Was walking around and wanted to get a quick dessert. Always pass by it and never had it. It wasn't too crowded, so we got our food pretty quick. Raspberry Sorbet (4.1/5): I really enjoyed the sorbet as it wasn't too icy and had a nice raspberry flavor to it. I think that if it was strawberry flavor in this consistency, I love it very much. I would get it again. I shall return to try more flavor.
Late-night dessert runs in downtown San Jose always hit different at CREAM. The warm cookies with cold ice cream in the middle are the perfect combo, and there are so many flavors and cookie options to mix and match. The ice cream sandwiches are huge, fresh, and definitely worth the mess. Great spot to satisfy a sweet tooth after dinner or a night out downtown.

Got an ice cream sandwich after a Sharks game. Birthday cake flavor was my favorite after trying samples and chose that for my sandwich. Was very tasty! Highly recommend and the staff was very friendly felt like visiting a friend. Would recommend heading over there after a Sharks game. There were a few of us and other groups that went there after the game.
While in downtown San Jose, I decided to stop by here with friends. I sampled the chocoholic, cookie dough, and strawberry cheesecake before I ultimately opted to get a single scoop of strawberry cheesecake in a cup. The chocoholic is very chocolatey. The cookie dough was quite sweet, had almost an artificial-tasting tang to it, which I found a bit off-putting. The strawberry cheesecake was very sweet and reminded me of butter. I did like it overall but generally I prefer my cheesecake to taste more sour and not super sweeet. Overall it was decent and the price was not bad ($4.80 for the single scoop at the time when I went) and the location is convenient to reach by walking or public transit.
Apparently, this is a popular dessert branch in NorCal. They specialize in ice cream and cookies. I think my only issue was that Yelp and Google hours indicated that the shop was open, they had the open sign light on, and then there was a paper sign stating that they were closed and out on break but gave no indication on when they'd be back. We were actually so close to just going to Insomnia Cookies but when we were there, their online cashier system was down. This was already after circling the area a couple times and it was during a con so we needed to get back, but in the nick of time, CREAM re-opened with their singular worker to help customers. I got their mini chocolate chip cookies (2) with a small scoop of their salted caramel ice cream. This was a little over $4 and is a small snack size if you don't wanna down a huge dessert. The ice cream, despite being freshly scooped was already melting quickly. The cookies were a bit "harder" than what I would expect from "freshly baked" cookies. Overall a bit mid, but maybe it was just an off weekend (though big L since it was during Fanime). PS. Idk who is running their official website but you freaking embedded a link to a paper writing service. Not sure if that was on purpose lmao.
We visit Cream every so often, usually in the evening after dinner. It's a rather cramped location, and last night, it seemed 9 of us all had the same idea at the same time, so we all crammed in for a treat. Luckily, they have kiosks allowing you to place your order digitally rather than waiting for your order to be taken. I've only ever encountered 1 person working at a time, and it can get a little busy, but we've never waited too terribly long. The ice cream is great, you get quite a bit for the price, and while the staff is usually very quiet and head down, they are still nice and try their best to work quickly. There is no seating, inside or out, and they are often out of waffle cones, but the brownies, cookies, ice cream and gelato are all worth the trip.
After eating dinner at a city nearby, we decided we wanted some late-night dessert too. We went here on a Saturday around 12:20AM and there was a short wait! This icecream shop is VERY small, so it felt very crowded inside even with their lack of seats. I was looking for something easy to eat, so I got a sundae. For their sundaes, you get to build your own and choose the type of toppings to go with it. We ordered the Cookie Sundae w/ Rocky Road Icecream to share. This icecream was good and I thought it was cool how it contained a bunch of Oreo cookie crumbs and also let me choose my choice of cookie to add on top, which I ended up choosing their Snickerdoodle cookie. I'd recommend this place! I love how much variety they have. They sell other desserts ranging from icecream, cookie icecream sandwiches, sundaes, and icecream tacos too!
This Cream location has really come back! They're offering better quality gelato, which is not the same as ice cream. Plus they give you a generous scoop each time. My favorite combo is the pistachio and giandiuja chocolate. I'll definitely be back soon.
We love cream yes we do, we love cream how about you? The answer to that question is yes. Cream is a staple for us when visiting San Jose and we love the ice cream sandwiches. Not only are their ice cream fantastic but the choices of cookies makes it second to none! They even have options for vegans as well!
Warm cookies and a giant glob of ice cream, sounds enticing right? My inner sweet tooth was beginning to arise and I know the taste of freshly baked cookies with ice cream. The combination of hot and cold is just a match made in heaven. I was excited to give CREAM a shot after hearing so many positive things about it. However, here are the lists of pros and cons that I came up with that led to a grand total of three stars. Pros: -Choices! There are a lot of different kinds of cookies to try such as carnival (m&m), chocolate chip, snicker doodle, turtle and white chocolate! (And more!) Furthermore, there are a lot of ice cream choices to choose from. There are definitely your classics and more unique ones like green tea. -Creamy! Just like the name, the ice cream has great consistency and is perfectly creamy! The matcha green tea cookie was so divine! -Not too sweet! The cookies aren't overly sweet (they're still sweet!) to the point where your stomach begins to cave in. -Fast service! There are plenty of workers there that take orders quickly and make the sandwiches fast. They are also really sweet, patient and willing to let you try flavors. -Yelp deal! What's not to love about Yelp deals?! Spend 5$ and get a free cookie! Each sandwich is 2.99 (as of September 2014) so buying 2 sandwiches will allow you to get the check in deal for sure. Cons: -Underbaked?? The cookies are warm and really gooey. I actually couldn't tell if they were just taken out of the oven and didn't get time to cool and cook through or if it was actually underbaked. I got the chocolate chip cookie and the carnival cookie. In both of the cookies, I could taste the raw cookie dough taste so I was a little unsure. With the yelp deal we got a free snickerdoodle cookie and it definitely tastes underbaked. :( -Inconsistent. My two cookies were warm and gooey when I got my sandwich however my partner's turtle cookies were not warm at all. They were chewy but not warm. I didn't think that was fair since a big part of a good ice cream sandwich is having warm, out of the oven cookies. Furthermore, my portion size of green tea ice cream was giant compared to his mint chocolate chip ice cream. I understand that not every scoop of ice cream can be the same size but this was a significant different. I could barely fit the sandwich in my mouth because the scoop of ice cream was so tall, while my partner's sandwich was much shorter. I didn't think it was very fair that I got more ice cream than he did for the same price. -Parking. There's not much I can complain about here since places located downtown usually have packed street parking! Come in the evening and it's free street parking. Overall, the place still satisfied my sweet tooth craving. However, the cons weighed down the pros and the place didn't completely win me over. read more

I HAVE A DREAM! And that dream's about CREAM! What the sh*t, man. Whoever came up with the idea of just WARMING up the dang cookie for an ice cream sandwich is GENIUS! I love everything peanut butter and their peanut butter cookie is bomb. Love that the cookies are warm, soft, chewy and melts your ice cream ever so slowly. This makes for easy eating and surprisingly not very messy. While the ice cream is just mediocre, the cookies are the winner here. Plus the dirt cheap price of $3 is a bonus as well. Way better than Treatbot's $5 ice cream sandwich made with rock hard cookies. Can't wait to come back! read more

OMG, who doesn't love a thick fat ice cream sandwich with their favorite toppings after a night of drinking in downtown San Jose??! I finally had the opportunity to come here after celebrating my brother's last night before getting married, and we stopped by after leaving 55 South. This seriously was the best treat, and I didn't feel guilty at all eating it, because it was that amazing! I can still imagine the creamy mint chocolate chip ice cream between the two soft double chocolate chip cookies, with m&ms sprinkled on top! OMG, all of my favorite things combined into one. Soooo amazing! I was kinda sad that I had to share with my brothers but I guess it was better that way cuz otherwise I would've devoured the whole thing on my own, and I don't even wanna think about how many calories that would've been... definitely over 1,000 for sure! haha. I LOVE LOVE LOVE ICE CREAM.... and to add fresh baked cookies as a sandwich is brilliant!! We had a similar franchise here in Hawaii but unfortunately it didn't last that long for me to try it. So I was pretty excited to try Cream as I've seen it around IG from my Cali friends and family. We headed to downtown San Jose to stop by and get dessert from Cream. The line steadily moving quick as there were wasn't that many people yet on a thursday night. Being my first time here, I didn't know how to order but there are instructions on the menu to direct you on how to place your order and pick your flavorings. I like that you can literally build your own to your custom liking on all categories. I got two different cookies: white chocolate macadamia nut and chocolate cookie to start along with strawberry cheesecake ice cream and graham crackers to top it off. OMG, it was dessert heaven for me. Maybe because I'm such a dessert lover that I enjoyed every fattening savory bite. All worth the sinfully delicious calories!! We need one in Hawaii! I'd probably get fat just craving for it all the time. It's so hot here now that I'm wishing I could have one now! Cream also offers vegan and gluten free options too for those who are a little health conscious about it. You may also get ice cream cones or sundaes as well if you're not really into the sandwich feel. Ooohh they also have cream taco which I wouldn't mind trying the next time I come. I have to give cream 5 stars for 2 reasons: 1. My bf ate my ice cream sandwich even though he was full. And doesn't like dessert. And had a philz coffee in his other hand. 2. After his first bite, he turned to me and said, "5 stars. For sure." (He thinks inflate my reviews, I think he's harsh...and when you date yelp elite, every meal ends with, "how many stars?", so he's used to me asking.) After a meh experience at milk, I wasn't expecting much here. Dang was I surprised!!! I ordered butter pecan ice cream sandwiches with snicker doodle and white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. Hella good. The ice cream wasn't too sweet, the cookies were soft and the perfect texture..it was just absolutely delicious. plus the service is awesome, they accept credit card, and they're so friendly and patient! Oh, late night post-bar-hopping ice cream run... Where would we be without you, CREAM? (The answer is, probably at La Vics shamelessly stuffing our faces with greasy quesadillas, but that's beside the point.) Open until 2am on most nights, and always with a long line in front. At first you'll think OK... What's all this hype about... Is it worth standing in line in the cold at night? Personally, I'm turned off by the line but we happened to catch a window of opportunity around 1am when it miraculously disappeared. Score! I am a CREAM convert as of last night when I ordered my turtle cookie with cookies and cream ice cream. It was delightful. The guy behind the counter offered me a half size (only $1.99!) sandwich when he heard me debating whether or not I could finish a whole one on my own. Their cookies are soft in the middle and crunchy on the outside so you get a little bit of both worlds, and there are SO many options for flavors! Their ice cream list is like poetry, with at least a dozen flavors listed on the tv menu above. Service is friendly, funny, and fast! Go in, ask about your options, get your little sandwich made (or not so little since a whole sandwich could easily treat two people), dance a little bit to their throwback hip hop music, pay and then enjoy on the go! I'll be swinging by in the daytime when it's warmer weather for sure. And possibly for more late night ice cream as well because why not. read more

So for the past 2 days I have been debating whether or not I should go to Cream and get my dose of artificial sugar. On one hand...ice cream cookie sandwich...yummmm. On the other hand....empty calories...boooo. Well after having the absolute worst dinner of my life, I was so pissed. I pretty much decided then and there that I was treating myself to an ice cream cookie sandwich. I needed something to make myself feel better after the horrendous excuse for a quesadilla I choked down for dinner. $2.50 for an ice cream cookie sandwich if you pay with cash. $2.99 if you pay with card. $0.75 per topping. Cream is easy to spot but it is a very small store. It smells so good in there, like fresh baked cookies and sugar that makes you happy. The line was out the door when I came but it moves quickly and keep in mind this is a small place so only 5 people or so can really fit in the place. It is very similar to Diddy Reese in Westwood, but it is pricier because the cookies are bigger. I got the pistachio ice cream and the chocolate chip cookie and the carnival cookie which is an m&m cookie. Cookies were good and the ice cream was not overwhelmingly sweet. After having some lack luster BBQ, my friend suggested CREAM. I've been wanting to try this place for a while, however, I wasn't breaking my neck to grab a ice cream sandwich. As I dodged the onslaught of homeless, tweekers and skaleewags on 1st St., I reached my destination. Walked in and was surprised at the minimal flavors of ice cream available. From what I've heard, "CREAM has hella flavors to choose from". NAWT! I got the lemon(Imma lemon freak) cookies with the caramel swirl ice cream. Here's where it gets puzzling. Why would you put a scoop of ice cream between two warm cookies? The ice cream was half way mushed out from between the cookies before I could side step the babbling "Roxanne" standing on the light rail tracks. Needless to say, most of the ice cream was in the little baggy that the sandwich comes in, before I got back to my car which was less than 100yrds away. HORRIBLE... This place is new to the area so there's a lot of traffic. We went on a rainy Sunday and there was still a line of people standing outside waiting to order. I had the green tea ice cream with chocolate chip cookies and whip cream and it was pretty good. You can build whatever type of ice cream cookie sandwich or waffle taco type ice cream sandwich or put it all in a cup. It was a little annoying as the cool kid workers are rapping/singing and dancing while there's a line out the door. Seems like it would move faster without the silliness. read more

I'm not a big ice cream fan, but I enjoyed my little sandwich here. The girl working there was very helpful with choosing a flavor to pair with your cookie. I ordered butter pecan ice cream with two snickerdoodle cookies. The cookies were moist and soft. The ice cream was creamy and not too sweet. I can see why everyone seems to love the place, but for me.. I tried it, I enjoyed it, but I don't think I'll come back. Maybe i'll get a craving for it when it's a summery day, but for now I can now cross it off my bucket list. read more

Dear Cream, I love you. I know it might sound crazy to love you so much but I do. You are perfect. The way your cookies are so soft and yet hard enough to hold the ice cream. The deliciousness of your ice cream and how if fits perfectly in my cookie. And the fact that you are only 2.50. I cry when I look at your lines and more when I realize I have to park far away to get to you, but I do it. It also hurts to have a long distance relationship with you, but I will drive to SJ for you. And maybe pick up la Vic's too. You were there when I needed you the most. 12am, after drinking too much at the neighboring establishments. I think I was expecting this crazy heavenly experience based on all my friends constant posts about CREAM, All the IG posts, snapchats, blah blah blah... So going in I had high expectations. So thanks to everyone for ruining that for me! :P First I expected some Cold Stone looking atmosphere. This place was more like a hole in the wall (which is totally fine),the cookies looked like something I could get in the $5 box at Safeway. It tasted good. I guess I was just expecting more. Too much Hype around this place. Customer service was very good. Everyone was very nice and friendly and on point. Ice cream was decent enough. I wouldn't make the drive to San Jose from Gilroy just for this place again though. read more

The lines here are always retarded. We waited until midnight before going over and it was way more manageable then. We could also sit outside and watch the freakshow that is downtown San Jose on a Fri. Pistachio was just ok but the green tea is good. Otherwise Im not sure it warrants the wait read more
Line was out the door but it was moving fast. I notice pricing has gone up a little and theres more options when it just used to be ice cream sandwiches and just cookies. You can get scoops of ice cream and milkshakes now. To me sort of ruins the point of CREAM. However I guess it gives other patrons who want other options. The employees here are nice and fast. The ice cream sandwich is good, but to me two cookies are too many. I suggest you should get a cup with one cookie instead. Nothing special about this place in my opinion. I got the rocky road cookie with pistachio ice cream with almond. I think the cookies were overwhelming and masked the flavor of ice cream. That's why I suggested only one cookie in a cup instead. What's bad to say about ice cream and freshly baked cookies? Although I don't remember my experience in detail, as we came after we left the bar, I do remember loving my sandwich! The line can get pretty long, and that was discouraging. I would suggest coming earlier rather than later. However, it didn't take more than 10-15 minutes from the time we joined the line until we were eating our cookie ice cream! You can choose between many different flavors of ice cream and different freshly baked cookies to make a sandwich. We will definitely be back to try different combinations. The only thing that was a little bit of an issue for me was since it was my first time, I didn't know what kind of ice cream or cookies they had. By the time I got close enough to see, I had to place my order. With a line outside the door, they definitely want you in and out as quickly as possible, so I felt a little rushed. It would be nice if they had a menu outside on nights that get crowded, so people like me could make a decision quicker. read more
I was really weirded out by this location... this was the third CREAM I've been to, and I'd say it was the most poorly designed. Its super tiny. The staff kinda sucks because they move slowly and they don't want to help a whole party--they want to help individuals. Which is fine, except when I'm trying to pay for myself and our group of friends. And they don't have the check-in special (spend $5 and get a free cookie). AND their cookies aren't always warm. They're still a-ok though because let's be real, CREAM cookie ice cream sandwich is hella better than any other cookie ice cream sandwich. read more

I really enjoyed going to Cream. I had never heard of it until my sister told me to go try it out, since she had already gone with her friends. So I decided to give it a try. It was extremely difficult to find parking, Specially because it's DTSJ. When we got there the line was huge! That's one downside of being in a small location. When it was our turn to order the employees were very nice and they looked like they enjoyed being there. They were patient with what u were trying to order. Overall, I really like this place!
