Great little surprise! Wife and I went there for dinner. Huge selection of beers and wines. The red pepper hummus was fantastic! Wife ordered the Club Sandwhich which she couldn't finish it was so much...I ordered the Greek chicken and roasted Brussels sprouts. It was delicious. Service was great, seating was great and atmosphere was great. Will be returning the next time we are in Waco. read more

Food isn't very good. They have too many taps for Waco, so they rarely cycle through new beer. In turn, stale beer sits in the keg lines and long story short, most beer doesn't taste like it should. Staff has a "don't care" attitude. I go for darts and pool, and that is it. read more

It pains me to make this review. I have visited and supported this business throughout COVID. Took my family out for a late dinner, I've been to Crickets 1000 Xs the hostess seemed bothered by our arrival and walked crazy fast and sat us at a dirty booth. The initial waitress was chatting with her friends that were dinning in and so we sat there forever before she finally came up to our booth. When she took our drink order she rushed us to make a decision and was argumentative. All the waitstaff was sitting at a booth just hanging out as if they were patrons, ignoring the needs of the entire dining room. I ordered quesadillas, and my daughter ordered the Mac and cheese. My quesadilla's came out without meat, my daughter's Mac and cheese was all Mac and no cheese. I sent the quesadillas back and instead of fixing them they brought them back cold with a plate of meat. The manager on duty I guess was a guy in a black polo who only seemed to want to talk to the girls. It wasn't that they were busy and it wasn't that they were struggling, they honestly acted like we were in their way and could care less if we were pleased with our experience. It was by far the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. read more

Very nice place...good beer choices and good food. But the thing that made my visit was our waiter...Connor, he was very attentive and treated my wife and I as if we where part of his family. The beer selection here is HUGE, but most of the dark beers I wanted were out of stock which was pretty disappointing. That being said, there were so many options I can't even say that it really bothered me (I definitely recommend that you get the flight). We started off with the hummus and the brussel sprouts, both of which were delicious and something that I would order again if I am back. I ordered the commitment off of their brunch menu and it was MASSIVE. I maybe got half way through, but every single bite was great! My friends who were there with us got the peanut butter bacon burger (my cousin said it was good) and the brisket grilled cheese (much smaller than expected and probably too small for most men). I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a place with a large beer selection, a place with good food, a place with a ton of TVs, a place with lots of pool tables and shuffle boards and anyone who is really looking for more than just a good meal. Wow the food at this place has gone way down hill! Service hasn't been too far behind. My order came out wrong laying on a bed of onions which I specifically asked not be there. The waiter brought it back to me 1 minutes later and you could tell from the flavors that they just replated . The chicken still tasted like the purple onions it was originally placed on. The loaded fries were horribly and burnt and cold at the same time. Nothing that we had was good and I would have been embarrassed to serve most of it. read more

Long time customer, first time review. This place needs no introduction really, it's a long time staple of downtown Waco before the Magnolia happened and made downtown "cool"; always a decent go-to place to hang with college friends after hours, play darts, pool, and plenty of on-tap beers for the connoseurs. It was just recently I got to revisit this place with coworkers since we moved downtown so now we're just a hop, skip, and a jump away. The food is decent bar fare; they offer really good hamburgers which is what we all normally get. I like the Bleu Pig, which has Bleu cheese, bacon, and avocado. Yum. Their peanut butter and bacon burger is also a hit with my coworkers. Overall, fun place to go with coworkers, friends, and guests. Git you some! read more

We found this place by accident after our original lunch plans fell through. I must say I was very pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Montecristo and the club which were absolutely delicious. The club is probably the best I've ever had. My son ordered the peanut butter bacon burger which I actually must admit was really good even though it sounds disgusting. The atmosphere was great the games were great the service was great my only complaint is it was a little pricier than what I thought it should be. But I guess you're going for atmosphere as well but all in all I would highly recommend this place to anybody. read more

Finally found a vegetarian meal in Waco! The black bean burger quesadilla was delicious, and incredibly filling...I was only able to finish half of it. Loved the pecan ricotta cheese and the mushrooms. Didn't care for the thin shredded iceberg lettuce. To drink, I had the pecan porter. Not bad. The service was...interesting. As soon as we sat down our waitress asked if we were ready to order! Can I at least read the menu first? She was very friendly and consistently checked in with us, but it was almost too often. read more

Cricket's is probably the best place to grab a bite to eat and watch your favorite team play. There is a large variety of T.V's and great food choices! My waitress Courtney was very polite and quick to satisfy any needs that I had. She was always checking in to make sure that everyone was tasting great (which it did), and she also had great knowledge of the best beers to taste!! She's the waitress you look for anywhere you go!! Tina was the manager that was in charge during my visit and she was the sweetest!! She checked on every table making sure that they are doing well. Tons of local beer on draft. Tried multiple food items over the course of a week (3 visits) and everything ranged from "decent" to "delicious." Their battered chicken/fish is fresh and very very good. Staff is courteous and professional. I can't think of any significant criticisms. Highly recommended! read more

Crickets is a place to get a good beer. I've been coming to crickets on a weekly basis for about 6 years. Specifically to get burgers on Wednesday's with plenty of beer. However, they just got rid of their $2 burger special so it'll be a while before I go back because all I want is the freakin burgers. In other words, bring back the dang two dollar burgers. Visited because we went to spice and is was lunch time. We had the grilled Brussels and the brisket grilled cheese. Very tasty. We also had the onion rings.
