I came here on a Thursday lunch hour with a friend who hipped me to an off-menu item called black bean egg rolls. For my meal I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl that was very heavy with vegetables and a decent amount of chicken. The steam from the veggies did cause the bowl to be a bit more watery at the bottom of the bowl but I asked for additional sauce to take with my bowl home to have as lunch the next day. She is vegetarian so she did order a vegetable wrap of sorts and it looked very nutrient dense with crisp green lettuce. I learned that they do keep the leftover containers with lids by the trash area so if you need to take your order to go while dining in, you can self-serve. This was my first time going since all of their menu upgrades. I needed something fast and relatively healthy. I went with the high protein bowl. This is a bowl with mixed veggies and double protein. Depending on the protein there is an up charge for each. The tenderloin steak was $3.50 to upgrade. But I wanted to try. The flavor was very good but you get probably less than an ounce of meat, at least that's what I would say was in this bowl. It was an extremely, extremely small portion. And it was in tiny little chopped up pieces. The grilled chicken was a $1.50 upgrade. Even that was maybe 2 ounces max of sliced chicken. To get all steamed broccoli instead of a mixed veggie is $0.75. That was fine. There was tons of broccoli. Compared to other places with a similar style, healthy options fast, I think you're getting a little less "bang for your buck". The bowl was flavorful and tasted good. But I feel like for all the charges based on your protein selection, there should be at least a normal portion. The service at this location was fine. No one really greeted me or said anything to me at all. They were very busy during lunch. They only seemed to engage with people who ordered in store. I ordered online and my bag was shucked onto a shelf without even calling the name out even though a lot of people were waiting for their orders. You had to go up and check the bags for your name every time they put an order on the shelf if you placed it online. Again, not bad. Not good. Just nothing special. This is a great option if you're needing something quick and relatively healthy. My order didn't take long from placing to pickup. The "sauce bar" is now a grab and go fridge which is a nice upgrade and much more germ friendly. The store was clean and I had no complaints there. I just think the pricing for portion compared to the old menu and portions was a surprise! read more

Went in late on a Sunday afternoon, so no lunch rush. One person was in the store and had ordered well before I got there. You order on the screen, but if you have any questions, forget about it. The lady working the front never once turned around or greeted me or asked if I needed help. After placing the order, it took over 20 min to get it. Others that came in well after me had their stuff come up when mine was. I had to yell to the people in the back preparing food how much longer it was going to be, and they had to go find the person working the front to come package my food. The food came out great, the issue was the service. When I walked in to order, (and a few people right behind me) there were 2 ladies who worked there, standing behind the counter, not acknowledging anybody and just talking/gossiping with each other. One of them kept getting on her phone, rudely ignoring everyone. I didn't see the kiosk in front of me, and figured like every other time I come in and order, if a person was available they would take my order. So I waited for about 2 minutes before realizing and asking if I should order on the kiosk, to which they said yes There was a young gentleman who was working to refill cups of salsa, so he was busy which is understandable. But the two ladies who were standing behind the counter in front of the kitchen were not doing anything and didn't acknowledge anybody. The napkins/utensils needed refilled as well, and while the young man was working to bring orders out and refill sauces, they could've been doing things to be helpful. They then disappeared to the back and when I needed extra napkins and a to go box there was no one there to help. Just common social skills and courtesy go a long way. I was looking for gluten free food on my way home last night. I found that Crazy Bowls & Wraps had some gluten free options. When I arrived, the lady at the counter greeted me with a smile and was very helpful. They have an option of ordering on a computer screen in front of the register. The great thing about the digital menu is that there is a lifestyle section where you can choose to only see the gluten free food options. You can also see all of the ingredients in each item on the screen. The dining room was very cute and the food tasted great! I will be going back again. read more

My son got a chicken power wrap and the chicken was super dry, and as he put it "so chewy" he couldn't even finish it. I haven't been to a CBW in a few years, and I was pleasantly surprised by the rebranding. Fresh, fast flavors that are sure to delight your tongue, pocketbook, and your waistline! My one tiny goof was ordering the fajita bowl. There is literally a giant roasted jalapeno pepper in there that's snuck in perfectly to make you think it's a regular part of the meal. I accidentally took a huge bite/swallow on it, mistaking it for a grilled bell pepper. :( Don't do this. Overall, delicious and healthy foods served fast, in a clean restaurant. In the past I've had some veggies that were a bit harder to bite into just because they weren't cooked completely through, but still good. I have been to CBW in Rock Hill many times and have pleasant experiences. This was my first time at the Chesterfield valley location. I ordered the falafel starter and the Thai peanut bowl. The falafel starter was supposed to come with hummus and tzatziki, but I didn't receive either. I wish I had because on their own, the falafel were mushy and flavorless. I also found a rotten red pepper in my bowl. 2 stars because the Thai peanut sauce is bangin', but I was overall very disappointed by my visit. read more

I eat at the different Crazy Bowls & Wraps locations around town pretty regularly. It's an easy, healthy, tasty meal when I'm in a hurry. My default order is the Chicken Fajita bowl over lettuce instead of rice (cut those carbs where you can!) I made my vegan friend eat here recently. He's super picky but he ordered the Kale & Quinoa Soup (vegan) and really liked it. He loved the fresh mint and ginger on the flavor bar. Yay, we can go out to eat once again. Honestly I don't know why I keep coming back here. It's my fault at this point but it's close to work so out of convenience I go here often. Every time I order from here I have to check my bag because they forget something they charged me for. It's also frustrating anytime I order a bowl they give you what feels like a small portion just in their regular size togo box and charge you for a regular. The rice portion is a joke and also overcooked you the point where it is basically mush but you're distracted more by the fact that there's only two pieces of chicken on your entire meal. Plus I was full for the remainder of the day. The restaurant is clean. The menu options are varied enough that everyone should be able to find something to eat. The location is convenient to the highway and lots of other shopping but away from the busiest, most congested part of Chesterfield Valley/Wal-Mart/Chick-fil-a traffic. It sits right in front of Target but if you are on the Target side of THF Blvd., it's easy to miss, so look for the Sleep Number store, because CBW is in front of that, facing Chesterfield Airport Road. read more

This place was an absolute rip-off. The food was average at best, and the menu is super confusing and management was horrible. The manager asked if I wanted chicken with my bowl. The menu didn't indicate there would an additional charge, so I said yes. When I got the receipt (which I didn't even get asked if I wanted it, I had to take it off the printer myself), I got charged an additional $1.50 (2x) for the chicken. I questioned the manager about the additional charge, all she did was point to tiny sign by the register that said that chicken was an additional $1.50. She also pointed that the small print on menu next to the bowl (This is usually where restaurants just put the condiments) mentions double protein. Technically she didn't do anything wrong, it's just common courtesy to let customers know that what they offer you is going to be an additional charge and point out that there is more to it than just the menu. She said "I know, it's frustrating". But she knew damn well what she was doing. read more
