Lots of people and a line out front. Service seems to be moving quickly even with a lot of people. That's a good sign. My wife and I ordered the Denver crepe to share and a Nutella and Strawberry crepe to go. Both were delicious. Back to the service. It took a long time for our crepe to come out in fact people who ordered after us were getting their food first. Before I could say anything a waitress came out saw our number still on the table and ran back into the restaurant. Not too long after our crepes arrived. Ordered the chorizo scramble and it was delicious. Got a choice of salad or potatoes but they let me get both. The salad had a vinaigrette which was sweet so it was really good. Ordered a strawberry Nutella crepe and it wasn't too chocolatey, had a little crispiness to it which I love. Had a bowl of fruit and all of the fruit was super sweet and ripe. Although the line was long, the service was phenomenal when we reached the register. He helped us decide what to order and recommended a few dishes. One of the places I use to frequent in the Bay Area was Crepevine and Piedmont's former Crepevine Crepe Pan. I am not sure if this also use to be a Crepevine but they have a very similiar menu and vibe, and I am here for it. The menu is large. You can get breakfast, salads, sandwiches, savory and sweet desserts. There's really something for everyone. Anywhere I can get a crepe with strawberry and nutella crepe, I'm a happy camper. The chicken breast sandwich was great. The house potatoes...I mean you can't go wrong with potatoes. I can't wait to try out more of their menu. There's indoor and outdoor seating. The Canadian hollandaise was excellent! I used to like Hollandaise , but had some bad experiences with it, so I don't like it any more. Buy my daughter insisted that I need to try her order. And yes! It was well made, the Hollandaise sauce was not too thick (you don't have to drink lot of water to wash it down.) , not salty, you can actually taste the wonderful flavor of high quality eggs. ( you know some eggs has raw eggy tastes. This one made you appreciate the great taste of soft egg York that God made.) The hollandaise sauce blended so well with the soft egg york. Poached eggs were well done! You can actually see the waves of egg white ! Beautiful! Eggplants sand was tasty. Not as I expected with thin sliced eggplants but chopped up with other ingredients. I could not identify what else was inside the Sandwiches. It tastes good. We also ordered strawberry, brown sugar , and cinnamon crepes. They gave you good amount of strawberry. Went there Tuesday morning even though it was busy there wasnt a wait. The waitress helped us right away it was my first time there. The people working were very helpful. It was clean there was music playing not loud enough so we couldn't hear to order. Like I said it was busy so that was the only thing that was even loud. Still very comfortable. The food was very good, tasted very fresh. The only thing id say was a problem was the food was cold. Crepeville has always been one of my go-to places to bring people whenever they visit me in Davis. There is always a nice collection of food. And I love sitting in the outside areas whenever the weather is nice. It beats having to talk over some of my friends when it gets pretty loud in the restaurant. The reason why this review is not a 5-star rating was due to the lackluster flavor in the Asian fusion crepe. The shrimp had almost a really unpleasant fishy taste to it and the peanut sauce did not do much to help the flavor. I think most of the issues came from the peanut sauce and how it was integrated into the dish. It was watered down and did not combine well with the vegetables and shrimp. Weekends were made for brunch! My partner and I were tired of the options in our town and decided to go on an adventure to find somewhere new. Time was ticking down from breakfast, to brunch to lunch but luckily this place serves breakfast until 3pm. The place was packed and the line was out the door, you order at the register take your number and then sit down at a table. Tables turn over pretty fast so there wasn't hardly a wait to find a table, getting our food took a little wait but it was well worth it. I ordered the breakfast country scramble, my partner ordered the Denver crepe, and we split a banana & chocolate dessert crepe. My breakfast scarmble was amazing!! The mushrooms tasted fresh, it had a good amount of meat, and the potatoes OMG the potatoes have so much flavor. I think they are the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had. My partner and me both after the first bite said we would for sure be back. As for the dessert crepe it was so sweet and delicious. It's been ages since I had been to Crepeville and the first time at the Davis location. Labor Day Run 2024 and the finish line was just out side the restaurant. So that means once I finished the race, my friend and I got to have a stunning patio breakfast/lunch and watch the rest of the runners come in. It was probably one of the most exciting endings to a race that I've ever had. Crepeville always seems to have wonderful customer service and the staff seem very genuine. I love that they always have a carafe of water available for self service near the counter. Even with a busy restaurant and holiday fun run going on, there was no line for the single person restroom. Shocking! Food was fast but not rushed. I really wanted to get the potatoes as my side but their simple side salad is also my favorite so that's the direction I took this time with my sandwich. My other half did the French toast- looked incredible. She confirmed. I think next time whether I get breakfast or lunch, I'm definitely getting those potatoes on the side ! read more

Met a friend for a birthday breakfast here and enjoyed the visit! There was a line out the door to order, but plenty of seating (inside and outside) and the line moved relatively fast. I was planning to try a crepe (honestly, I'm not sure I've ever had one!), but when I saw benedicts on the menu, I changed course. I can never pass up a good Benny! My friend had the same idea and we ended up getting the same benedict. It was very tasty and the hollandaise sauce was great. My sister raves about this place & always says it's so good so when we went to visit her at school, she brought us here. There was a bit of a line out the door but it went quick. You place your order at the register, then they give you a number to bring back to your table. Since we had dogs with us, we grabbed a table outside to sit at. They have so many options to choose from on their menu. We ended up deciding on the Savory Crepe, Strawberry Banana Nutella Crepe, Banana Chocolate Crepe & Oatmeal (not pictured). It ended up taking us 30+ minutes to get our food - we checked in with them & they told us it was coming but it still took another 10 minutes after that. Once we got our food, it was quite disappointing. Not sure if it was just an off day, but the crepes were all crispy so they just kept breaking apart - my sister said it's not usually like that & they're normally soft. The oatmeal was also super watered down - I've never had oatmeal where there was a huge puddle of water sitting on top of it. I poured out what I could & tried the oatmeal which was pretty much soup at that point - I wish I remembered to take a picture of it to share here. We have eaten at Davis Crepeville for 17 years and have had many a good meal there. Recently, quality and cleanliness have dropped drastically! Today our food ordered was wrong as well as undercooked. The walls have the same food on them I asked them to clean on previous visits and we brought up the food that needed to be cleaned up and were brushed off. Savory and sweet crepes, savory are served as (heavy) meals, also have the usual egg dishes plus sandwiches and burgers. Though it's an order at the counter and have your food delivered place like much of Davis, you will be prompted for a tip though not on the payment device, it shows up on your printed receipt like a table service restaurant. It's an extensive menu with some creativity, California -themed, nothing to complain about. House potatoes are quite nice. Came for breakfast around 10 am as a party of 3. You order at the register first and then get a number and find an open table either indoors or outdoors. We ordered the California crepe, the Midtown Eggs Benedict, the brown sugar crepe, and the strawberry crepe. The orders came out in a timely manner and we dug right in. Both of the savory crepe and eggs benedict came with a side of potatoes (you also also opt for spring salad) and the portion was quite substantial. The eggs benedict had a wonderful creamy, slightly tangy hollandaise and there was tomatoes and avocado as well. The crepe had a good amount of filling and paired with the potatoes, it was plenty of food. The dessert crepes here are also nice. The brown sugar one was a bit more tart than I expected because of the addition of lemon but if you enjoy a sweet-tangy bite then I think this would be up your alley. The strawberry crepe was more to my liking because it had a sweeter palette but not overly so. Overall, great breakfast spot or even brunch if you're willing to wait in the line! The good: seems like they prepare dishes FAST after they take your order The bad: when they make a mistake, there's no effort (at all) to own up to it; you have to be one of those people to nag The line for this place seems to traditionally be really long; the ordering process is fairly quick though, but only one cashier so that would be the bottleneck. However, it seems in general this place gets your order prepared FAST. How fast? Well my daughter and I were ordering at the cashier, and she ordered a Borgia coffee, and it arrived before I even finished paying. Then we took a seat. And waited. And yep they moved fast, I saw all kinds of orders come and go for everyone else. Some folks behind us finished eating. The folks in front of us left with boxes. I went in to check ... "your order is coming in a few minutes". Really? Oh and yeah, after five minutes of my asking it did arrive (total 25 min wait), though my daughter had already finished her coffee. What did we order? Crepes. Like everyone else. Let's face it, they forgot, plain and simple. At the rate other dishes were popping off for the servers, no way we needed 20-25 mins. It didn't help that we were on a time crunch and decided to bear through the line because I was observing how fast the food was coming out for folks I personally saw just place their orders. Now I get it, mistakes happen, but own up to it. All I needed was admittance so it wasn't me or something weird with our order. If it isn't owned up, then it leaves things to the imagination, and for me two possible outcomes, both of which lead to the same principle. If our order for some reason really took that long, I have no clue why because we didn't order anything fancy. Explain it to me, I waited that long. On the other hand if they just forgot, well then now going forward I have to be 'that person' who has to keep nagging about my order (which I don't like to do). Don't make the customer guess, tell them. Ultimately either way the true outcome is loss of trust.
