Crave Sushi is indeed a proper name for this place! The sushi is so flavorful and delectable, it is hard not to want more and the minute I got up, I can't wait to go back. Everything we ordered was a piece of art, delicious and beautifully plated. I was happy to see one of my favorite drinks on their happy hour - a twist on a Hugo Spritz, and was only $10 (although it was very light). We sat outside and it was so refreshing. Our waitress was also such a delight - positive and sweet, kept telling us not to rush and enjoy the moment, she came and checked on us often despite how crowded the restaurant was starting to get inside. - We had such a wonderful time.

Hip new place with modern interior in midtown east! My cousin and I got the chef's tasting and picked mostly sushi dishes. The fish was so fresh and the flavors were great. I loved the salmon crispy rice. I also enjoyed the lychee tini bevvie I got on the side. The meal was a little bit pricey but nothing crazy for NYC. Definitely would recommend !!

What a great find! I was walking back to my hotel and when I saw the sign, I started craving sushi and I'm so glad I stopped. They had a happy hour special so I had to try a few things: edamame was crisp and perfectly cooked, the spicy tuna roll was flavorful and a really delicious yellow tail roll with a hint of mint and jalapeño was uniquely delicious.

My friend and I visited Crave Sushi Bar to try their happy hour which lasts from 5 - 6:30PM. On the surface it seems like a decent deal, with hand rolls for $6 and sushi rolls for $8.50 but portions are (expectedly) small and hard to be filling. I tried most of their happy hour menu which contains around 3 hand roll options and 3 sushi maki options and felt that the spicy scallop hand roll was my favorite of the bunch. The food was delicious and high-quality, and they lean into their sustainability practices but for a 'happy hour' you're probably better off visiting somewhere like Nami Nori where you can get five handrolls for $32 which contain more food. Service and ambiance were nice, with classic Japanese-themed artwork lining the walls and a sleek, modern bar tying in the area. The restaurant was still busy for a Tuesday afternoon which I think is a testament to the quality of the food, despite the higher price.

This evening we had a reservation to dine at the Crave Sushi Bar on Second Avenue near 50th Street and with the recommendations of Stevie, our server, we had an exceptional dinner. Since we were celebrating a friend's birthday, we ordered lots of their phenomenal rolls along with an ordee of salmon teriyaki. Everything we ordered was delicious! And we ended our feast with a warm chocolate chip cookie served, topped with vanilla ice cream! Even tbeir bathrooms were beautiful and tastefully designed.

Had to grab dinner solo after my other plans fell through and this place was great! I was seated outside when it started to rain & they very quickly were able to seat me inside at the sushi bar. Then they gave me a free salmon sushi! IDK if they do that for everyone or maybe they just felt bad for me dining solo on a rainy night Everything I ordered was great - spicy salmon on crispy rice, tuna sashimi, and a yellowtail roll (I forget the official name).

So happy to have found another amazing neighborhood gem! This place is fantastic! The ambiance is great for a date night, the food and service were also on point! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! Can't wait to come back

The dressed nigiri is so delicious. I have not had better sushi anywhere. I also live in Miami and you cannot find sushi this fresh anywhere. Open a location in Miami!

Was excited to a new addition in the neighborhood, I do love Crave fishbar next door and they special rolls at the bar. Unfortunately wouldn't come back for sushi, fish is fresh but the rice is definitely not a sushi rice and that makes it tasteless. Would definitely come back for Kumamoto oysters and they shrimp and crab dumplings that was delight. But sushi is no go. Beautiful decor great service otherwise

I had the best dining experience here, and it was all thanks to our amazing server, Katryna! She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and went above and beyond to accommodate my mom, who has celiac. The restaurant offers a variety of gluten-free options, and the menu clearly labels them, which made it easy. The vibe inside is pretty sophisticated and intimate as it's a pretty small restaurant! I truly felt like I was back in Tokyo. The bar is beautifully designed - a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal (would be a great date spot). The prices were very reasonable given the high quality of the food and the overall ambiance. Every dish we ordered was outstanding - some of the best food I've ever had! My favorite dishes were the salmon crispy rice, the scallop nigiri and the eel roll. I would recommend this to everyone!!! Truly a hidden gem!

We came with my husband's family when they visited in July since my husband and I came once before earlier and enjoyed it. We thought it would be a nice fancier dinner with his parents. The service was good and the food tasted good, its very unique and we like that they use local fish. We enjoyed the food, however sadly it seemed like the next day I got food poisoning, which is why I'm not rating it as high also because it is on the pricier end. However it was only me that got sick and the rest of my family was fine. Overall though it's a nice place.

Great place for happy hour! The drinks were only $10 and the mini handrolls were $6. The service was friendly and though our drinks did take a bit longer than expected, they were delicious. The ambiance is really nice too - we sat in a booth that was close to the bar, which felt very private. Would definitely come again!

Absolutely lovely little spot. Cozy booth and cool vibe. The sushi happy hour is great and the menu offers so many things. We tried a variety of rolls and sushi as well as the rock shrimp. We loved it all. Cocktail game is strong too. Service was wonderful and our server was friendly and helpful.

To drink, I had a Hot Organic Super Matcha Tea for 4.95. It was alright tea, and I wish teas were included in the price point, as otherwise, this place feels pretty traditional. In terms of food, I only ordered from the seasonal menu, so I'm not sure how the rest of the dishes are, but from what I had, I would go back for a light traditional meal. My appetizer was the Dashimaki Tamago/だし巻まき卵たま, or sweet savory omelet with daikon for $6.98. This came with three pieces along with a little dollop of grated radish. The pieces had a light sweetness to them along with a bit of savoriness. They were juicy and a bit bouncy while maintaining some softness. This was standard and good. My main dish was the $19.98 Beef Tan Tan Udon, or ground sirloin beef, spicy broth, baby bok choy, kikurage mushroom, scallions, and sesame seeds. While I have preferred udon from spots like Raku, the udon had a mild chew to it, and they were still good. The broth had a mix of sweetness and spiciness with a nice depth of flavor. The vegetables inside tasted fresh, and the meat added some richness. This was good as well. I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to go here, but the food was good. If you're in the area and looking for no frills Japanese dining in a more comfortable atmosphere at pretty decent Midtown East prices, I would recommend this place.

The wait times have gotten better over the years (probably because people are waiting for the restaurant next door), but the food and drinks here are still top-notch.
