Yay! I'm a fan of Creative Cakery cakes. My favorite is the lemon, its has tons of lemon flavor and sweetness, and great texture. My husband ordered the bar bites platter for a small outdoor birthday gathering for me -- and we all raved. Delicious! I didn't know there were more options beyond the Bundt cakes and mini Bundts. I have been a long time customer and have enjoyed Creative Cakery for many years. I've used them for celebrations big and small and even used to go in about once a month to get my Mom one of there coffee cakes just because she loved them so much. The reason for my review and the 5 stars is because yes, they are delicious cakes and decorated so very festively but also for the care and detail they have for their customers. I had a problem with an online order that I placed that needed to be shipped out of state. I sent one email and EVERYTHING was handled immediately and with great care. Absolutely delicious!! Purchased the sampler to take to my husbands employees, bring a little cheer during COVID. Showed up a little after opening and ordering was easy. I waited in my car less then 10 minutes and they brought it out, beautifully packaged. Everyone LOVED the cake. The sampler includes 2 slices of each flavor, which was perfect for the office. No question about it, they have delicious cakes with great decorations BUT their new location is a HUGE negative in my opinion. That little strip mall has very limited parking. There are 2-3 eateries in there, a coffee parlour and a brewery. I went by yesterday to order a cake and there was zero parking in the lot (front & back) and three of us looking for parking. So, I called and placed my order. The young girl on the phone was very pleasant and when I mentioned the difficulty parking she said I could park in the structure across the street (Clark) or around the corner in the neighborhood. I'm sorry but that's not convenient just to pick up a cake!! I'll get my cakes elsewhere. read more

Had a crazy sweet craving this morning and saw online this place had a few gluten free options. I tried the carrot cake, chocolate cake, lemon bar, and brownie. The were all DELICIOUS and fresh. I would totally come again and recommend for anyone who can't eat gluten. The reason why I'm giving a 4 star is because of the plastic packaging. I try to be eco friendly but every item had its own individual plastic container. I'm not sure if this is a temporary thing because of covid but I did feel guilty about it. Good to know they are trying to keep costumers safe. You also can't go in, you order and pay at the door. This last part is unrelated but the parking is kind of hard to get in and out of. A large portion of their original parking lot (I'm assuming) is being used for outdoor dining. You have to enter and exit from different sides and once you enter you can't go back out the way you came, you have to drive around the back of the buildings which is a bit of a tight squeeze. read more

Went for the first time on June 9th 2022 . Tried the just for you size in a carrot cake and a red velvet. Was not happy with neither. The carrot cake had nuts in it and way to much to sweet frosting. The red velvet cake tasted like it was stale, horribly dry and again way to much frosting. The cakes are in a little refrigerator so who know how long they been sitting in there. Definitely not baked the same day or fresh. Way over priced versus the competitor. Sorry won't be back. read more

CC is a bundt cake specialty shop. Don't come here expecting to see sheet cakes or pound cakes or tower cakes -- nope. Bundts galore! The neat difference between, lets say, the usual cake shop and Creative Cakery is the bundt cake. AND that they put so much effort into the creative process that it turns a plain ol bundt into a cheerful and artistic display. Ribbons and hand made crafts adorn the cake -- you can custom make it anyway you want it. I ordered a Batman cake and they hooked it up really nicely. Blue ribbons, Gotham City backdrop, an entire Batman face mask placed over the cake and the Batman Signal displayed "Happy Birthday! " I also got crime scene tape with Batman logos. It was an instant hit at the party. I must deduct one star only because the lady who helped us was extremely insecure. I don't know if it was some sort of reverse psychology thing -- but boy, did she bum me out. She was so concerned with me liking the cake, that she kept repeating "You don't like it. I Know it!!! We can tear it apart and start over. You don't have to pay for it if you don't like it. I can make another one." I mean, this entire rant came on without warning. I tend to have a look that people take seriously -- but caaamon! It's a friggin BUNDT cake! If anything, my ass was thrilled to eat some chocolate cake! So either this lady had some severe self esteem issues or she was trying to gain flattery and compliments. It's like people who say "I am so fat and ugly!!" Expecting to hear "No you're not! The chocolate cake here is AWESOME annnd andd andddddddddddd...normally I'm not too fond of frosting, but this frosting is the absolute perfect match to this cake. Extra creamy and not too sweet. After a nice dinner with my lady we were craving some coffee bean. We always noticed creative cakery next door, but we always arrived after they were close. We arrived around 6:45pm. Just in time to stop by and try out some free samples. The owner was so sweet. She offered many different flavor samples of there cupcakes. All were so moist and not overly sweetened.My favorites were the red velvet, and carrot cake. My partner really enjoyed the banana and lemon poppy seed cupcake. We ended up purchasing 4 cupcakes. A lemon bundt cake from Creative Cakery was all my mom wanted for her birthday. She was very specific. I made a call to the store to put in an order. The lady that answered was super friendly and walked me through the cake ordering process. She asked not only what date I needed the cake & what time I was picking it up but also how soon after pick up the cake would be consumed. That way they know if they need to take the cake out of the freezer and start defrosting it before you pick up. I was picking up three hours before the party which was more than enough time for the cake to defrost. When I went to pick up the cake I got a free sample as they grabbed my cake. I got to see how amazing it looked. They had added a bunch of purple ribbon to the top, a card with a personalized Happy bday message and a candle (on the side of the box were some matches which I thought was a nice touch!). The lemon cake was absolutely delicious; everyone at the party LOVED the cake. I think my next bday cake may be coming from here too. ;) Oh, they also sell other things other than just bundt cakes. They had cookies, bars and several items for those with different food allergies. Check in on YELP and get a discount on a specific item. They have a few cake displayed and a booklet with all the different themes/decorations, they have everything from birthdays,graduations, mother's day, father's day, Thank you's and etc.... I have ordered their cakes for years, its always been a great cake and delivered on time....I've had these babies shipped to NorCal, the mountains in Colorado, and the Detroit of the Delta (Memphis)...not one single problem. These cakes ship really well and come out of the box perfectly. My fav is poppyseed with cream cheese frosting. They make it super easy to order and the people couldn't be more friendly. I am in love with the lady at the counter. Sweetest lady ever, I wanted to take her home. Their customer service is on point, My bf decided to take the last 2 samples, 2 for him, none for me, of course.. So the lady came back saw the empty tray and asked if we had any, she then asked us to pick a cake of our choice to sample. Sweetness! Of course by then, my bf felt guilty, so we refused. We picked up some coffee cake and vanilla, they were both awesome. The vanilla has slivered almonds, yum! :) She also warmed up our coffee cake, nice touch. I love stopping by Creative Cakery on my way to Trader Joe's to get a sample of one of their delicious cakes. The only thing is that I SWEAR their samples are better than their actual bundt cakes. No, I'm not kidding - I even asked them if I could buy a sheet of their sample cakes and they thought I was crazy.
