I came by here on a Wednesday morning and sat at the bar since I was dining by myself. It wasn't so busy so I got seated pretty quickly. I ordered the Garden Omelette with ham and avocado. The omelette came out as ordered. My server was Ashlyn and she was friendly and made sure my coffee was always full. I will definitely come back again to try the other menu items. I really enjoyed my experience here! From the warm, perfectly puffy beignets to the main dish, everything was delicious and exceeded my expectations. The mimosas were excellent--I tried the huckleberry flavor, which was new to me, and I absolutely loved it. I ordered the eggs Benedict with a side of their jalapeño cream cheese, and it was such a great combination. I'm someone who loves a little spice with my food, so I appreciated their house-made sauce--it added a nice kick without being overpowering. This is a local diacritics for a reason! The servers are wonderful and so is the foods the atmosphere is energized by the chatting of patrons and bustling kitchen. I wish I would have grabbed pictures, but we were in a bit of a rush. I ordered the Monte Cristo, which came with a delightful tomato soup. My children both ordered the kids grilled cheese with fries, I did taste test the fries with ranch (mom tax!) and have to say they have the best ranch I have had in a long time. My husband ordered a scramble and there wasn't a thing left on his plate! I also tried their prickly pear mimosa and it was Devine! Best pancakes on the face of this earth, you cannot convince me otherwise. Country fried steak was good too. No one at our table was a fan of their homemade root beer though. That's probably better suited for a root beer connoisseur. A little on the spendier side for a breakfast place, But definitely worth it. The service is always good the food is always better. We made a quick trip to Spokane Valley and wanted a good breakfast before we hit the road. We decided to try the crimson door. I know you shouldn't judge a place by the exterior however this just looks so fresh and clean and I love the red door. We walked in and were warmly greeted and seated in a booth. The interior was bright and warm, and felt spacious. We were given a menu and there were so many wonderful options. We want to try the French Croissant Beignet so we went with the Perfect Starter. Oh my gosh, the beignets came out, and they were warm and served with a side of vanilla mascarpone. Hint of sweetness without overpowering so good. We also ordered the senior farmhouse breakfast. This included one egg with the choice of a lemon crêpe, hotcakes, or hash browns. I elected to have a scrambled egg with a lemon crepe since we already have beignets. Great experience overall. I've been trying to stick to more whole foods lately, but decided to treat myself to breakfast here and I'm so glad I did. I asked how they cook their hash browns and was pleasantly surprised to learn they use beef tallow -- such a great touch. The omelet was delicious, perfectly cooked, and a very generous portion. My partner ordered the lemon crepe with whipped cream, and even though I'm not usually a fan of lemon, I took a small bite and was genuinely impressed -- it was amazing. Crimson Door Café is worth a trip to the valley, especially for the beignets. We arrived around 10 am on a Sunday ready to brunch and ready to wait. Luckily, it was only about a 10-minute wait before they were able to find seats for us at the bar. Since we ordered two mimosas, we were able to add 4 beignets for just a couple extra dollars. Speaking of the mimosas, the prickly pear one is great. I asked for mine a little less sweet and it was a nice balance to the champagne. My significant other had the jalapeno cream cheese eggs benedict and really liked it. I ordered the peach Danish hot cakes. It was similar to the beignets in that it came with vanilla mascarpone and powdered sugar. I think I might have overdone it with all my sugary choices, which just means I'll have to go back and try something else on the menu. Our favorite part of dining here was the servers behind the bar. They were really nice and fun to talk too. They were also very busy, so the fact that they took the time to chat with us and make a meaningful connection, really meant a lot. read more

Let's do this one BLUF style ... bottom line up front. If you haven't been here yet, ask yourself what you're waiting for! Call ahead, get a reservation, and get going because you're just moments from some outstanding food and excellent service. Go ahead, you're worth it! Just do it!!! Here's why. From the time we arrived to settling the bill on departure, everything was testimony to excellence. Simple things like a parking lot free of trash, litter and people's bad habits. Walking in the door, not so much as a muddy shoeprint on the floor. The entire facility is impressively well cleaned and obviously well cared for. The hostess made certain we found a perfect table for our Wednesday lunchtime visit. Our waiter Tony was spot-on throughout the entire service, making excellent recommendations for everything we had questions about, whether it was the soup of the day (their tomato bisque would make any Parisian chef proud, fyi) or even the gravy for the biscuits and gravy option. He knew just when to be table-side and when and how to make our meal service a memorable experience. The highlighted specials menu had a focus on all things "peach-y" and for good reason. My wife had the peach mimosa (declared to be "really yummy") with the peach cobbler crepes and pronounced them "absolutely delicious" and much better than the crepes served at that "European something" place with a couple facilities in the area. As for me, there were so many choices that a decision took literally 10 minutes to make before ordering. Everything on the menu just seemed like it would be crazy good. But, in the end, I was lured into a delicious Wagyu burger loaded up with Havarti cheese, mushrooms, carmelized onions, and a balsamic drizzle (plain ol' ketchup would have been an insult to this food!) My choices for sides were fries, soup or salad. I went with the salad and was blessed to find a bowl prepared like a feast for the eyes. But, it proved even tastier delivered on the fork. Talk about FRESH? There was a KARRRUNCH to the Romaine lettuce and a ripe, juicy flavor and texture to the tomatoes. The feta cheese crumbles added an extra dimension to the salad that could legitimately be served as a meal in itself! (And I'm not so much of a salads guy, for what that's worth!) The menu had a spectrum guaranteed to please whether you're coming for a breakfast or a lunch and every option seemed more tempting than the next! Now, for a couple observations on professional integrity to share. Being absolutely straight with their customers, they have a sign posted at the front door that announces that egg prices have caused them to downsize their omelettes from four eggs to three. That's something to be respected for its sincerity and candor. They also show their guests another bit of integrity and respect by posting their menu prices with a cash pay amount, and a "card-fee offset" amount. I found that to be fair and honest and had no qualms, whatsoever, about the pittance of a four percent fee. Finally, for my fellow veterans, if they happen to spot your military i.d. card, they have a happy little consideration for your final bill, also. Before we left, we got to meet Rick, the owner, and his son Kaston, who both shared their passion for a quality food service experience and a memorable personal commitment to excellence in every aspect. My wife and I found this place on Yelp when looking for a good brunch for our anniversary. It sounded and looked intriguing, so we made the drive from North Idaho to Spokane Valley to give it a shot. We were both so happy we did! The place looks great, even unique, and yes, it has a crimson door at the entrance. There were not many people on this day, so we had excellent service. They even gave us an anniversary treat of beignets which were the best I've tasted since Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans. We loved our breakfast and cranberry mimosas. It also has a great story on the menu that you should read. We went back for Mothers Day. Of course, it was slammed, 40 min wait and no reservations. However, it was worth the wait. We brought the whole family this time, all of us loved it. Had the Jalepño Cream Cheese Omelette with a side of hot cakes from their 100 yr old recipe. Both were amazing. The Benedict's are delicious too! Great hollandaise sauce that they make there. Service wasn't as good this time, which I guess is expected on the busiest restaurant day of the year. I came on a Sunday morning at 10 am I asked for 2 blueberry pancakes plus 1 peach I was told its to much for the cooks to do this. I have worked in Restaurant before not so sure why putting some peaches on a pancake is so hard. If thats to hard maybe you need to hire a cook who can add some peached to 1 pancake. I was going to pay what ever the cost. I come here alot and makes me not want to come. Im on a high protein diet so coming here is a treat for me. So I want to order what I want. The sweetness was well balanced and not overly sweet! And to my surprise very light! Most of their entrees you can choose a lemon crepe or hot cake! The lemon cake was light and lemony! Our group had an omelette, blueberry Dutch cakes, lemon crepe, chicken fried steak, and buttermilk pancakes. It was all really tasty with good sized portions. Jacob was friendly and had a good sense of humor. Their signature coffee was good, but if you're expecting an elevated experience, you'll have to temper your expectations. The most remarkable thing about it was no acidity and it was pretty smooth. We noticed there were quotes about their quality throughout the menu. To add a few quotes: Liam said reference the lemon crepes, "They're light, fluffy, and super delicious!" This was the third time I'd been here and I have always really enjoyed it, the Beignets are absolutely to die for and were fabulous as usual. Unfortunately I was disappointed by the chicken fried steak as it was super thin and overcooked on the edges. The gravy was over salted and broken, the hash browns were also overcooked and over peppered and had a weird oily taste. There was a mess up with seating and we waited for a server forever which a young man apologized for and owned immediately which I really appreciated. If I'd gotten his name I'd give him kudos he was very professional. He assured us the manager would be right over to take our order. When she arrived she was just another one of the servers we'd been overlooked by the whole time we were there. She said absolutely nothing about the delay or the mix up and I'd have thought the young man who had originally talked to us was the manager and he probably should be. The stories inside the menu were so unique and made the experience feel so personal. My mom and I got the Eggs Benedict and it is definitely not a traditional hollandaise. Very herby and somewhat spicy (which is okay for me but not so much for my Mom who was looking forward to something classic). Additionally, our hashbrowns were *cold* and flavorless.
