Uh, one of everything please. Ha. Their seasonal strawberry ice cream they have right now may be the best strawberry ice cream I've ever had! I decided to go for a single scoop of the strawberry. They offered cookies on the side but I opted for a cone. Loved it!!! I also added rainbow sprinkles for some extra happiness and it was a perfect hot day combo! I've had the CREAM in Berkeley, and I gotta say, that one's better and less expensive. I was sad because I haven't had CREAM for a while and I came to this one expecting goodness. I got my usual: chocolate chip cookie and turtle cookie with cup of joe ice cream. The cookies were good but they were a bit harder and thinner than usual, and the turtle cookie had a lot of nuts. The ice cream was pretty good though, pretty normal. This location's also more expensive! The sandwich is $3 as opposed to $2 in Berkeley, boo. My friends and I sat outside for a while, and this place was never empty. That's pretty impressive! They move pretty quickly too, so it's not like there was always people because they were slow. This is a ice cream sandwhich place right in downtown san jose. Parking is street only, but there are surface lot's of various pricing levels ranging form eh, that's not bad to Oh My God scattered around. Street parking is usually do-able assuming you are only here for a little while and this spot is on the main public transit lines-so there is plenty of bus and light rail stops right close by. This is a small spot only slightly larger then a walk up kiosk. There is limited outdoor seating of the metal patio style offering an indifferent street view, but no inside seating. The menu choices are ice cream and cookie specific. They do basic two scoop sundae things and it's possible to do a cookie or an ice cream solo-that is to say without combining them. Separately they are not quite as good however. The flavors while extensive just don't seem all that. The ice cream lacks the powerful flavor that you would expect of a small local creamery. It's very much along the lines of what you can buy at safeway/costco/wherever. The service is pretty solid. The folks working at the counter were tolerant of our confused customization and indecisiveness on a late afternoon weekday and came up with some surprisingly effective solutions/pairings. We were in and out in no time. The scoops are large-one is more then enough for any given ice cream situation and considering the location the pricing wasn't all that high. So while it's not bad at filling a ice creamy sweet craving in my opinion it's not raving good either.
