We actually went here on our first date 13 years ago and have been fans ever since. Good variety of sushi options both raw and cooked plus hibachi too. I tried the sushi sandwich this time and loved it. Definitely a good spot for fresh sushi.

My family and I always have the shrimp hibachi, the food is always hot, delicious and you get a good sized portion. It comes with soup and salad before the meal. The service is great definitely planning on going there again!

Pros: clean and intimate. Very spacious Cons: pretty bland. Unfortunately the flavors or options of their sushi wasn't anything that sets them apart from anywhere else. No wow 1st time moment..Had to drench sushi in shrimp sauce to get some flavor to make food more palatable.

Great food and a fairly intimate setting, our service was fantastic and the sushi was really good. I went here with a couple of friends to celebrate a birthday at lunchtime. I didn't go crazy on the sushi, just did two simple rolls, while the rules were good. The service was just outstanding. We were celebrating a birthday and we're not trying to eat as much sushi as we could. And our server made sure she left us alone to a certain extent, drink refills came quickly. Any special request came quivkly too. I will have to go back to give you a good assessment of the sushi. My rules were good, but like I said, I went pretty plain vanilla with some Philadelphia roll and some tempura roll, so I'd like to go back and be a little more..

Had a great birthday dinner for my grandson. We had a decent size group and our service was great. Everyone enjoyed their meals, hibachi and salads. It was a nice enjoyable atmosphere.

Really good place for sushi! Very accessible location, with a good amount of seating for larger groups. I also love how their lunch specials are available during the weekends as well. I got the 3 roll lunch special and it was a solid choice. They are generous with their rolls, with a good rice to fish/filling ratio. The spicy tuna and salmon were fresh and tasted delicious. The service was good as well, with very friendly and accommodating waitresses. However, the wait for food can take a while, so just be prepared for that. But otherwise, excellent place! :)

I enjoyed a great meal at Crazy Sushi last night. I hadn't been there in years, but will definitely be adding it to the rotation now. Family members enjoyed the Green Dragon Roll & the Teppanyaki Vegetable entree. I ordered the Rock In Roll (shrimp tempura, krab, cheese, fish egg, cucumber) & the Tempa Bay Roll (tempura white fish, cream cheese, cucumber, eel sauce). Both rolls were full of fresh-tasting ingredients & the tempura fried items were cooked perfectly. In addition to the food, we were also very impressed by our server, David. He was on top of everything without being intrusive and incredibly friendly. I heard him conversing with the patron immediately behind us, a regular who happened to comment to him about how great his service always is. So kudos to both Crazy Sushi & David for a great experience!

Great Customer service. He is friends with Green Papaya. I had my salad, two clear soups(sharing)and two sushi rolls for, "to-go" to take back to my room. My friend is coming in town from Naples, Florida for his birthday and mine as well as mine. It's been a while since I have dined here. Looking forward to my next visit. He invited me back and to dine in next visit. The only minus is, I did not get any soy sauce to mix with my wasabi for my sushi. I just used shrimp sauce and wasabi, along with the ginger on top.

I absolutely LOVE this place. Best clear soup and rolls I've had in JAX so far. Conveniently located in our local shopping center. The service was great and the interior is calming. Will keep on coming back for as long as its open.

Yet another great sushi dinner brought to us by trusting Yelp. We've tried (and reviewed) a lot of sushi places in the area. Nothing has really disappointed us but only a few have stood out. Crazy Sushi is a stand out. Like many places in the area, it doesn't look like much from the outside. When you get inside, you see a place that's bigger than you'd expect and a VERY busy take out station. They were pretty packed when we went on a Friday night but we were still sat immediately. Our waitress was on top of things as she took care of us and at least 3 other tables. We order a good variety of stuff between apps and rolls. Everything was as good or better than we were hoping. We're usually in that area on Friday nights and I'm reasonably sure that Crazy Sushi will be our go-to place in the area now.

This restaurant is for anyone and everyone. The menu is FULL of choices for vegetarians and meat lovers alike. The is a full bar and a couple TVs if you want to see a game. The service is excellent and food comes out quickly. It's not fancy but it's good. We ordered a spicy tuna with avacado for appetizer. Hibachi dishes and vegetable rolls. Everything was delicious and we had plenty to take home.

I'll usually filter out restaurants by the average / amount of reviews and this was a top contender. Located inside an unassuming shopping plaza, we backed into a suitable parking spot and finally entered the legendary Sushi Bear. The first thing we instinctually noticed was an odd, chemical smell (hopefully cleaning product / hence the knocked off star) and some of the walls looked to be under renovation and partially covered with incoherent children's scribble, but no big deal. We were promptly sat and immediately served a complimentary holiday roll and clear soups which were both very tasty. Soon after, our order was taken and within minutes was brought to us which we quickly filled up on. The staff were VERY attentive and friendly. The food was excellent and I will 100% be returning here whenever I need another convenient sushi fix. Highly recommended for the area. - Lou Sassle

We started with the edamame, with the sea salt and truffle oil, which is always delicious. The service over the evening was very slow, and we spent a lot of time waiting on food. We sat in our favorite spot at the bar window so our server also appeared the be working behind the bar and was busy making drinks. We love sake and usually get a bottle of the Noble Arrow. We asked for a recommendation and the server recommended the Soul of the Sensei, which is $107 for the bottle. We were celebrating our 24th anniversary so we went for it. He said it was on the dry side, but we found it very unexpectedly sweet, almost like a moskato wine. It wasn't surprising when we read the back of the label and saw the flavor profile was all the way on the fruity side, with notes of Muscat grape. We definitely made a mistake by not tasting it first, so we ended up asking for a bag to take it home and ordered 2 glasses of the Noble Arrow. It was a disappointing start. Next we ordered the yellowtail carpaccio, which was very good, although the size of the fish pieces overall seemed smaller than usual. Everything we ordered over the evening was undeniably tasty, but small. We got the Usuzukuri salmon and when they brought it, they had the tuna carpaccio as well. The person who brought it said it was a gift. Later, we were charged $2 on the bill for the "gift." It's not much, but it's just that giving us a gift and then putting a charge on the bill for it was very strange. Overall, I still love the food at O-Ku, but this was not the best experience. We had gone there previously for our anniversary and they made it feel special. This time there wasn't any kind of recognition besides possibly the "gift" we had to pay extra for. And the service was so slow that we ended up drinking the bottle of sake we didn't like rather than waiting for another drink order. Every place will have its off nights, and this unfortunately seemed to be one of them. I would still recommend going there, because even though the portions are tiny and expensive, the taste is delicious.
