Been coming to this location since I was a kid, lately, it's gone downhill. The wall paper is peeling, the soda machine doesn't have carbonation, the kitchen seems confused as wraps have hardly any rice in them now and no sauce. The staff is kind but I've stopped coming to this location and now go out to the chesterfield valley, much better quality of food and the wraps taste how they should, not overloaded with raw carrots and zero sauce. read more

Went on Saturday night at around 730. Service was excellent both employees were quick and very helpful. I had the ultimate chopped salad with grilled chicken. The salad was tasty although too many tomatoes onions and corn. I was looking for more spinach and lettuce. The salad had avocado too which I enjoyed. If you've never been, my 2 favorite things here are the chicken pesto bowl with white rice and anything with their creamy buffalo sauce, it's so good I can almost drink it! I absolutely love this place!! They are fast food gone healthy and all of their food is made fresh daily with high quality ingredients. I love their fajita bowl and sometimes the Buffalo chicken wrap. This location has the best staff. Always friendly to all the customers coming in and handling it well when things get crazy busy at lunchtime. My only complaint is I wish they would bring back the old Tossed Kale Quinoa salad. I've ordered from this location maybe 6x in the last 6 months. I keep telling myself "don't order it again - you'll regret it" but here I am, on my 6th order disappointed yet again. I've yet to receive an order that is fully accurate. Sometimes they forget the sauce, get the parts of the order wrong, the chicken isn't cooked all the way, hair in the food. The list goes on and on. Even removing all of those faults, the food just isn't any good. I used to love CBW but good god I don't know how many more chances I can give the place. Wow! This was crazy good!! We hadn't really eatten before driving from St. Louis to the Butterfly House, so by the time we left, we were famished. My brother recommended it because there are other locations in St. Louis that he had tried. For the rest of us, this was a new experience. We had lunch at Crazy Bowls and Wraps. I used to go here a lot when I lived in University City. I didn't go to this particular store, but if it was then as it is now, I wish I had. Since I no longer live in the area, I also didn't know what it would be like during the Pandemic of 2020. We could sit inside or outside at a table. The tables available were separated by a table for two. We chose an inside table. All employees wore face masks and gloves. They offered curb side pickup and online order pickup, as well as people ordering and waiting for to go orders and like us, ordering and sitting at tables to eat-in. When we looked at the menu, we were overwhelmed. We figured out approximately what we wanted and with help from our order taker, we ordered. I got a small Mediterranean bowl on cauliflower rice with grilled chicken. It was done quickly. It's been way too long for CBW and me. So good. I had never had cauliflower rice. Yum! Everything in the Mediterranean Bowl was perfect. I was so delighted to find feta cheese. The olives added the delicious briny taste for which they're known. Crispy cucumbers are so good in so many things. The pepperoncinis scare me. I see pepper=spicy. But it wasn't. Even for me. So thank you CBW. You stayed good and even got better. Wanted to try out a new place that seemed to offer some healthier choices then the average fast food location. I defiantly hit the mark with this place, while quickly made, the quality of food isn't that of your run of the mill fast food joint. I had never been before so I was not sure what to order, asked the staff for suggestions and they weren't very helpful and seemed preoccupied with other things. So, I ended up with the stir fry bowl which was brown rice, chicken and teriyaki sauce. I ordered the small which was plenty of food. The sauce bar was nice to add some additional flavor to my bowl. The chicken was cooked just how I like it with plenty of flavor, but I would say next time I will ask for light on the dressing as my rice and veggies were drowning in teriyaki sauce. Given I love the flavor of teriyaki, I just was wanting a healthier option and didn't want my rice and veggies sinking like the Titanic. I am more then happy to give this place another shot and plan on it, just will make a few adjustments next time! read more

What has happened to Crazy Bowls??? I have been a customer since the days they were called Bonzai and although I eat there in spurts, it has always been good. That is until my last visit 3 weeks ago. Nothing about the visit was good. I placed my order for a chicken teriyaki bowl with dark meat. The food that arrived looked like white meat of chicken and when I asked the server to replace it with the dark meat I ordered I was told they no longer have dark meat. I asked why this was not mentioned when I ordered and she shrugged as if I had asked her to explain the theory of relativity. I proceeded to eat it anyway and the chicken was dry, tough and tasteless. No knife was served and I had to eat like a caveman, ripping off bite-sized pieces of chicken with my teeth while holding it with my fork. I was so dissatisfied that I went to the Crazy Bowls website and described my experience. It has been 3 weeks and I have not heard a word. Guess that pretty much explains it. They now have a more limited menu, serve food that is bad and they don't care. They won't see me back any time soon, nor the co-workers, friends and relatives with whom I have shared this information. read more

Ever since cbw has been getting worse I notice that the tables are always dirty and off balance, same goes for the chairs. And the teenager at the cashier position are always highly engaged in there Snapchat and instagram. She also continuously messed up my order. I love crazy bowls and wraps. I eat there often. ( At least once a month.) I have been avoiding this particular location because I have had issues with the food. For example, I had some odd colored vegetables once and my corn salsa had a produce sticker in it another time. (Looked like they cut the veggies without washing the sticker off) Just recently I was in and got food poisoning from the Clarkson rd. location. I will NEVER eat here again! The place has gone downhill over the past several years. Disgusting! So, if you enjoy vomiting chicken and brown rice from 7am-11pm eat here! I usually love crazy bowls, but this location is horrible. I ordered an buffalo chicken wrap. They were out of grilled chicken, which would have been fine on its own, but they offered to replace with crispy chicken and still upcharged for it. The crispy chicken was bad quality and seemed undercooked and fatty. Also, I ordered brown rice but they made it with white rice, and the order was take out so I wasn't able to get it fixed like I would have if I ate in the restaurant. Also, the wait between ordering and the food being ready was over 30 minutes. Workers were unapologetic. Overall a horrible experience. Save yourself a bad time and go to the location in the valley instead. It's worth the extra drive. read more

My first time visiting and was thrilled to find a quick service restaurant that has SO many great healthy options, including organic ingredients and beverages. This chain needs to expand so there are more locations. My stir fry veggie bowl hit the spot and left me feeling satisfied that I enjoyed a quality meal as if I cooked it at home with high quality ingredients. Atmosphere is bright and clean. The food here is pretty good and healthy options. The help is consistently more focused on themselves rather than good customer service. The last time I was here and tonight, the same issue. As we were checking out at 8:20pm, the staff is very pushy about the fact they close at 9:00pm and they want people out of the dining room so they can clean. They are already breaking down their dining room before 8:30pm. If the ownership and management is so intent on having everyone out of the restaurant before closing at 9:00pm, perhaps they should modify their hours to close at 8:00pm instead. I'm seriously questioning why I'd want to come back for service like this. If it happened once, I could overlook it. It's clearly a pattern. read more

If you are going to this place thinking healthier then think twice because the servings contain very few veggies or white meat and more of noodles or rice. Moreover, there is more of cabbage than other meaningful veggies such as broccoli or edamamme. The salmon is also farm raised and not sure what quality salmon you can get that cheap. The sauces are also high in high fructose corn syrup. So think again if eating healthy is your reason for choosing this place. Sorry for ruining it for you. read more

Walked in during a weekday for lunch and there was virtually zero line. It was my first time and I asked for a recommendation as I really wasn't sure what this place really was. Super nice gal behind the counter and she made the recommendation for the fajita bowl. Sure, why not, I have no idea what I'm getting in to. I chose the small bowl and chicken for the protein and then had the option to choose quinoa instead of rice. OOOH! You're getting my attention with the quinoa! I was given a number and took a seat and the meal was out in just a few minutes. Piping hot and kept thinking through the entire meal how delicious it was. Grilled chicken, summer squash and zucchini, shredded cheese and some sort of sauce that blew my mind. I noted some sort of sauce and hummus bar by the water and soda machines but there was no need for my dish. It was perfect just the way it was. Whole new world of comfort food here... The teenagers that worked where sitting in the tables on break I guess. Also what is with the 90's alternative music, nirvana, 311, etc no place for families with rock music like that. For one thing the hummus was clumpy and had a fowl odor and sour taste. One of the highlights of cbw used to be the sauces you could add to your dish or just eat them with chips. I kindly told the cashier and she let me know that the chef would make another one. We waited for 10 minutes for hummus until we eventually gave up. The atmosphere used to be for families with 90s soft rock music. Today I was surprised to have dined with a heavy rock atmosphere where our family with children could not wait to leave. The food is good. And this location is reasonably clean. It was unfortunate that we interrupted the manager vacuuming the rug as we tried to enter the door. Her scowl almost made us turn around and leave. She vacuumed the entire time we were there. It was 2 hours til closing. The restaurant was at least half full. Others were annoyed. It she didn't care. She seemed determined to ruin everyone's meal and maybe get them to leave quickly. Had to wait to get drinks while she vacuumed. Had to wait to get salsa while she vacuumed. She seems miserable in this customer service role and seems quite content to share her misery with her customers. She seems to have taught the rest of the staff well. They were just as rude and dismissive. It's sad. The food and location are good. But the service will keep us away. What happened to brand standard? The other locations have friendly staff. This location needs some serious investigation. We will not go back. Too many other options near by. read more

I love me some CBW!!!! I think I could eat it seven days a week and am pretty sure I did over the winter. The chicken pesto griller is where it's at and the black bean egg roll is major noms!! Their chips are fresh and crispy with the perfect amount of salt and the corn salsa is a great accompaniment. Their dessert option is rice krispy treats - one of my all time favorite childhood throw backs. Just when I didn't think it could get any better they added full leaf, organic teas. Kudos! read more
