Came here on a Thursday for a lunch with a colleague. Their pastas are $11 and you can eat it there. The pastas seemed to be freshly made. I got the chicken and mushroom whilst my colleague got the regular pasta with red sauce. We both agreed mine was better. The service was low touch - you order your food, they give you a number and bring out the food when ready. I really wanted to try their cookies as everything is made on site but I was way too full. It was not super crowded when we went on a Saturday afternoon, which was nice since you could have a conversation. The salad called Greens and Chicken was a good portion and fresh, with a creamy avocado and sliced chicken breast and a honey vinaigrette dressing. The food is solid and straightforward, and they offer breakfast all day which is a bonus. For this area of Midtown near Grand Central, it had an unusually relaxing and unrushed vibe, which I really appreciated. I would come back here for a quick bite or coffee again. I'm not sure if it gets more crowded during the work weekdays, but on a weekend it was relaxing, which was a relief in a touristy area. Came here this morning for breakfast. The place looks tiny from the outside but is larger once you walk in. The staff were so friendly and even gave some attention to our little one. We ordered the breakfast croissant sandwich and a pancake. The food was delicious!! We ordered a Hazelnut and Caramel Iced Coffees. They were good but our table was wobbly. Living and working in both South Florida and NYC it's always a bonus when you find Coffee Cafe spot that delivers wherever you are. Most recent stay in NYC was happy to find the Miami transport, Crema Gourmet Espresso Bar location here and that it continues to live up to its stellar reputation. Entrance is in a corner next to a Courtyard Marriott, which seems small from the outside until you enter into an expansive dining room with comfortable seats and tables. All Staff I encountered were professional and friendly which always makes for a pleasant visit, along with a top notch breakfast/lunch menu. The avocado toast rates a 5-star on the menu along with great coffee that has become a go-to staple whenever I visit. Prices a reasonable given continued nagging inflation and this being NYC. It's a very chill environment which makes for a great place to meet friends or family or to jump online to get work done. Solid WiFi. Shout out to store manager, Jeanita Hennry who runs a topnotch establishment and delivers service with a smile. Crema Gourmet is a welcome addition to the NYC Coffee Cafe scene. The beet salad is huge with generous portions of walnuts, beets and the creamiest goat cheese. There was nothing bad in this salad and everything worked together for a perfect bite every time. The pasta was everything I hoped and more, creamy sauce and juicy chicken with fresh mushrooms and penne. When I tell you I nearly licked the plate and wished there was more. Just trust me here and get this dish. If that's not enough to convince you to try here, breakfast is all day. ALL DAY!!! Service was quick, and since it's kind of hidden by the hotel it's quiet and not crowded, you order at the register and take your number to a table and when you're done, someone will come by to bus the table for you. Table runner was having difficulty understanding his tickets and randomly volunteering tables with similar food, the entire table if they accepted 'free' food. Highly recommend getting receipt from cashier. Mine documented the 40minute wait for Avocado Toast order and helped me communicate to food window when table runner got snippy. Of the two orders we made... we retrieved 4/5 drinks from counter and eventually got 3/2 Toast orders after 50minutes. Latte and Macchiato Coffee was nothing extraordinary. read more
