Didn't have huge expectations for this place, but we were pleasantly surprised by the portion size and overall taste/consistency of the ice cream. Came here for dessert on a Wednesday evening and there was no line - super quick. Service was super friendly and kind enough to let us try as many flavors as we liked. We settled on two flavors and got plenty of both - huge cup and scoops. They don't skimp which I love! The space also had tons of seating so we ate quickly and left without any issue. They were also doing trivia in the same area which was cool. If we're ever in the area again, I would gladly stop by!

I saw Crescent Ridge featured on Somebody Feed Phil! Located in the Boston Public Market, a must visit location, we just had to try. Delicious ice cream, great portions and such a friendly staff! We tried a few different flavors but chose Orange Sherbert, Cherry Ridge Ripple, and another flavor I don't remember but it was delicious!! Definitely recommended.

Crescent Ridge was my favorite stop of the entire Boston trip. If you are already in the area, I would absolutely recommend making a visit. The serving sizes were humongous, even when just asking for a sample, they gave us a full spoonful to try, which we more than appreciated. We got the s'mores ice cream, and it was incredible. The graham cracker pieces were the highlight and added the perfect texture and flavor. Great ice cream, great value, and a place I will definitely return to next time I'm in town.

Came here after a sunny day to get a refreshing treat. They have a nice big parking lot to park in. The service was very fast. I got the chocolate ripple which was light and sweet. The vanilla and chocolate were delicious and could not stop eating. I got my ice cream and ate at the benches they had looking over the fields. It was a great relaxing atmosphere. This is a great family friendly place

While at first look this is pretty pricey. You got so much! I couldn't believe how big the tiny tot size was. Everyone enjoyed and none was finished. Order small

Holy cow! I hardly ever give 5 stars but this place just blew me away with the flavors, customer service and sheer size of the thing. Their sign says 2x larger than you think and for sure. My "kiddie" cup was HUGE. I ended up taking it with me on a walk to the north end. The ice cream is hearty and creamy and hold its shape. Kiddie cup allow for two flavors, just to let you know. I settled on Graham central with black raspberry chocolate chip on top. It was amazing. The chunks of chocolate are BIG and graham central comes with chocolate covered honeycombs. Wow.

An ice cream stall located in Boston Public Market next to the Popover Lady and across from Union Square Donuts. Lots of flavors to choose from and 4 different sizes including tiny, kiddie, small, and large. I opted for a kiddie cone with strawberry and cotton candy. The service is quick and even if there is a small line it'll move fairly quickly. The ice cream here is rich, smooth, and creamy. They use real chunks of strawberry in the ice cream and the cotton candy flavor isn't too sweet or artificial. The size of the kiddie cone was huge and I wasn't sure if I'd be able to finish it, but lo and behold after some time it was all gone. This is a sweet, cold, refreshing treat to eat in the summertime.

Huge portions, great ice cream that is creamy not gummy with creative flavors. Great staff with good suggestions. Location is inside Boston Market, which is also nice on a hot day.

Absolute best ice cream in the greater Boston area. Campfire s'mores is my go-to, with extreme chocolate coming in at a close second!

I built my own with custard fish, twist ice cream, caramel sauce, and Oreo crumbs. Beautiful presentation and honestly delicious. The cone smelled and tasted so great. The custard is more of a cream but still good. Where I'm being picky: the cone could've been a little crispier and the toppings were pretty minimal. I couldn't taste or see any of the caramel sauce and the Oreo dust is so fine I think I inhaled more of it into my lungs than I actually ate. I wish it was actual mashed up pieces not fine dust. We will definitely be back though! I just won't get Oreo crumbs next time.

We got our ice cream and ate out in the courtyard area, seaport is such a nice place. I got a matcha soft-serve in a taiyaki cone with red bean, and my bf got a vanilla one. The ice cream and taiyaki fish tasted great, my only gripe was how incredibly messy it was to eat. There was such a large volume of ice cream in the cone itself that I wasn't able to eat fast enough and it started melting all over my hands and arms. Like it was crazy. I was eating this ice cream like an animal. It would be nice if they served this with a cup or something. So I just feel like if you're not someone who can inhale a giant ice cream this is not for you. I would just get a plain taiyaki fish treat with ice cream on the side.

I've heard folks raving about this place for years, so finally decided to swing by and try it out…read more First off, must say I'm a bit of a skeptic regarding specialty ice cream shops: with one exception (a now-defunct "frozen custard" shop in Friendswood, Texas of all places, where you could see the super-dense/rich stuff glacially oozing out of the machine, and one milkshake's worth of it kept me full for the rest of the day!) I have yet to find any that are significantly better than ordinary Haagen Daz from a supermarket. In fact, most ice cream parlour ice creams aren't even as good, while costing orders of magnitude more than supermarket H-D! Toscanini's is close to equal to H-D in my book...and mainly for the fact that they offer some truly unusual and original flavors: we had the Mango Sticky Rice, Burnt Caramel, and Kulfi. My friend who enjoyed the first one the most, quickly tired of the second, and the third was my favorite by far, mainly because I love cardamom and saffron so much. I was somewhat conflicted with the Burnt Caramel...first taste was delightful, but halfway through the novelty faded away for the most part. We both appreciated that the ice cream was not hyper-sweet like JP Licks, though. HOWEVER, the extreme creaminess, density, and dry mouth-feel of H-D was just not there, as usual. I'd describe the texture of Toscanini's ice cream to be fairly ordinary, like a typical soft/smooth gelato texture. Not bad, but not anything I would really write home about. YMMV of course. Otherwise, service was good and the place is clean and pleasantly modern inside, with 3 nice new steel benches to sit at outside. The benches are curiously turned AWAY from the street, I suppose to foster more of a "communal" vibe and people-watching opportunities. I've walked by during peak hours and seen it quite full, so this place clearly is still quite popular. At $8.25 for 3 scoops (albeit fairly generous sized scoops) of oh, 8 out of 10 ice cream, I don't see myself ever becoming a regular here despite the undeniably interesting/unique flavors, unless I came mainly for the people-watching opps on a nice weather day.

If I had gone to the Harvard location I would have been in and out in 5-10 minutes. That was not the case at the North End location but in fairness it was Friday night and around the time people want dessert. The North End location had four lines from the counter to the door with the line out the door. They take cash only but while you wait you have plenty of time to decide on what you actually want to get. They have 10+ cannoli flavors plus many other pastries. We opted for a pistachio cannoli and a amaretto cannoli. The cannoli were twice the size of what I was anticipating so we split one on Friday and split the other on Saturday. If I went back I'd get the amaretto again. The pistachio was mostly ricotta tasting. If you go, go early and bring cash!

Having enjoyed cannoli in Italy and éclairs in various places across Europe, I found these pastries to be overrated and not worth the wait--even if there had been no line and everything was half-price. The chocolate éclair looked unappealing and was quite dry. The filling was excessively sweet and left an artificial aftertaste. The cannoli shells lacked the crispness I expected, and again, the filling was overwhelmingly sweet with what tasted like artificial ingredients. I honestly don't understand the hype. My guess is that much of it comes from social media influencers who may not have experienced similar pastries in Europe. Yet whenever someone visits Boston, they're told they "have to" try Mike's Pastry. For me, it simply didn't live up to its reputation. Disappointing. Oh, it is only cash. Hm...

We all got small sizes: one with a scoop of cake batter + scoop of oreo, one strawberry, and one orange sherbet. They all were delicious and definitely satisfied our ice cream craving. Their interior aesthetic made me feel like I was stopping in at an ice cream joint in the middle of New Hampshire or Vermont haha I loved it. I also noticed they do mini ice cream cakes... ADORABLE. I'm most definitely coming back to try their mini ice cream cakes & for more ice cream!
