Came into this shop today looking for help opening my iphones to swap sim cards, a kind gentleman by the name of Ivan helped my son and I. He could have turned us away like the individual at Boost mobile 2 doors down but instead he went out of his way to switch the sim cards for us. I was just in the store on El Cajon near 54th.. What horrible customer service.. My young neighbor needed help with her phone her Mother had recently passed away and needed to know how to switch the account into her name. We were told that her mother had to do that... We asked if the death certificate could be used to verify the switch and satisfy the security side of things. The woman behind the counter seemed extremely annoyed with our question.. She was short and snarky in her answers.. We told her we would go home to try and find her moms info...as we turned to leave... She said " oh, by the way, feel free to go to any other location"!! Ok lady... That's what we will do.. And we will switch carriers. I am 75 years old and don't understand how these phones work so pardon my ignorance.. My neighbor is technically challenged as well... After being a long time customer of at&t I decided to go the pre-paid route to save some money. I was paying $180 a month for 4 lines at at&t and with cricket I'm only paying $120 but for better coverage. The process was super simple and pain free. I simply walked in with my account number and IMEI numbers in hand and the customer service rep did the rest. The rep also waved a couple initial service fees and also waved the new SIM card fees! Their family plan is where you'll save the most money with each additional line added the savings increase. I've been having cricket service for a month or so now and I haven't noticed any hiccups or any issues at all. The service is superb and the savings it's a huge plus. Thanks cricket! read more

I went to the Cricket store right by my house located at 91st Ave. & Olive Ave. in Peoria, AZ. and a young man named Elijah helped me. I was originally looking for a new phone because there were cracks in my phone from where I had dropped it months ago. It turned out I only needed a new screen protector. The screen protector itself was cracked and not the actual phone. It was also peeling on top, causing the front camera to look blurry when I would take a selfie. It only cost me $15 to replace. He could have just sold me a new phone for $180 and I wouldn't have known the difference. He didn't even make me feel stupid for not noticing. LOL! He also put the new screen protector on for me and was extremely courteous and friendly. I absolutely appreciate this kind of professional customer service and commend this man for saving me money and saving the day. read more

I walked in on 11/15 to have my cracked iphone 5s face replaced, but I received it back with the home button not functioning. I had the associate (told his name was Jovani) take a look it again. 5 minutes later the other associate (told her name was Naomi) tell me well it's not fixable. I'm obviously frustrated, and explained to her that it makes no sense to bring something perfectly functioning and receive it not properly functioning. $70 dollars is a lot of money, at least for me, but this was not about the money. Well not only was this not a great experience, what made matters worse is how things were handled. Very, very poorly, coming from someone who has been in a customer service environment 10+ years. I felt I was lied to from the beginning to the very end. I initially walked and talked with (Naomi/Javoni) who said it would be 45 minutes to which I said no problem, I would be waiting right outside. 60 Minutes later; I walked back inside seeing (Jovani) standing around and asked it my iphone was ready, to which he stated, "Oh, let me check to see it's ready, as if someone else was working on it. 10 minutes later, the other associate told me that it's taking long because the first face he put on cracked, so he had to put another face on. I said you know what, before I get upset, I will get something to eat and come back in 30. 45 minutes later I walk back in and and wait another 10 minutes and finally get my phone. At this point, I was a little bit upset, realized that (Jovani) took his sweet time to work on the phone and completely disregarded me as a customer. After finally getting my phone back, I checked it to make sure it was good to go and that's when I realized this home button not working. After asking the associate to please take a look and fix it, I never saw him (Jovani) again. Instead (Naomi) told me we can't do anything about that and you're phone had frame damage. Very frustrated at this point, I asked where did he (Jovoni) go and how come he didn't come out and tell me. She simply told me I don't know, and that they couldn't fix my phone. She even thought it was a little funny chuckling at me after venting to her that it's extremely dissatisfactory from a customer service perspective. This was after the fact that she would not tell he his name (Javoni) and her own name because they don't do that. Extremely upset, I told the other female associate I don't appreciate this at all and hope they see from my eyes and left. In the end, I may not get my money back or even get my phone fixed by these guys again, but I can assure you that this review helps clear confusion. Store manager, please properly train your associate how to properly handle simple customer service issues and not laugh back at them while they are still in the store. As you can tell, unsatisfied and I am taking extra time out of my day to tell you about my experience. read more

Bought a new ZTE phone, asked if it was Android 6, she said "Yes" but I can't activate it until you buy it". They had no demo models that were activated so I took her word for it. So I bought it, activated it, turns out it's Android 5.1. "If you want to return or exchange it's a $25 charge". Result is their incompetence will cost you money. I'm used to cell phone stores where employees know what they're talking about, which is not the case with store. The guy working there, shift manager I presume, said "if you get a new phone you'll lose stuff from your old phone". I was surprised he didn't appear to know how to back up existing phone and restore to a new phone. Whew, get some training guys, there's more to work than just showing up, especially when it comes to technical work. read more
