This hotel is located right on Ocean Ave in front of Lummus Park and on the much quieter - less rowdy side of Ocean Ave. Booking was easy as I prefer to book through the Hilton app. The day finally came and check in was just two buildings down from our building. The front desk lady checked us in right away and gave us the 411. We were also given an access key to be able to access the other two properties. (They are right next door to each other so that's a plus) We made our way over to the Crescent and a key was required to get inside which made us feel safer that random ppl could not just walk in. We made it up to the 4th floor to our room and made it inside. Our room was pretty big and we enjoyed the layout. It had a spacious living room / kitchen area and the shower / bath was huge. The kitchen was fully stocked and the bed was very comfortable. The view wasn't great though as we were just facing the next door property. Oh and the rooftop was closed due to some remodeling.. As soon as we walked into our room, we quickly got hit with the smell of smoke and spoiled trash even though this was a non smoking room. The smell lingered throughout our entire stay. At times the stench was stronger then other times but not sure what it was. I did check around the room for any spoiled trash and or food but I couldn't find the source of the bad smell. Overall our stay was a good one. We enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and the size of our room. The smell was the only thing that threw me off. read more

The room wasn't bad at all. A little dated but very comfortable and quiet. The customer service from PALOMA who checked us in was disrespectful and disgusting. I don't know why she felt the need treat us like we didn't belong or like she didn't want us here. We were waiting for the first room to be available since our flight was changed. PALOMA told us she already had our phone number and she would call us when a room was available. I then asked her to repeat the number to us and she couldn't do it so I gave her our number again. Later, we asked if she had bottled water. PALOMA told us "we don't have water for you" we then told her we were Diamond members and that is one of our benefits. She walked away while talking to us say again "we don't do that here" she never came back so we left to the next door lobby. At this point it was 2pm and I noticed other guests checking in early and getting rooms. I went back to the check hoping for another person but there she was PALOMA rolling her eyes as I walked in. Before I said a word, "No room available" very fast and stern. I replied "OK please call us". At 2:10 Pm we received a call from another staff member letting us know we have a room. PALOMA checked us in and never gave any instructions about amenities, where are room was, check out times. She only asked how many keys do we need. My wife asked her again. What do they have for Dime members checking in? PALOMA walked away from the desk again and came back with a bag with two water bottles. This upset me because we were lied to earlier. I reminded her that she told us they didn't give water bottles to Diamond members. At this point everything was in question for me I asked her what other benefits aren't we getting like room upgrades late checkouts and she said they don't do Diamond member benefits. I was very disappointed at this time we walked out of the check-in lobby, headed to our room with no direction whatsoever, and no information on the hotel. We had to look for our room which was in that different building. When we walked in our room, everything looked fine except there was construction going on right by our room right outside our window. I didn't wanna deal with the check-in or the front desk so we didn't say anything. Then we noticed the TV in the bedroom didn't work, at this point, I was forced to call the front desk and guess who answered, PALOMA. I asked if she can have someone come take a look at the TV and she said she would send someone two hours later. I'm still waiting in the room and I was forced to call the front desk again thank God someone else picked up the phone and took my request as if I never called before, I had somebody at my room within 10 minutes, which was pretty quick compared to two hours. The next morning, housekeeping comes to our room around 10 AM. I explained to them we weren't ready we never knew checkout was at 10 AM. I called to request a late check out to 1030 AM. PALOMA answered I asked can 3106 have a late checkout? PALOMA says "we don't have anymore late checkout" I knew this was the wrong person to reason with, so I just said OK and hung up. My wife reminded me she never mentioned any checkout times or any instruction because she had an attitude with us the whole time. Being a Hilton, Diamond member for so many years and a Hilton vacation club owner. This is one of the most disrespectful experience I've ever had from a Hilton brand. I will be following up with additional complaints because this does not represent Hilton at all. read more

The hotel was still in construction when we visited April 2019. Most of the building front was covered in scaffolds. I've stayed at many Diamond Resorts and Hotels, but this one did not live up to my expectations. I thought the elevator was going to break down any second. The sliding doors to the bedroom and bathroom did not close all the way and did not offer much privacy. There is no free parking available. You either have to find street parking and pay the meter or park at the nearby parking deck for $20 a day. The suite layout was neat, modern, and had a beach theme. The beds were comfortable. The sofa bed wasn't lumpy. Living on Ocean Drive in South Miami is very convenient, but it can get loud at night. On the first night, someone's car alarm was going off at midnight. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The manager apologized for the inconvenience and offered a complimentary wine bottle. However, I wished there was a washing machine and dryer in the unit. I think it is essential for a beach hotel, just because it can get messy with sand and beach waters. read more

I'm a DR owner and reserved 3 -day stay . Accommodations were great and check in concierge was accommodating and attentive. 2 min walk from beach and restaurants. We parked on city garage ,$20 a day , no issues there and secure . Only wish there had a washer/dryer in the building. Will definitely come back to this property. Restaurant tip : cafe de Mauro is amazing , do not waste your time with the Italian restaurant on the resort street (can't remember the name). read more

The concierge is friendly and helpful I and Isaiah at the front desk is quite an asset to the company. Fruebdly, knowledgeable and has initiative. The suites are comfortable and spacious. Clean and perfect to suit our disabled childs needs. However, the internet/WiFi is totally unstable and it is very annoying. This needs to get fixed asap. Hope you don't have to do business while you're here because you will be stuck in the lobby doing it in public. Parking is also inconvenient but not a deal breaker. read more

I have been a Diamond member for almost 20years, (started back in the Sunterra days,) and we have stayed at numerous different Diamond properties in Florida, Tennessee, Nevada, and even 2 in Europe. Some resorts are old, some are new, but usually they have an amazing staff that makes sure your every need is taken care of. I have stayed at the Crescent Resort before, so I know it's old & in the Art Deco style of South Beach. (That is part of its charm.). I came for the fabulous location; right on Ocean Drive, across from a large & very well maintained beach. I was even aware that the resort was undergoing a "facelift," and was completely covered in scaffolding in front. I also realize that the resorts in that area are all packed really close together, without much landscaping. What didn't impress us was that there often was no one at the front desk, and when there was; they were usually pleasant, but not super-welcoming. They had croissants at the front desk a few days when we were there; but no one was offering them.....I was not sure who they were supposed to be for....guests? A tour group? I was also disappointed that there was no conditioner in the bathroom. (When we called the front desk they said the shampoo had conditioner in it. It didn't state this on the bottle, and as a woman who spent much of the day on the beach, conditioner was crucial!) (What happened to those upgraded amenities for Gold status members that they brag about during sales presentations?). The rooms are set up nicely & the beds were comfy. I just feel there could be a little more "luxury".....daily newspapers, the use of a cabana, or at least beach chairs, since there isn't a pool.... I found out that there was a gym we could have been using nearby, but no one in the resort ever informed us of this. I think Diamond's Crescent Beach Resort is in need of a little more than just a remodeled facade! read more

My husband and I were sitting outside, we had a view of the front lobby and sitting area. As we are sitting here, a couple and a front desk man walk outside. The wife was yelling at the front desk man repeatedly telling him he was wrong and he needed to listen to her. He explained which window went to each room and the specific ocean view they would have. The front desk guy stayed very calm and was doing his best to try and calm her down. This had been going on for 15+ minutes. Even though my husband and I are stayed next door at The penguin, I would choose the Crescent next time. Specifically because the way the front desk man handled the situation. What a quaint spot. We had the top floor room at the front of the resort which was perfect for NYE. We had a great view. The check in staff was excellent and made us feel welcomed. A tiny lizard did make his way into the shower with me one morning, which better sealed doors might help prevent, but the room was clean and comfy. Very spacious room and there were four of us. Diamond Resorts was a life saver because we were supposed to stay elsewhere. I found this room in the week hours of the morning and it couldn't have worked out better. The room was spacious and clean with everything you need for a weeks stay. We had our room cleaned once and it was an exceptional job. Resistant and ill-mannered staff. Bugs everywhere (refer to the pictures). Non-working toilets and showers. We were there for three nights and on the second day, our room was switched out and given to other people who came into the room when we were still there, compromising our SAFETY. After management was told, they have some apathetic excuse stating that the trainee did it on 'accident', which the management should be accountable for in any case. I get that she's new, but all they truly do is give excuses, don't apologize, and act like it was our fault for not checking with the front desk EACH night too see if we were still checked into the room. Don't waste your precious time, energy, and money. Dishonest people run this place. read more

My best friend and I stayed at the Crescent for the 2014 holidays in room 3403 on the fourth floor. The fourth floor has a nice veranda overlooking the beach with lounge chairs. The rooms have personality and are very quaint and comfy. European style furnishings and a fully functioning kitchen were a plus. Overall the hotel is nice and right across from the beach. The front desk agent Jacque was very welcoming and friendly. He gave us an excellent recommendation to a sandwich bar Sandwicherie which turned out to be a hit. A few improvements: we were constantly sneezing and itching due to dust mites in the bedding, there was no conditioner in the bathroom and only one soap in the room. The front desk only answered the phone sometimes after ringing for a long time. The ac unit is extremely noisy like a plane taking off runway.There is no alarm/clock radio in the room. The bed was a bit soft, but comfortable. The bathroom needs an organizer to hold the tissues and towels next to the sink so the sink area is not so cramped. The proximity to the beach compensates for the lack of pool. Overall it is a cute hotel with personality that needs some minor improvements. Good for a long stay. read more

Noel who runs this property (or is somewhere high up on the team who runs the hotel) is an absolute GEM of a manager. I am a Miami Beach local and very rarely make my way down Ocean Drive as the tourist traffic tends to get too overwhelming for my tast. but i'm sure glad i did today. I grabbed a coffee and sat right outside on the benches to sip it for a few minutes before starting my day this morning. While sitting down, I couldn't help but overhear Noel greeting every single guest walking through the door while making his presence known with an amazing energy and charismatic smile. I have never seen this type of passion or genuine warm greetings before from a hotel employee, let alone a manager doing such a small act of holding the door open and greeting guests as the sun was wising around 6/7AM. that is very hard to do! But Noel executes fluidly and he didn't skip a beat regardless of who walked through those front doors. He deserves the utmost recognition for his management and wonderful personality. I can't wait to come back to this gem of a property to visit again on my next Ocean Drive coffee-run/workout. read more

It's definitely not a 5 star hotel but with that said we did have a great time and it is in a good location. We used the kitchen a lot and it came with a full kitchen set which was very nice. It's practically on the beach just a 2 minute walk across a small park area. Everything is really walking distance from this hotel but I would say for better food/ prices you need to go a little further out. The hotel staff our trained to advertise the restaurants next door with a discount but even with the discount it's too expensive. My main issues with the hotel was internet that never worked in our room, the very sad options for a "continental breakfast", and it doesn't have its own pool. The staff was very friendly and did address the internet issue the best they could. The breakfast is literally store bought pastries and bagels. So we ended up grocery shopping for breakfast stuff and took bagels each morning to make a real meal out of it. When you look around the area it is a hotel without a pool but honestly the ocean is right there so not a huge issue. I would come here again but just don't expect a luxury hotel like majority of the timeshares have. read more

Not a good impression for my first timeshare experience. The staff was nice and the location is great but that's it. There was no "wow" factor at all. The only thing I liked about the room was the artwork. There was hair still left in the tub and bed. It took forever for the water in the sink and shower to get hot (if it got hot at all). Stayed here for one night. It was a spacious one bedroom suite with a kitchen (fridge, freezer, sink, dish washer). I love our tiffany blue room with the painting. We were on the second floor looking into the Hilton resort beside us. For some reason around 7AM there is a loud screeching metal colliding sound like a dumpster crushing some items? Just be aware there is no valet. It was discontinued last month apparently so you will need to park in a garage. Don't make the mistake of idling waiting for valet...I ended up paying $50 to park at the M&G standard for 24 hours. read more

Good location and friendly staff. I exchanged this through my timeshare. I have to say it was substandard of what Diamond Resorts usually offers. We had a view of the alley. The furniture is worn and the kitchen cabinets are old and chipping. I question it's overall cleanliness-the microwave and refrigerator were covered with fingerprints upon arrival. Crumbs on the counter -Ewww! Since we didn't have a view,we were disappointed to find the rooftop clear of any furniture. read more

My father in law stayed here and was not happy. Drunk people make lots of noise coming in at 5 in the morning on a Saturday night and the walls are so thing you could hear them inside your room. The view he had was to the building next to him, it had a crust of dust under the sofa and other furniture. The elevator was small and only my baby's stroller fit in with me squeezed in behind it. They have lounge chairs outside so you can just chill and people watch. read more

Great location, great staff, and clean! I recently went to Miami from LA for a girls' weekend. The rooms were very roomy and clean. The beach is right across the street and busy bars and restaurants all around. In the room, it was quiet and all the outside noise stayed outside. The staff went out of their way. We checked out early, but didn't have our flight back home until later that evening. We were able to keep our luggage at the hotel with no issues. I would recommend this place to anyone! read more

Location is awesome..on the quieter end of the strip..right across from the beach. So you can just walk down a few blocks to get crazy at night and come back to a place where you can actually sleep. The beach is fabulous, however watch out for warning flags at the lifeguard stations..we didn't know what the purple flag meant until I got stung by a jellyfish.. Then the lifeguard was like ya they are out there..that's what the flag is for. Doh..live and learn. The lifeguard was really nice (great to have them at a busy beach)... Had some vinegar spray handy, but honestly it's a horrible experience to get stung so beware. The room was just so so. It's just old and well used. Everything worked ok..fridge cook top etc.. But it's definitely not fancy, just sufficient. Staff was very nice and pleasant..room was clean. There is no pool..a rooftop deck that does allow u to see the ocean, but there is no shade up there..it was HOT. We did valet parking which was expensive, but there was no way to find any parking so it is what it is. Also any food or drinks on the strip are insanely expensive..can easily drop $100 for a meal with cocktails. So the kitchen came in real handy for cheaper eats and snacks. Overall it was a decent place to stay and I would return to this hotel. read more
