Chocolate pumpkin muffin was very good.
    Craig W.

This breakfasty/lunchy cafe is located directly next to the not-so-great Courtyard in Midtown. It is much larger than it seems from the outside and there is plenty of seating inside. The coffee drinks were delicious. The chocolate pumpkin muffin was fresh and delightful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was very impressed with this place. If they had beds, I would stay here instead of the drab Courtyard next door.

    Salmon Bowl

Stopped here for a quick bite and was able to enjoy a great meal. I had the salmon bowl, which came with arugula lettuce, shredded carrots, edamame, cherry tomatoes, avocado, rice, and salmon. The plate presentation was very nice and colorful. The salmon was cooked well and tasted very good. The tasty tartar sauce that's added to this dish complements the salmon. The place also serves breakfast all day.

Crema Gourmet is located next to our hotel in midtown. After we unpacked it was time for a quick lunch before our initial NYC walkabout. At Crema, you order at the counter, and they bring your food to the table if your dining in. The ambiance is pleasant, and the food is served on nice plates, to provide a more upscale experience. We ordered: * Two Eggs Scrambled: $10.99 * Caesar Chicken Salad: $17.99 Total: $31.55 The eggs were cooked nicely, your basic scramble. The salad was good, properly dressed with a nice Caesar dressing, and nicely chopped for easing consumption. But the chicken which was served warm, was very dry. Service was prompt. I'd be happy to return when in need of a quick meal.

    Pancake Breakfast

I ordered the Pancake Breakfast, which is your standard pancakes, bacon, and eggs, but they did it so well! The scrambled eggs were fluffy and moist, the bacon was thin and crispy, and the pancakes had the perfect texture and flavor. It didn't look like a large portion, but I actually couldn't even finish it! The food was great, and I would've went back every day of my trip to New York if I could've! The building was a good size with ample seating available on a late-Monday morning. It is partially self-service in that you order at a counter, pick a table, and they bring your food to your table.

This is a surprisingly relaxing casual spacious place in Midtown for a weekend lunch or coffee. The tables and seating are comfortable and clean. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive-- you order at the counter and take a number to put on your table. It was not super crowded when we went on a Saturday afternoon, which was nice since you could have a conversation. The salad called Greens and Chicken was a good portion and fresh, with a creamy avocado and sliced chicken breast and a honey vinaigrette dressing. The food is solid and straightforward, and they offer breakfast all day which is a bonus. For this area of Midtown near Grand Central, it had an unusually relaxing and unrushed vibe, which I really appreciated. I would come back here for a quick bite or coffee again. I'm not sure if it gets more crowded during the work weekdays, but on a weekend it was relaxing, which was a relief in a touristy area. It also had really good AC running, making it cool for a hot summer day.

Stopped in for a quick coffee -- because what else does one do in New York? I grabbed an iced vanilla latte and a chocolate croissant, while others in my group went for matcha and avocado toast. Everyone was happy with their picks! And honestly, this might be the first time I've had a chocolate croissant that felt like too much chocolate -- and it still totally worked. No complaints. It's a cozy little spot, perfect for a quick break like we had, or even to bring a laptop and get some work done. Super cute and worth a visit!

Had a great experience at Crema! The restaurant is beautiful inside. Very spacious and clean with cute decor. The service was great and the food came out quickly. I enjoyed everything that I ordered! The breakfast sandwich was perfectly filling and the latte was delicious.

Came here this morning for breakfast. The place looks tiny from the outside but is larger once you walk in. The staff were so friendly and even gave some attention to our little one. We ordered the breakfast croissant sandwich and a pancake. The food was delicious!! We ordered a Hazelnut and Caramel Iced Coffees. They were good but our table was wobbly. Every time I moved, I almost spilt my drink hahah but it was no biggie. 5/5 stars!

The food, service and atmosphere were all fantastic. First off, the staff was so friendly. It almost felt like we weren't even in New York (ha ha). The menu has lots of great options for brunch, including smoothies. Everything was delicious and the prices were affordable. Definitely would return.

Living and working in both South Florida and NYC it's always a bonus when you find Coffee Cafe spot that delivers wherever you are. Most recent stay in NYC was happy to find the Miami transport, Crema Gourmet Espresso Bar location here and that it continues to live up to its stellar reputation. Entrance is in a corner next to a Courtyard Marriott, which seems small from the outside until you enter into an expansive dining room with comfortable seats and tables. All Staff I encountered were professional and friendly which always makes for a pleasant visit, along with a top notch breakfast/lunch menu. The avocado toast rates a 5-star on the menu along with great coffee that has become a go-to staple whenever I visit. Prices a reasonable given continued nagging inflation and this being NYC. It's a very chill environment which makes for a great place to meet friends or family or to jump online to get work done. Solid WiFi. Shout out to store manager, Jeanita Hennry who runs a topnotch establishment and delivers service with a smile. Crema Gourmet is a welcome addition to the NYC Coffee Cafe scene. Just hoping too many people don't find out about this neighborhood gem too soon!

Cool menu - there are many breakfast options like sandwiches, eggs and bowls. Greek yogurt and fruits, pastries are also available in the menu. Portions are big and everything is very tasty! All dishes are made from fresh ingredients and btw you can customize them for your choice. Very cozy French infused interior, nice music on the surroundings. There are many seating places. Wi-fi for guests is available. Staff is smiley and helpful.

If you're in need of a solid meal while you're in the area, and don't want anything too fancy, I highly recommend this spot! it's tucked between two tall buildings, but there's plenty of seating inside. I got a classic breakfast sandwich and it was quite good!

Food was nice and fresh. We paid for extra eggs but it didn't seem like we got extra. Pancakes were very dense and filling for sure. Order took a little on the long side, but we didn't mind waiting and drinking coffee. Plenty of seating, atmosphere was very nice.

There are a few locations, but I decided to visit this one because it was the most convenient for getting to and from home. I got there around 7:00 PM, which felt a little close to closing time since Google said they close at 9:00 PM, but it wasn't busy at all. In fact, I was only the third customer to place an order. I ordered the La Summer sandwich and added pesto. After sitting down and taking my first bite, I immediately understood the hype. Without a doubt, this is one of the best sandwiches I've had in a very long time. I'm not even a huge sandwich person when it comes to subs and deli meats, but everything tasted incredibly fresh. The ingredients paired together perfectly, and you could still taste each one individually. The only thing I'd change next time is the meat. I had no idea prosciutto was a type of ham, but honestly, it didn't even taste like ham to me. It was sliced paper-thin, slightly salty, and worked surprisingly well with everything else. Next time, though, I'll probably add salami just to see how it compares. Overall, this sandwich was a solid 10/10, and I will absolutely be back--whether it's to try a different sandwich or, if we're being honest, order the exact same one again with salami added. I will say it's on the expensive side, but that's New York City for you. Apparently, all of the ingredients are flown in from Italy. After tax and tip, I paid a whopping $28 for a single sandwich. That said, it was incredibly filling and definitely kept me satisfied. The workers were also really nice and accommodating, and the indoor seating was beautiful. The atmosphere felt like a fancy Italian café, complete with couches and artwork throughout the space. I wish I had taken pictures, but honestly, I was too busy enjoying what might be the best sandwich I've had in years.

Google their name and "best" and get hundreds of hits, but the majors who crowned them "best sandwich" title include Saveur Magazine, the big one touted by the family; Eater NY, ranking La Paradiso the most elite Italian sandwich outside of Italy; Las Vegas Weekly, who crowned them "Home of the world's best sandwiches"; TripAdvisor, for whom the Italian original is the most reviewed eatery with a near perfect rating; and The Infatuation NYC guides who promise the execution of the crispy, airy schiacciata bread completely justifies the hype. All 17 options looked amazing, so I spoke to a regular in line, telling her I couldn't decide between "La Paradiso", the most praised (even though she informed me "mortadella is just bolonie" or the Hot Italian, which was more my style. So, I did what any gluttonous American would do and I got both. And a Diet Coke, of course. La Paradiso has thinly sliced bolonie for a savory base, with creamy shredded stacciatella cheese, with sweet but earthy pistachio cream, and a sprinkle of toasted pistachio for texture (that I didn't detect). It was good, but I will likely fuggedaboutit. The Hot Italian had thin, lean turkey, spicy and smoky spreadable Calabrian pork sausage, a balancing provolone, calabrian chili honey, and peppery arugula (that they claim adds crunch that I didn't detect). Were they life-changing? No. But I rank Paradiso a 8.8 and Hot Italian a 10. And because everyone is hard-working and everything is so freshly prepared and cut, it's a class act. They should seriously make a sign that says, "Can't decide? Get two!" and then give me free sandwiches on my yearly trips for the idea.

Why they hid it all the way in the back, I have my assumptions and suspicions. I had to get an order of soup dumplings here so I got the Crab Soup Dumplings ($15). The skin is a bit thicker than other spots, but that means the skin ain't going to break on you easily. And do be careful how you bite into it, as the first one I bit into, the soup splattered all over my shirt and pants. Overall tasted great. Soup dumplings was not going to fill me up along, so I got something off of their lunch menu and settled upon Orange Chicken w Brown Rice ($18.50). Chicken was white meat, which is battered and deep fried. It says it was spicy, but it really wasn't. If you pay with a credit card, they will slap a 2% processing fee. Overall, service was pretty decent as well. Would come back again for lunch.

We could walk to it form the hotel and it was in the middle off all we wanted to show the boys on their first day (first time) in the city. We all chose different sandwiches and they were ready pretty fast. Since the shop itself is not huge, we landed a small space at the window bar with two stools and some standing room. After being in a car and on a flight and in another car all morning, we weren't mad about the standing part. We were all able to share and sample each sandwich, and honestly, we were not disappointed. We were all full and happy when we weren't finished, so what more could we want for a relatively quick NYC meal?
