cooking (the hollandaise cannot be beat!). The humble atmosphere and straight up local feel has always appealed to me more-so than any other mainstream breakfast restaurant or café (no offense to IHOP) and because of this they get tons of business on the weekends! But that is not to say that they don't handle it well; they are always moving full speed with positive energy and a smile. It goes without saying that their endless coffee can't be beat. The flavors are always incredible and in addition to that my favorite things to order are from the ever-changing specials menu---usually it is good to choose a combination of "something savory" and "something sweet"---and share it with a friend or partner! Lastly, I have returned to Craig's Cafe many many times with anyone I could bring along with me! Anytime I have family visiting I make Craig's one of our stops. People from San Antonio TX, Albuquerque NM, Portland OR, Chicago IL, and South Bend IN, have all experienced the greatness of Craig's! I will recommend them to Bostonians as well for as long as I live out here. Any sour review is probably the result of a sour person who sees the world through puce green glasses and finds the flaws in everything. If you are a patient person who enjoys incredible food with an incredible vibe, take the time to go to Craig's. I went here today with my girl and we had an amazing breakfast! It was the first time either of is had been there. After a long search for a great breakfast spot, we finally found our place! :) It's in a chill little spot in Quincy Center right by the edible arrangements place and across the way from the library. I must have passed it by dozens of times. When you step inside it's a cozy restaurant - and very busy (it was a Saturday morning) but we were seated quickly with a short wait. They have coffee that you help yourself to, there are like a dozen varieties. I had the Harvard one and the Maple one, both were very tasty. The service is the best I have encountered in a restaurant in Mass! Jenna, our server was very kind, helpful and attentive. My girl and I are vegetarians and she was quick to offer that anything on the menu could be modified, kind of like a mix and match sort of thing. Major props for that! The food was wicked good, we were both so pleased. I had the Craig's Benedict (lol) with the ham substituted for goat cheese. Blew me away! The hollandaise sauce they make is homemade. It's rich, creamy and has a nice, lingering finish on the palate. The eggs were perfectly poached with a nice, molten center and a nice, fluffy outside. The goat cheese was the best I've had, moist, tangy, fresh and it started to melt under the eggs. Most impressive. The home fries are delicious as well, not requiring any seasoning or hot sauce (and that's saying a lot, I love hot sauce on anything)! She had the spinach and feta omelette which was very tasty. It was very big and filled to the max. She remarked that the goat cheese from mine was so good she would have that instead of feta in the omelette next time. She also had the fresh squeezed orange juice which was apparently delicious as well. In short, I highly recommend Craig's Cafe. If you are looking for a great place with great service look no further. The food is fantastic, the prices very reasonable (the coffee is also included with breakfast I think) and the staff are epic, hardworking folks who clearly love what they do. I went with a group of 4 on a weekend and it was very busy. We had called ahead and still had to wait about 15 minutes to which they offered us bar seats. The servers were pleasant, however we only got checked in on about twice our entire time there. We asked for waters multiple times that never came and 2/4 plates were incorrect meals. Dave, you are my new waitstaff standard! First off, it's self serve coffee, but if you want an iced coffee, your waiter/ress will get that for you...and it's free. And delicious. My chap and I both ordered a variety of Eggs Benedict (Vermont for him, Irish for me), and we were both completely satisfied with the food. The Hollandaise sauce was excellent! They have a juicer with freshly made juice, a green and a tropical option. They are also topped with a large skewer of fresh fruit! Dined in recently and the service wasn't great. The waitress was not attentive and I could understand if they were busy, but there were only 2 tables sat. I came to this place before and was less than impressed but figured I'd give it another chance and sadly the only thing I got out of my visit was confirmation that I will NEVER go here again. -tables dirty with crumbs and liquid and when I asked the server to wipe it down, she did little pass over with dirty rag and knocked the crumbs onto my husband instead of away from us. - omelette cold and cheese barely melted - home fries are terrible. Some soft and mushy and then some hard - lemonade smelt like mop water and tasted sour and expired -self serve coffee available but had to wait a while for them to refill it -banana foster French toast completely eggy/soggy in the middle My stomach kind of hurts after leaving because I'm just so grossed out. The waitress was nice and agreed to take the old lemonade and the French toast off the bill, however she didn't comment on the fact that each of us had only taken like 2 bites off our plates. I've been in here a few times over the past couple of years and I'll keep coming back whenever I visit Quincy. I'm a huge lover of breakfast diners and Craig's never disappoints. After a late Friday or Saturday night Craig's starts you off right with serve yourself coffee. I personally don't drink coffee but my friends usually need it pretty badly and they prefer to not waste any time ordering. I personally just needed food in my stomach fast and my plan was to order one breakfast. I did just that and they brought me an amazing breakfast burrito with pretty much everything that should be had for breakfast. For $6 I got a wrap with scrambled eggs, bacon, home-fries (in the wrap), avocado, salsa, and sour cream. It was perfect, and big enough to bring half home and enjoy again. The servers are always friendly and usually efficient. I appreciate that they always wear Boston sports gear. They also actually know how to handle splitting up a check for a large group which is a rare find in a breakfast joint. Looking forward to my next trip to Quincy and capping it off with a recovery meal at Craig's again soon. read more

I just want to preface that this review refers to pick up service ONLY. I have been to Craig's many times and am always impressed with their food (I highly recommend the Hurricane), but today's order was TERRIBLE. I placed an order for a Fiesta sandwich, sweet potato home fries, and French toast. When I was rung up the cashier did not realize that I had ordered a full stack of French toast, as opposed to just a side, and quickly called for the kitchen to remake it. While I did appreciate this gesture, I had to wait an additional few minutes and the whole process felt very rushed. Once we received our food we were extremely underwhelmed. My boyfriend stated the Fiesta sandwich was inedible and the home fries were unseasoned and raw. The French toast was okay, but I am so happy they remade it because the original pieces were totally raw as well! I have not lost faith in Craig's yet because I have had so many tasty experiences there and perhaps this ordeal was due to the craziness of the holiday weekend, but I will be more skeptical about placing pick up orders in the future. read more

Considering I only microwave, they are pretty good. I do like the atmosphere, they always ask me how Im doing and actually remember my name. So the service part is excellent. They also keep the place cute and clean. The food is not that great. I eat there because its convenient, but last weeks potatoes were quite disappointing. So, its more like 3.5 starts. Hubby and I decided to try Craig's based on all the wonderful yelp reviews. I must agree with all the yelpers that this place is great! The man behind the counter was very friendly and was patient with us as we studied the menu. The food was delicious and cheap! Hubby ordered the bacon mushroom hash, I ordered the breakfast burrito, and we ordered a stack of blueberry pancakes for the baby and us to share. The portions are big and the total came up to less than $23! The coffee is also self service and they offer several flavors to try. There is only street parking and can be hard to find, otherwise we would probably be regulars here. read more

Craig's is one of my new-found favorite breakfast spots. It's in Quincy Center, which is tough. It's kind of... not kind of... IS a dump which is also tough. The food is amazing (!) and the service is fast and friendly. I have yet to have something I don't like. Corned Beef Hash is homemade and the Home Fries are quite possibly the best that I've ever had. They serve alcohol. They seem to be lagging behind on the gluten free trend; that didn't affect me personally but is worth noting. read more

The bottomless coffee is great and they always have some unique flavors; s'mores, egg nog, etc. The spinach, blue cheese, and bacon omelette is my go to along with sharing a chocolate chip muffin with my significant other. In the mood for breakfast, this cafe was close by and had a high rating. The location is good though parking takes some creative work. The place should be considered a dive, some exposed cement, unorganized food station near the back, and a feeling of simple origins, catering to the locals rather than impress them with a nice looking atmosphere. The waitress was very nice and pleasant, very important for a place that looks like this. In fact, the cooks in back were very nice as well; proves that the appearance of a place is second to excellent service. I ordered the Vermont Benedict which was nice, simple, and satisfying. The Bacon was good, though I always prefer the thick cut version. A good selection of coffees tops off the meal. This is a place I'd return to! read more
