Crazy burger more like greasy burger. Hard pass for me next time. Don't be fooled by the high yelp ratings, and the long waits, the food is worse than decorations. It sounded really amazing but I had not had a turkey burger in so long that I went for the turkey burger with their amazing coleslaw. My friend had the salmon burger, which she loved, and french fries, which I sampled and they were crunchy and delicious. I love this place they do a natural catch-up. They also sell the commercial brands or they serve commercial brands but they make their own catch-up they make their own sauces. I had a great I don't even remember what the sauce was. It was so good the burger was spiced with curry and turmeric and all kinds of great Middle Eastern spices which really punched up the flavor, my girlfriend had some sort of a sweet mustard sauce with her burger. This was a great burger joint feature on ddd! I had the chicken burger (I forget what it was called) it was blended with chorizo on an almost English muffin type bun! Had the Thai slaw and sweet potato fries! My favorite side was the balsamic bean salad... it might be the best bean salad ever! The only negative thing about this place is it gets crowded and the layout can make for fairly close quarters. But, the reason I am giving it a 5 is because the menu is unbelievable. However this time even though it was quite busy at the time (which I understand) the service was sub par especially compared to the food. Our waitress got us water and took our order and that was it. We did not see her again the entire time until she brought out our food after a very long time. Something should have been said to us as we were waiting for such a long time (again, probably because the place was busy which we understand). We eventually got our food and our waitress was nowhere to be seen. After a while of being finished with our meals, another nice young girl came over and got us our boxes and check. I called here on Saturday - the day before Easter - to check in their Easter Sunday hours. I was told very specifically they were closing at 3 because of the holiday. So, on Easter Sunday my husband and I drove 4 hours to meet my mom who drove 3 hours and our son who lives in the area for lunch. We arrived at 2:15 to see a sign on the door that said they were closing at 2. What?!? So we went in. The place was still crowded. My husband explained the situation to several people who worked there and their attitude was 'whatever'. .We were also told that there had been other people who had come in who had been told they were closing at 3. They honestly just didn't give a crap that we had driven all that way and had been given incorrect information. The response we got was - yeah we're closed. The name of this establishment is fairly apt as their assortment of burgers were indeed fairly crazy. This place is also quite popular, so expect there to be a wait. My friends and my friend's sister and family came here on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend to get dinner here. We had to wait about an hour before getting seated, which gave us enough time to head to the local packie (heard yall Rhode Islanders call your liquor stores "package stores" instead) and grab a couple of six packs of beers, since this place is also BYOB. Once we were finally seated, we still had to hrmm and ahh over the various offerings on their rather large menu. I started with some of their corn and risotto fritters and I got their mushroom burger for my main. I thought the former could've been either sweeter or more savory and I thought the latter needed more seasoning. The burger just kind of fell apart, which was kind of unappetizing for me, and it was also bland. A shame, because this place was awesome otherwise. Awesome joint in Narragansett, Rhode Island! It has a hip vibe to it and is a super casual ambiance. It also includes both outdoor and indoor seating (with heaters!). They have a breakfast menu and a dinner menu (which also has dessert options); both menus include a variety of options for all types of people from vegans, to gluten free, vegetarians, and beef eaters and so on! They also have an extensive coffee, smoothie and juice menu which is really nice! I have been there three times, all of which for dinner so I can't personally speak for their breakfast/brunch menu (but the entire menu is listed on their website and it looks great with some really different and interesting options). All three of my experiences there have been consistently pleasant and delicious. Some things to note is that it does get crowded. I was there yesterday evening and the wait for 2 was 30 minutes and that was just on a Tuesday evening at around 7:45pm. But do not let the wait turn you away! There is seating out front that allows you to sit and relax instead of standing in a cramped restaurant, impatiently waiting for your name to be called. There are a handful of complaints about the service which I find surprising because the wait staff is very nice and accommodating. Sure they aren't available at your beck and call but this is a casual restaurant and the service fits what you're getting. Crazy Burger is BYOB which is awesome and the staff offers to keep your beer, wine or liquor in the fridge to allow it to chill and offers chilled glasses for your drinks. Now onto the most important aspect...the food! They do not call it Crazy Burger for nothing; they truly do offer a variety of burgers (as well as entrée dishes, salads and appetizers for those who may prefer something aside from a burger). Originally, I had a plan to try out all of the burgers so on my first visit I had the Poco Loco which was delicious, my second trip I tried the Mumbai Turkey burger and I loved it so much that I don't think I can ever order something different. They also offer a handful of different sides that only cost an additional $1 so I always get the roasted vegetable salad which includes mushrooms, eggplant, peppers, etc. and it is delicious. I have also had the Pacific Rim Rolls as an appetizer which were featured on Drivers, Dine-Ins & Dives and they were super yummy and then the next time around had the Naan Contender which was even better. So I came back for round 2! We had a party of 7 and we tried to get seating on the outdoor patio but it could have been another 45 minutes to an hour wait, so we opted to snag the booth they were offering to us. We started the meal off properly and got the booze flowing! We brought margs and 2 bottles of pino, because hey, you never know!! We then began the meal with three apps. The table ordered: Chicken Wings Gone Crazy: 12 wings served in one of our signature sauces; sauces: Buffalo Sauce General Dean's, Barbecue or sweet bourbon sauce. My brother opted for the buffalo sauce which was served with blue cheese, carrots and celery. Red Cashew Filled Portabella Cap: Overflowing with roasted cashew - red pepper pesto; topped with fresh mozzarella, on a bed of field greens drizzled with balsamic reduction. This was absolutely amazing!! The mushroom cap was grilled perfectly but still kept its shape to hold the red cashew filling. The red cashew filling was also extremely good and with the flavors of the fresh mozz and balsamic vinegar, were all together paired perfectly. For meals: My brother decided he would create his own burger, a DOOM burger. This was two patties, which I believe he asked to be filled with cheese, topped with bacon. They were more than happy to accommodate his request. My grandfather got the Crazy Stir Fry- Served over Fried Brown Rice. Snow Peas, Peppers, Broccoli, Carrots and onions. tossed in delicious stir fry sauce with chicken. The presentation of this dish was beautiful! The color of the veggies really popped on the white dish and I didn't hear any complaints about his dinner so he must have enjoyed it. Both my grandmother and dad got the special burger of the day which was the Firecracker Burger. It was topped with roasted red peppers and red onion. I guess there was supposed to be a lot of spice to it but both my dad and grandmother who love heat in their food didn't get much. My mom ordered the Sea Scallops and Shrimp dish, this was another special of the night. It was sooo good. The shrimp and scallops were grilled to perfectly and the coconut sauce gave it such a tropical taste! It was on a bed of rice with roasted red and green peppers along with red onions that had been sauteed. My friend got the Ma-Ma-Mumbai Turkey Burger : Ground turkey infused with rosemary, curry, cumin, allspice & ginger root; finished w/gooey smoked gouda & apples served on a bolo. I thought this was a very unique burger and she said it was bursting with flavor. She thoroughly enjoyed every last bite! I had the Chana Masala burger which is off the vegan menu, one thing I think I love the most about this place! This was a veggie burger held together by basmati rice comprised of chickpeas, celery and carrots. Flavored with spices such as curry, cumin and all spice. This burger was served on grilled naan bread, which I only had a few bites of but boy was it was delicious! The two side sauces that came with this were mango chutney and a curry/yogurt based dipping sauce. Both were full of flavor and really accented all the spices in the burger. I also got sweet potato fries which when dipped in either sauce was quite delicious!! Again, the service was great for such a busy Friday night, they turned out the food rather quickly for the crowd. I don't know if I made mention of the decor last time but its pretty funky in there, with Christmas lights and paper laterns of all different shapes and sizes hanging from the ceiling. My friends and I came here for breakfast yesterday based on other good reviews we found online and they did not steer us wrong! The pancakes were delicious and the home fries were AMAZING! They were super friendly and accommodating and the patio in the back had the coolest hippie vibe that we loved. It felt like we were in some secret hidden gem. The only reason I took 1 star off is because I ordered apple juice not realizing that also was freshly squeezed. I for one was not a fan of chunky apple juice. After 1 sip I realized I would not be drinking it. When the bill came I saw that the apple juice was over $7!!! The juice alone was more than my home fries and pancakes, and I didn't even drink it! Yes, my reason for coming here was Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Yes, the food was outstanding. Yes, you must come here. My wife and I were seated on the (sort of make-shift) outdoor dining patio. 'Twas a brisk day but the heating lamps were toasty. The burger selection was so widespread and innovative. You could say that they were 'crazy burgers'. I do have to mention the appetizer we started off with: sweet-risotto corn fritters. Oh my god were these things good. These were served up quickly right out of the hot oil with bomb dipping sauces. Our burgers were cooked to perfection and so good. I wish I had enough time and stomachs to try so much more. Prices were fair and the service was fine. One star off because I thought it was a little sketchy that the patrons walk through the kitchen to get to the "patio". I'm sure that breaks a code somewhere. Either way, look past that and GO HERE. I adore crazy burger and take the hour drive down here just for these three items: The Goofy Gorgonzola burger is a thick, rich cheesy morsel of awesome. This burger ruined me for all other burgers. The chocolate peanut butter shake will be the best shake you've ever tasted. Not too thick, not too thin. Just a blend of light chocolate and peanut butter that tastes a like a Reeses peanut butter cup. Having been told weekday mornings were the only way to get in I had given up hope on having a scrumptious and unique burger ever digesting in my tummy. Obviously that changed. They seem to offer a burger based on ever type of protein available. Beef, Mahi Mahi, Turkey, Lamb, Lentil, Tempeh, Mushrooms, and more make up their patties. I like that the burgers are pressed into a tortilla and the sauces are on the side. This eliminates the drippy mess many beef burgers create. I had the Poco Loco Vegan burger pressed neatly into a tortilla with a mound of avocado. On the side was some nice spicy salsa, and a rich and creamy (vegan) sour cream with chive interspersed into it. The patty wasn't dry or crumbly nor was it a sopping mess. The beans and other items joined harmoniously to create a nice patty. For a side I opted for the balsamic bean salad, which was made simply with white beans, bell peppers, scallions, and a balsamic honey dressing. My date had the Loco Burger with good ole USDA Beef. His was too pink for me to dar to try, but it came neatly pressed with avocado and a side of salsa. The sweet potato fries were nice and crisp but it was almost too much to pair them with their sweet homemade ketchup. CB also makes their own pickles, yum yum! Get a 12 oz of a fresh squeezed/pressed juice. I had the pear cucumber ginger and it was the perfect sweet/spicy mix.
