I brought my 2015 Mercedes-Benz C300 4MATIC to Chris's Auto Repair on Jan 17 2025 for an oil change…read moreand diagnostic for a suspected defunct front axle and oil leak. Two weeks later I was told the timing-chain kit, oil-pump, upper & lower oil-pan gaskets, crank seal, water pump, right motor mount, both front axles, plugs, and "misc. seals." needed to be repaired. The cost estimate was $4,964 . I emphasized that my car was worth less than that at 107K miles and I wanted absolute certainty the repairs would address all the current issues the car was having. I was assured by Alex that the car would be fully repaired and functional without any issues. Immediately after pickup the car began constant misfires and hesitation between 5-25 mph. I gave him the benefit of the doubt (a mistake) and continued to allow their shop to work on rectifying their "repair". I returned it four times over the next month, each time reporting the same stumble. The shop dismissed it, saying their techs "didn't feel it as often." They never road-tested long enough to reproduce the problem. On the fourth return they assured me the transmission was fine after "cleaning corrosion on the harness." 24 hours later, while my pregnant wife was driving to pick up our toddler's birthday cake, the transmission cooler hose blew off, dumping every drop of ATF and stalling the car in traffic. The tow truck driver and two independent mechanics later confirmed that clip failures like this point to careless reassembly, not random bad luck. Back at the shop the story changed: the owner now said the transmission was "no good" and had to be replaced--directly contradicting what he told me the day before the leak. I had to pay out of pocket for a used 2016 4MATIC transmission, six quarts of genuine MB fluid, a filter, and another week without a car. Another $1000 to repair something the shop broke. Funny how that works. After installation the original misfire never changed--300-plus miles later it's exactly the same. Alex's explanation? "The transmission needs to learn; just keep driving." In other words, drive a malfunctioning car so the shop doesn't have to diagnose it. Now I have new problems: loud clanks while braking and turning, a bang when backing out of the driveway, and the car pulling right when braking in a straight line. Alex says "it needs right and left lower control arms ". The same control arms he looked at upon the initial assessment prior to first repair, stating they were worn but still "good". Now they've suddenly failed (another $2K) and insists that has nothing to do with the previous work or the transmission incident. The 6 times it's been back in that shop. Quite the concidence. After five visits, 4 tows (the ANNUAL limit for AAA. Thanks Alex) , two rental cars, and more than $7,000 spent, the vehicle is less safe than when it arrived. When discussing with Alex, he continues to deny accountability. Negligence, shifting stories, and zero accountability--this has been a financial and safety nightmare. If you value your car, your time, or your peace of mind, avoid Chris's Auto Repair. Reference to Reddit thread I created explaining issues. https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicAdvice/comments/1jm394b/had_5k_worth_of_work_done_on_my_2015_c300_cars/ Overwhelming opinion : Transmission hose incident = proof of improper reassembly. It doesn't just happen 1-2 days later after being "assessed". See you in court

Garavel Subaru absolutely deserves one heck of a review…read more After unexpectedly losing my previous car, I was stressed and overwhelmed about having to find a new one. From the moment I walked into Garavel Subaru, everyone made me feel comfortable. Amit was my salesperson, and I can't say enough good things about him. He was honest, upfront, and never once made me feel pressured. He explained the pricing clearly, answered every question I had, and took the time to show me all the features of my new Forester. I truly felt like he wanted me to find the right car, not just make a sale. I also want to thank Marcial, the sales manager. He was incredibly kind and compassionate. He took the time to listen to my situation and treated me with genuine empathy and respect. In a world where customer service can sometimes feel rushed or transactional, that really stood out. I was also shopping with my six-year-old son, who was getting a little restless, and everyone was so patient and kind with him. As a mom, those little things don't go unnoticed. The entire experience was smooth, honest, and surprisingly stress-free. I never felt pressured or misled, and I left feeling confident that I had made the right decision. Thank you Garavel Subaru! Thank you, Amit, Marcial, and everyone at Garavel Subaru for making what could have been a stressful experience such a positive one. I absolutely love my new Forester, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend your dealership to anyone looking for a car.

Highly recommend working with Byeong and Bob, they set the standard for what a dealership experience should be.
