Needed to rent a wet vac and a carpet blower to deal with a water overflow that soaked our master bedroom carpet. This was my first time visiting Cresco and was very impressed: knowledgeable, helpful, great customer service. I needed a rototiller for a backyard project. I had no idea what I was doing. I called a few other rental places, who all either sounded offended that I wasn't an expert on their equipment or tried to get me to rent more expensive equipment than I needed. When I called Cresco, they advised me how to prep the yard even before I agreed to rent anything. When I arrived, the staff was friendly, energetic, and cheerful. After calling a few places-including another Cresco location in Lafayette-I decided to drive to this place because of the helpful attitude and time spent on the phone with me to explain what I really needed to do the job I was doing. These guys were so nice-helpful-and really listened instead of talking "down" to me since I obviously didn't know exactly what I was doing! They gave me advice-told me what my choices were of equipment that would work for my yard project-loaded it up and, best of all, had me smiling and laughing when I was definitely tired, hot and somewhat cranky! Same attitude when I returned it-all of them smiling, cheerful, and helpful. I will continue to go here in the future if I need something and will definitely refer them to others. They seem to know what lots of others don't about customer service and have a "life is too short" sort of attitude. I wish everyone could be like this! read more

This is the best place to rent equipment I have ever been to. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is obvious that they really love working here. I ran into trouble with a pipe the day of my project and ended up having to keep the equipment a few extra days because of it. We went out of our way to come to this Cresco based on the great reviews and we were not disappointed! We had never used a tiller before but Jim and the guys recommended one for our 400 sqft area. They showed us how to operate it and told us we'd be done tilling in a couple hours. They were right and everything worked great. Love the friendly helpful service. Wow, what a piss poor first experience. Called to rent a yard /leaf vacuum on tuesday and was told no need to reserve it, no one rents it, to driving 24 miles one way saturday morning and SORRY it's reserved for someone else, We don't have one for you. Shame on me should have insisted the employee put my name on it for saturday pick up. Will never go back and plan on telling as many people as I can about the experience. Wish Wally's or Bailey's rentals would carry one. Plus for Sears I just bought my own this morning. My advise if you have to rent from these clowns make them put your name on it because they won't give a shit if it's not there when you show up and they'll just give you the look like your some idiot or something else. read more
