I stopped in this weekend to visit my parents for Easter. We were nearby at Oakwood mall when I came across reviews for this place, so I figured we'd check it out. We were NOT disappointed. Everything was fresh, made to order, and the staff were pleasant and attentive. (They even brought our food to our table.) There were a few tables for dining in and the place was kept very clean. I had a shrimp poboy and my wife had the fish platter, which she loved. My daughter had the seafood gumbo, and the boys had a mix of different sandwiches (and a wrap) which they were all very pleased with when asked. I'm lowkey sad that I didn't actually try the crawfish, corn, or potatoes but that just gives me an excuse to visit my parents more often, right? read more

Definitely the best surf n turf poboy I've ever had. I love the bold, slightly acidic flavor of the gravy. Idk if that's the right word I want to use but it's so good. Their shrimp are huge and flaky and the roast beef is sliced and not mashed which I absolutely love. The poboy is best eaten right away because how saucy it is. We also ordered the crawfish pies which come out spanking hot. The seafood platter was amazing. If you love a lot of seasoning on your fried fish, it's for you! I wasn't a fan of the seasoning as I felt like it was overpowering the fish but I know a lot of people like it that way. Super crispy and fresh. Something about their fried rice.. def the best "fast food" fried rice I've ever had. I was expecting mediocre fried rice, but it was actually pretty good and fluffy. The boiled crawfish isn't good as most local seafood stores. It was only once I got from there that was good. Not sure why.

It's okay. I really blame myself because I went to a seafood spot and didn't get seafood. I stopped in here for lunch and the staff was great. I got the Monday special- red beans and rice with sausage and it came with cornbread. The red beans were okay and the sausage was fine. Nothing to write home about and, again, it's a seafood place. Everyone else was getting crawfish. The cornbread: honey, I don't know what this is, but it isn't corn bread. It was like this oddly sweet cake. I think of cornbread as something more on the savory side with a little sweetness. This tasted like it was coated in sugar. I'll go back and just get seafood and keep my cornbread thoughts to myself. read more

Love the staff and food here. I had gotten roughly 12-20 pounds three to four times of crawfish each time. The crawfish is never over cooked and it slides out the shell easy. IT TASTES GREAT. Doesn't need any fixing, seasoned perfectly. Bathroom was clean. Staff respectful. All in all, it was delicious. I go here to order large orders for family nights. Gumbo is good, I ask for rice separately though. Shrimp po boy is . Beautiful shrimps in those po boys. Crawfish is CLEANED. I never have grit or dirt any of the times I've ordered there. It's good. Crawlins is the best new seafood spot in town! Before trying Crawlins, I have no idea where I would tell people to go if they asked about boiled seafood in NOLA! Their fried chicken wings with crack sauce is amazing. The crack sauce is one of the best sauces Ive ever had with chicken. It also goes good with the boiled seafood as well! They also have delicious poboys. Their friend shrimp and surf n turf po boys are really well made and have great flavor. Now, let's talk about the boiled seafood. Some of the best I've ever had. ESPECIALLY the crawfish. They crawfish comes in this reply good garlic sauce and it makes eating crawfish worth getting your hands dirty!! Their boiled crab and shrimp are also amazing!! Ok ok crawlins I see y'all!! I swung to the westbank to grab a poboy and gumbo bcos the two pairings just make perfect sense for a Louisiana lunch! They did NOT come to play y'all! This establishment is right off of terry pkwy so SLOW YA ROLL bcos you will miss it. However, they do have their own parking so just whip your car into one of those slots! What I got? Shrimp poboy and gumbo ( also some heart burn and the food coma) Shrimp poboy? OVER STUFFED, SEASONED, work of art! Shrimps colossal size. Chicken sausage shrimp gumbo? Nice new spot in Terrytown. I love crawfish, and this place was heard about and was a must try. The place is new and very clean. The crawfish had great flavor, but could have used just a tad bit more spice. I like really spicy. They were definitely juicy and were a nice size! I I think they had D&D smoked sausage. One of my favorite spots to get wings! They are always super friendly and customer service is great! Food is always fresh and hot when served. I get the fried chicken wings with the fried rice and it's SO good. the best fried rice i have ever tasted in the city and the wings are just as good. i haven't tasted the seafood yet but i've heard it's really good. i've only had a small sample of their crawfish and it was good and seasoned! that's what i'm going to try next. read more

Came after opening but wanted to wait until I got a taste of their crawfish to get the full experience. The gumbo was AMAZING. Full of flavor and my parents loved it. The meat and crawfish pies were good. We got five pounds of each flavor. The viet cajun was the absolute best and I definitely recommend. It definitely had that mix of viet and cajun flavors you expect while not being too heavy to where you feel like you're gonna have a heart attack. The traditional was kind of like what you expect from an at home boil with your family. The garlic butter was good too. Came here for some poboys and ordered the soft shell crab and roast beef with gravy. The portions like most food in Nola is massive. I had to split my sandwich to two meals. I'm docking one star in my review because even though the ingredients were fresh, the seasoning for both crab and roast beef were extremely salty. We were recommended this new crawfish place by a friend and it is by far the best crawfish we've ever eaten!! Had to come back a second time during our 4 day trip to New Orleans. Very close to the city center so make sure to stop by! We got 3 different flavors of crawfish: traditional Cajun, garlic butter, and Viet Cajun! The favorite at the table was the Viet Cajun crawfish, a bit buttery and flavorful and cooked with tamarind. We also tried the shrimp Po boy, sausage Po boy, turkey neck, a pig foot, and gumbo. The gumbo was AMAZING and the best out of 3 other restaurants we visited during our trip!! It's a must try when coming here! The owner Jimmy was super kind and all of the staff made sure our food was good. There is also a large selection of drinks to pick from. Don't miss out during your visit! After a gator tour in the bayou outside New Orleans, we were famished. Stopped in for a late lunch. The counter gal was so nice and helped us figure out which delicious southern meal we wanted to try. We settled on the spicy shrimp po'boy and a cup of gumbo. The gumbo was absolutely divine. I'm fact there's was so much of it, we couldn't finish it but took them gumbo to go and finished it for dinner. The service, food and atmosphere would keep us coming back for more.
