    Strawberry Chocolate Crepe
    Alma S.

We came as a party of 5 on a Saturday for lunch. Parking for this corner location is on the street & the Farmers Market was going on across the way at Central Park. We lucked out with quickly getting a nearby spot & joined the line around the side of the building. The line moved at a decent pace. There are 2 sections of indoor seating & some outdoor seating along the sidewalk with some of it covered. Signage is posted to wait until you have an order number to find seating, but it appeared a few parties didn't honor that. You order at the counter inside & find a table. The menu is on big boards above with some items displayed on smaller boards on the counter. Handheld menus are also available. Specials were on a board by the door. The style inside is older & worn with character. There are big windows, but with all the dark wood, it didn't feel bright where we sat. Faint music plays, but is mostly obscured by the sound of fellow diners who are at tables that are situated closely. Tables have padded chair & wooden bench seating. Our order-- Chicken Pesto Crepe with Spring Mix Chicken Pesto Crepe with customizations & Potatoes Canadian Benedict with Potatoes Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich with Spring Mix & Potatoes Strawberry Chocolate Crepe Water, ice cubes, & lemon slices are self serve. It was a bit of a wait for our food that came out at the same time. We all really enjoyed our food! The crepes had a good amount of tasty filling--the savory had great cheese pull, the sweet was loaded with melty chocolate. The Spring Mix Salad came dressed with a light, sweeter dressing. The Potatoes were soft & mashable vs being firm cubes. Staff we encountered--from ordering to serving to clearing the table to leaving--were friendly, helpful, & personable.

After months of avoiding the daunting line at this place, my boyfriend and I finally braved the wait to try it, and it was honestly worth it! The line actually moved decently quickly to get to the counter to order and pay. Food took a little while to come out but it did not disappoint. We ordered a lot for two people -- the chicken pesto crepe, the Crepeville French toast, and a half order of the sweet date salad. Everything was absolutely delicious! I especially loved that the French toast had a banana bread base. The salad was refreshing and had a variety of textures. The crepe was a great savory brunch option, and the potatoes were excellently seasoned. I look forward to coming back to try more off their huge menu!

Excellent services! Servers are extremely nice. You just can't wait and I have to give them a five stars reviews. We are looking around the restaurant at downtown UC Davis. The restaurant is old, but it is clean and they have very good and very friendly staffs. They have pet friendly outdoor patio too.our crepe is excellent. Not too sweet, just right. Will be back!

    Mediterranean Crepe

Delicious! But also very oily from the cheese. I had the Mediterranean Crepe. Order at the counter, then they'll give you a number to bring to your table. Self-serve water. Staff was average in terms of friendliness. It's probably not somewhere I'm rushing back to go to again but don't regret trying it.

    Soup of the day

Was walking around with a friend and we saw the line, so we decided to try it. It took us about 40 minutes to be seated, and you order/pay before you find your own seating. What we got: Mediterranean crepe (5/5) -- creamy, cheesy, savory, fragrant. great for vegetarians or just anyone who loves eggplant and roasted peppers. Pesto is listed in the ingredients, but I didn't remember tasting much of this Soup of the day (3/5) -- way too salty, spicy, and too much celery compared to the other vegetables. Also, the noodles were mush Seafood fettucine (4/5) -- Could taste the garlic in the sauce which was good, good tomato flavor Very casual place and affordable, I wouldn't mind coming back for more crepes.

Always busy on the weekends and for good reason! One of the best places in Davis for brunch. Personal serving sizes and a wide variety of dishes. Lots of seating (indoor + outdoors) and cozy vibes! The pancakes were delicious (we requested extra whipped cream free of charge!) and cinnamon roll crepe was very sweet (as expected). The clam chowder was one of the best ones I've had yet, and there was still enough food to take home! Orders are placed at the register before sitting, and checks can be split 9 ways

Pros: They have a ton of options. I like their ginger juice and many coffee choices. Turnover is relatively fast so even when it seems like there won't be tables available, there are. It's counter-order and open-seating. Food is solid with large portions. Cons: Service is hit-or-miss. Our food took a long time to come out, and when it did, my BLT was missing tomato. What? I asked for the tomato and they took it back and added it, but didn't provide a fresh plate or any apology for the mishap. I would come back for coffee, but probably would go to Bernardo's for food instead.

    Vegan Apple Caramel Crepe

Great spot for breakfast or lunch. Very Busy, line out the door but it moved fast. Challenge finding a table inside (packed) but outdoor seating is available (windy). We ordered a savory vegetarian crepe "the Californian" with excellent side of herbed potatoes and a Vegan sweet Apple Caramel crepe filled with thinly sliced apples. Lunch savory crêpe was much bigger than the sweet crêpe which was more of a dessert, crêpe and slightly smaller, it doesn't come with the side of anything except a dollop of whipped cream. Both good. Iced Mocha with Soy milk also good. Fast friendly service. Street parking out front. Recommend.

Long wait, but went fast once you ordered! I ordered a Strawberry Crepe and it was delicious. It taste similar to a cinnamon pretzel.

Savory, lemon blitz, Marseilles, Sweet Date Salad - Half size
    Sandy L.

We came here for brunch. There aren't many savory crepe options in Solano County so we made the drive to Davis. Crepeville seems very popular. The line goes out the door. But they seem organized. There are signs asking people to not take seats until they've ordered. So we didn't have any issues finding a table. They have a covered outdoor sidewalk patio area in addition to the indoor seating. Indoor seating is a mix of various sized tables and window/bar like seating. The system is order at the counter and take a number. There is a water dispenser on the left side and to go boxes in the area where food pick up is. We ordered the savory crepe with a side of the sweet date salad, honey lemon blitz, the Marseilles crepe, another savory crepe I forgot the name of, and a mimosa. Total was about $60. I loved the savory crepe! It was delicious. Despite being covered in pesto it didn't taste too heavy. The salad was the perfect side to balance out the savory with some sweetness and crunch. I would have left very full and happy after only that. The mimosa was a bit strong. But that can be good! It was served in a regular glass and not a wine glass. It was tasty. For about $7.50 it's well worth it. The sweet crepes weren't as impressive as the savory crepes in my opinion. The tastes were very subtle. It wasn't as sweet as I was expecting or wanted. You could taste the lemon tho. I think next time I'd skip the sweet crepes but definitely go for savory crepes again.

CREPES ARE SO SO GOOD. The restaurant has a very great ambience. Only thing is it can get insanely busy so you gotta go early.

I'm glad I did because everything was delicious. I ordered the pork belly banh mi and a cup of the Greek lemon chicken and farro soup. The banh mi was definitely the highlight. The pork belly was moist, tender, chewy, and really flavorful, and the crunchy vegetables added a great contrast. The ciabatta was perfectly soft with just a little bit of grilling and worked really well with everything in the sandwich. It was also a pretty substantial portion. I could only finish half and took the other half home for my son to try. The Greek lemon chicken and farro soup was also really good. I would have loved a little more lemon zing to it, but that's really my only critique of the food. Tenisha helped me during my visit and was super friendly and welcoming, which made a great first impression for a new location. My lunch came in just under $30, so it's definitely on the pricier side for a sandwich-and-soup lunch. That said, everything tasted fresh and high quality, with plenty of protein and vegetables, and the pricing seems pretty comparable to the other options in this newly updated shopping area. Overall, this was a great first visit. The food was fresh, delicious, and felt like a healthier lunch option without sacrificing flavor. I've been waiting for Mendocino Farms to open and went a little out of my way to finally try it, and it was absolutely worth the trip. I'll definitely be back.

My family and I decided to walk around and as we were about to cross the street, out of the corner of my eye I spotted an intriguing window display...of tinned fish! Be still my bougie heart and the cookbooks, totes, art prints, artisanal and local cheeses, breads and spreads! They had just moved from a smaller location and this little house front made it all the more charming. My husband laughed and said it was like Mabel's had manifested itself knowing I would be there that day. The owner (Shelley I believe) was so warm and welcoming. She was sweet to my toddler and clearly had experience as a mother/aunt/grandmother to someone because she charmed my daughter who is usually very shy. I walked away with a gorgeous tinned fish print of one of my favorite local artists, and a tote full of tinned fish from brands I enjoy and others I had not tried before. The selection is vast and really offers so much for both experienced and new converts to tinned fish. Mabel's is THE place to come to for your picnicking needs. Grab a blanket and make your way here to grab stuff. Small sized spreads make it easy, and all you need is some bread or crackers, fresh fruit and salami, chocolate and tinned fish of course! The wonderful people who work here make Mabels Market. Because you feel like you have a friend who is looking out for you; to ensure you have the best experience. They have their famous pies as well as produce and some other stuff, but its a very small shop with like 4 tables outdoors. Def a stop on your way somewhere, not necessarily a destination. Their pie slices were like $8 a slice and a whole pie was $30. They also had many more options for whole pies vs pie slices, but its possible its because we went later in the day? They had some savory pies, cold pies, but mostly baked pies like peach, various berries, etc! They also have fruit freezes you can purchase too! We ended up sharing a banana cream pie and i got a peach pie too. The banana cream pie was HEFTY. It was HEAVY and PACKEDDDD. A LOT of cream a LOT of banana filling. Very yummy though and feeds a lot more people than you'd think. The peach pie was also very good! Im not a huge "cooked fruit" person and neither is mt family but we demolished the pie. The peaches were a surprisingly nice texture! And the crust was very good. $30 is a bit steep but if theyre using fresh fruits and baking them fresh its worth a stop if youre in the area!
