Got an ice cream sandwich after a Sharks game. Birthday cake flavor was my favorite after trying samples and chose that for my sandwich. Was very tasty! Highly recommend and the staff was very friendly felt like visiting a friend. Would recommend heading over there after a Sharks game. While in downtown San Jose, I decided to stop by here with friends. I sampled the chocoholic, cookie dough, and strawberry cheesecake before I ultimately opted to get a single scoop of strawberry cheesecake in a cup. The chocoholic is very chocolatey. The cookie dough was quite sweet, had almost an artificial-tasting tang to it, which I found a bit off-putting. The strawberry cheesecake was very sweet and reminded me of butter. I did like it overall but generally I prefer my cheesecake to taste more sour and not super sweeet. Overall it was decent and the price was not bad ($4.80 for the single scoop at the time when I went) and the location is convenient to reach by walking or public transit.

We visit Cream every so often, usually in the evening after dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a rather cramped location, and last night, it seemed 9 of us all had the same idea at the same time, so we all crammed in for a treat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Luckily, they have kiosks allowing you to place your order digitally rather than waiting for your order to be taken. I've only ever encountered 1 person working at a time, and it can get a little busy, but we've never waited too terribly long. The ice cream is great, you get quite a bit for the price, and while the staff is usually very quiet and head down, they are still nice and try their best to work quickly. Apparently, this is a popular dessert branch in NorCal. They specialize in ice cream and cookies. I think my only issue was that Yelp and Google hours indicated that the shop was open, they had the open sign light on, and then there was a paper sign stating that they were closed and out on break but gave no indication on when they'd be back. We were actually so close to just going to Insomnia Cookies but when we were there, their online cashier system was down. This was already after circling the area a couple times and it was during a con so we needed to get back, but in the nick of time, CREAM re-opened with their singular worker to help customers. I got their mini chocolate chip cookies (2) with a small scoop of their salted caramel ice cream. This was a little over $4 and is a small snack size if you don't wanna down a huge dessert. The ice cream, despite being freshly scooped was already melting quickly. The cookies were a bit "harder" than what I would expect from "freshly baked" cookies. Overall a bit mid, but maybe it was just an off weekend (though big L since it was during Fanime). PS. Idk who is running their official website but you freaking embedded a link to a paper writing service. Not sure if that was on purpose lmao.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This icecream shop is VERY small, so it felt very crowded inside even with their lack of seats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was looking for something easy to eat, so I got a sundae. For their sundaes, you get to build your own and choose the type of toppings to go with it. We ordered the Cookie Sundae w/ Rocky Road Icecream to share. This icecream was good and I thought it was cool how it contained a bunch of Oreo cookie crumbs and also let me choose my choice of cookie to add on top, which I ended up choosing their Snickerdoodle cookie. I'd recommend this place! I love how much variety they have. They sell other desserts ranging from icecream, cookie icecream sandwiches, sundaes, and icecream tacos too!

This Cream location has really come back! They're offering better quality gelato, which is not the same as ice cream. Plus they give you a generous scoop each time. My favorite combo is the pistachio and giandiuja chocolate. I'll definitely be back soon.

We love cream yes we do, we love cream how about you? The answer to that question is yes. Cream is a staple for us when visiting San Jose and we love the ice cream sandwiches. Not only are their ice cream fantastic but the choices of cookies makes it second to none! They even have options for vegans as well!

We were craving cookies on a Sunday night, and initally stopped by Insomnia nearby, but they were closed for some emergency type of situation. So we ended up walking across the street to CREAM, knowing that they sell more than just ice cream here. Don't get me wrong, I love ice cream and I've had a nice helping of chocolate ON chocolate WITH chocolate here in the past (with their ice cream and cookie combinations), but I didn't realize how good their cookies alone were. We got the double chocolate, peanut butter, and chocolate chip cookies, and they were served fresh and hot out the oven (at 9:45pm!!). The cookies were fantastic, full of flavor and melted chocolate, soft and delicious... No, CREAM did not have an extensive menu of unique cookie options like their competitors across the street, and yes they were very small and thin cookies, but they tasted phenomenal, and were cheap enough that I can't really complain. CREAM is just a small space without seating, except a single table with two seats outside. But if you're willing to stand or take your goodies home, it's a great option to have for sweet treats in downtown SJ, and they're open late so that's a plus. Also, there is usually not too long of a wait whenever I visit, and the workers have always provided efficient and friendly service. As a reminder, parking is almost non-existent downtown (unless you get lucky), so be prepared to walk a few blocks.

Was walking around and wanted to get a quick dessert. Always pass by it and never had it. The shop was closed during what were there open hours, but we happened to return to the area when an employee reopened the shop around 45 minutes later. Most of the cookies were unavailable and required making verbal substitutions after ordering at the kiosk. This might have been due to the store just reopening after their break. The cookies we got were very hard and were not warm unlike the other times I've been to this location. The cookies and cream ice cream was still good, but a bit too sweet. Late-night dessert runs in downtown San Jose always hit different at CREAM. The warm cookies with cold ice cream in the middle are the perfect combo, and there are so many flavors and cookie options to mix and match. i used to go to cream during peak life in 2018 non-stop. the cookies were amazing, soft, perfectly raw and cooked at the same time. even the ice cream was stellar. i recently went to cream for the first time in about 7 years and i couldn't be more disappointed. the anti-social kiosks that are now in the store were a bit off-putting. the ice cream didn't look as juicy as it used to be. the first thing that really upset me was when i noticed they no longer had the funfetti cookies. the man working the store said that those cookies would get stale fast so they stopped making them. i ordered 1/2 dozen cookies thinking they would be just like the old days and, to my great disappointment, they were hard and dry. this is actually so sad. unfortunately, i can't say i'll be coming back to cream. we had a great run though, i miss my doughy funfetti cookies. read more

Subpar at best, we had dorien as our service provider and it was by far the slowest and most "scale" provided service. I've never been to an ice cream/"gelato" shop that actually measured how much ice cream they gave us past the normal scoop of cream. The ice cream and gelato itself was just subpar for the supposed "ice cream" of downtown San Jose. The concept is there, but the rest is hit and miss. The service was slow. A friend got macadamia nut cookies with ice cream, which was good, but the brownie version is NOT worth it. I'll save my calories for something better next time. read more

I came in on a late weekday night and ordered an ice cream sandwich with white chocolate macadamia nut cookies and coffee ice cream. It wasn't bad, but I didn't find the ice cream or cookie to be anything special. I appreciated how you could choose from different cookie and ice cream flavors to create your own sandwich. Unfortunately, the cookies were hard and did not seem fresh. When biting into the sandwich the ice cream would fall out of the other end. I typically like softer cookies with ice cream sandwiches to prevent this from happening. The ice cream just tasted like any other store bought coffee ice cream. The place is small so it can feel crowded with just three people inside. Service was quick and worker was nice though! I like how it's open late, so it's a good place to stop by if you're craving a late night sweet treat. read more

Great bang for your buck ice cream! I really thought this place would have "artisan" ice cream pricing aka expensive ice cream, but it was a decent price for a double scoop of ice cream AAAND the scoops were large! The employees were nice and welcoming. They even offered us free waffle cone topping to our ice cream free of charge because they had too much lol it was a nice suprise. If I were in the area again, I'd be down to come here again. read more

This is for the ice cream sandwich catering. Wow. What a WONDERFUL treat! My husband and I decided to choose CREAM as our late night snack for our wedding because ice cream is my favorite dessert. Until the day of our wedding, we communicated with CREAM about what we'd want. They gave us 3 flavors of cookies and ice cream to choose from and toppings. We ended up choosing the chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream, sugar cookie with strawberry ice cream and the snickerdoodle cookie with caramel ice cream. They delivered our ice cream sandwiches to the wedding early and EVERYONE loved them! It was the hit of the night. A bunch of people mentioned how awesome that idea was. Get a cookie sandwich from Cream! They're open until midnight during the week and 2 am on the weekend, so it's the perfect spot for a late night treat. I got a Snickerdoodle and Creamfetti (sugar cookie with sprinkles) sandwich, with Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream, and sprinkles as the topping. They warm up the cookies, which I really appreciate since it makes them soft and easy to chew. Each bite of this treat was so sweet and delicious. We tried the chocolate ice cream and the mint chocolate chip they make. It was delicious dark chocolate. Mint was very good as well, with nice dark chocolate chunks. We didn't bother trying the cookies or brownies because they didn't look very fresh when we went. The five stars is for the Peanut Butter cookie. Each successful cookie store has at least one cookie which rises to legendary status: - At NOX Cookies it is the chocolate chip. - At Insomnia Cookies it is the vegan cookies. - At Cream it is the peanut butter cookie. We plan on going to this place right after my daughters graduation, but it got late. We did go and we got there at about 9:30 PM and we had about 12 people celebrating with us. The two gals who were working there, (I didn't get their names) were amazing! They worked diligently and got our food to us in a timely manner and were very pleasant. Great customer service ladies! We ordered shakes, ice cream sandwiches, ice cream in a cup, but I was unable to get pictures because we gobbled it up so quickly! But, I will next time I go and there will be a next time. They have a great cookie selection and ice cream selection for a premium ice cream sandwich. I think I'll try the hot fudge sundae next time though. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there is no seating available inside or outside. If the owner or manager is reading this, it was Thursday evening on May 24. So glad they are in downtown. Perfect when I have a sweet tooth. They have great varieties of ice cream flavors, chocolate mint, green tea, cookies and cream, rock road, soy mint the list goes on! You have options for ice cream sandwich. Cookies selections are red velvet, chocolate chips, sugar cookie and a few more selections... Can't think of it on top of my head. Having a brain freeze over my yummy cookies and cream with warm red velvet cookies. It's absolutely heaven and yummy for the tummy. Did I mention many toppings to pick from too, gummy bears, sprinkles, chocolate chips, cookies... Name it they got it. The hardest part for me is to figure out whAt mood I'm in and what I want in my ice cream sandwich. Summertime can get busy but staff is pretty efficient. They have about 2 staff in the ice cream section and a person at the register. Don't forget to get a stamp card, it comes in handy. read more

I usually come every weekend after having drinks with friends and honestly, it's the best way to end our nights. I order double chocolate chip with banana ice cream and some hot fudge on top of my sandwich. I'm always happy to go here because the two ladies that always work on Fridays are the best! Always have nice music and great customer service (Jap and Naely) I think that's their names. BUT the reason that I give this cream location 4 stars instead of 5 is because they NEVER have churros or waffle base and I understand this isn't the workers fault, but I notice a lot of the time items are out of stock and the workers get shit for it. Everything else is great, but either remove those items from the menu or stock them up cream!! read more

The line is long but moves very quickly. Quick to order, quick to make sandwiches, quick to pay. I came at 10pm on a Sunday night. The cookies start off warm but cool very quickly, melting the ice cream in the process. My lips and all 10 fingers were not spared from the sticky mess. Then again, I am a voracious eater. Good, cold, super sweet bite for relatively cheap, though for the money, I would opt for boba or other sweet treat. I like cookies and ice cream separately, but the combination of the two just creates such a mess that I am incapable of controlling. Furthermore, for the ice cream and cookie flavors I've tried, nothing really stood out to me as "amazing, 10 out of 10 would do again". read more

When it comes to the ice cream and cookies here I can't complain. The cookies are warm the ice cream is yummy. Taste is perfect! BUTTT for the first time on Sunday (July 11) me and my boyfriend came here around 5:15ish after lunch.There was a girl working there who was extremely unprofessional. She was unorganized, out of it, and rude. Most of the ice cream looked melted. The shop was very messy and surprisingly it was a bad experience. I got a scoop of cookies and cream and it was basically melted ice cream. The cookie I got was the only good thing I could enjoy. Unfortunately I might have to try a different location from now on because this location has really changed. read more

I've never been to a C.R.E.A.M. establishment but I've heard they are the rave. The line moved quickly, which I liked. This location is small and there is no place to sit inside or outside which was annoying because I wanted to share a few minutes with my 3 year old son over ice cream. He ordered a scoop with marshmallows and I ordered an ice cream sandwich. The sandwich was great...fresh warm cookies with ice cream. When I tasted his scoop...the ice cream was more icy than creamy and not rich like Cold Stone or Ben and Jerry's. I wouldn't go here for single scoop ice cream...BUT the sandwiches are great and I look forward to trying more of the combos out. read more

Nice location. AMAZING customer service. I don't usually go on Yelp to rate places, but I'm addicted to CREAM!!!! I love the employees who are dancing and singing. Brings enjoyment to this place! The workers were patient when my friend took forever to order. Cookies are the best! Warm and melts in your mouth. The cashier was very nice and was the person that helped me choose my combo of snicker doodle cookies and salted caramel ice cream. I really enjoyed it and looking forward to coming back with my family! read more

Great ice cream and the cookies are amazing and fresh. Perfect when you add toppings! The employees were very kind and I appreciated their service. Best location out of the others. In the heart of the beautiful San Jose. The music is my jam and I would love to come at night some time and party with my ice cream sandwich! I think the owner has made this place as great as possible. They did all I can ask for. I recommend this place to anyone that's down for some dessert and music :D read more

One of us got a brownie ice cream sandwich and the other got a donut ice cream sandwich. I personally got a scoop of ice cream and it was delicious. They have lots of good options. The space is small and has a few seating but it's a good spot nonetheless! Highly recommended. read more

I really don't have much to say beyond, an icecream sandwich is a great invention and the cookies here tasted great with my choice of ice cream. I actually don't remember if the cookies were slightly heated prior to delivery but whatever it was , the sandwich did not last long as I scarfed it down quick Price was fine , pretty average for a dessert place that's not a fast food chain. read more

The store was clean and neat, and the line moved super fast! The service was friendly and I loved being able to taste test before actually buying the ice-cream. I went on a Sunday, when it seemed pretty empty so I didn't have a long wait. I ordered a salted caramel + chocolate chip cookie with chopped almonds. I thought it was great, and would definitely reccommend it to my friends! read more

Finally was able to make it down to CREAM! I love love their ice cream! I wanted to try their ice cream sandwiches and my goodness they are to die for! It's ok. not that of a great taste. I remember back in the days it tasted amazing. Now it does not have the same taste. I wish they can work on helping their employees to make the cream cookies the same way they were made fresh and tasty in their first location way back. read more

This place is more hype amongst teens than anything else. I've braved the constant long line a couple times now because my friends really like it. I've tried different ice cream and cookie flavors and I've yet to find one I go crazy for. Pretty ordinary ice cream shop. read more

Hi I'm here outside your door at 2:30pm on a Friday when you're supposed to be open at 1pm. Ran into a delivery guy who said you're always late and that's why he has his own key. 1.5 hrs is not really "running late". Just wondering when you're actually open read more

i love my desserts. my two favorites: chocolate chip cookies and ice cream. combine them and you get amazing sugar rush. just pick whatever your fav cookie is and your fav ice cream flavor; they'll have it. smash them together and leave happy. read more
