I am a huge fried chicken fan when I'm not eating healthy. I have been to several "Crispys" chicken location, and I've found them all to be fairly good! This particular crispys has a fantastic seafood and chicken assortment. The place is owned by a really sweet Asian family, and being Asian I always find their chicken to be slightly better than most American chicken restaurants... I could be biased though. ;) my fiancée loves the fact that they sell egg rolls and fried oysters when he goes to grab a family chicken meal. I love that they sell livers and gizzards, so it works for us! I haven't gotten to try their catfish, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be awesome when I get around to it. I would highly recommend calling and ordering ahead if you don't want to wait in the little dining area, they make stuff to order so it's fresh, but not quick! I've been looking for good fried catfish in Mansfield forever and I think I found it! I ordered the fried catfish dinner. It came with fries and hush puppies. The catfish was wonderful. Juicy yet crunchy on the outside. The fries were seasoned with a Cajun salt. Perfectly crispy and great flavor! The hush puppies were nothing too special but still good. The restaurant is definitely set up for to go orders only. Not much seating. But it's very clean on the inside! Our food was made fresh while we waited in the store. I would recommend calling ahead just because you have to sit and wait otherwise. I'll gladly wait for freshness though! read more

Great catfish, great price. French fries are ok, place is very small so it is more of a to go pickup than an eat in. Clean though. If you are in the area and want some really decent catfish without paying a lot this works great. read more

This place was awful! We got the fish and chips and the fish was like rubber with bad breading. Hush puppies were worse and the fries were soggy. Spent $35 on 3 meals and threw it away....yelp is usually pretty good. This time it was way off!! Find another spot for fish! read more

The fried catfish was pretty good. Fried a little softer than I'd like, but it was prepared and seasoned well. I could go without the fries and hushpuppies, though. I can see myself going back, but I wouldn't necessarily say that it's my favorite spot. I called ahead, took me 7 minutes to get there and the meal was coming out of the kitchen. We went here today for our first time. It was very good. They cook to order so everything is Fresh. The fish was very crispy. Their Cole slaw is very creamy as you'd expect at a fish fry place. We will definitely be back again. It was just a tad pricey. But again it is fish. read more

We love Crispy's. It's fast food, take out in a strip center. Keep your expectations at that level and you will be happy. We usually get the fried catfish and love it. It's lightly breaded and fried to order. The hush puppies are a little spicier than I like. Otherwise we like everything there. It's worth a try. read more

Customer service goes a long way and this business has great customer service. The fish is always hot and fresh. I haven't really tried many other things other than the fish plate. The fish plate comes with fries and hush puppy sticks - I would pass on hush puppies. The options for side items are slim, wish there were more side items available that paired with fish. read more

Pretty good fried chicken. Fried oysters are also really good. The food here is made fresh so the wait can be about 15 minutes but your order comes out piping hot. Not really the kind of place where you can sit and eat although there a few seats inside and out. Overall I'd go back if I had a craving for fried chicken or seafood. read more

My husband and I were actually on the way to chili's for chicken crispers and happened to pass by this place. We decided to eat here instead and I am so glad we did. The chicken tenders are delicious and so are the rolls! The okra was a little bit too salty for my liking but still very tasty! And to top it all off they have strawberry Fanta. I was looking for some seafood in the area and so I read the reviews on Crispy Seafood and Chicken and I was pleased with what I read so I tried it. The fish and chicken and fries were fresh and cooked to order, the hush puppies were lightly seasoned. Everything was hot and tasty and the price was right. I am a regular customer. They got me addicted to their chicken tenders. I like them spicy. The people there are very kind and the food is delicious. It's the only place I am willing to buy chicken tenders from. The meat is big, juicy, and has much flavor. If you aren't there for chicken the fried mushrooms will be a great thing to much on. The man running the place was false advertising and charged me $20 more than what I was expecting. He upgraded everything and worded what came with the meal differently than what actually came with the meal and then when we got our three mills all three of them were wrong and the french fries were not even cooked. At that point I called him I told him the french fries weren't cooked in my food was wrong and he told me there's no way that would be possible so I went ahead and cook the french fries in the oven for 12 minutes and finally they were cooked and the gentleman asked me to come in the next day which is today and he would set me up with a free meal and when I brought back most of the product he looked at it told me he would re-cook it and give me another set but the problem is all of the food was wrong so I didn't need that and when I asked for a refund he refused.We had to call the bank and make a dispute because if you buy something and you don't receive any of that product or you received the wrong product obviously that money should be returned to you so we're gonna see where that goes. The gentleman acts like he can't speak much English but it is clear he does whenever I said I was going to dispute the charge he started speaking English perfectly. read more

Came here based on other reviews. First. This is fast food. Nothing more. Don't expect restaurant quality. The spicy catfish was not crunchy nor spice. Maybe a little spice but not much. The french fries and hush puppies are frozen. Not fresh. The hush puppies were not crunchy at all. Price is right. Owner is friendly. May come back is starving for food. This was my first visit. I called out for pick up on a Sunday eve. 10 minutes before 9. I was surprised they were still open. The man over the phone was very nice. I ordered the 2 pc. fried catfish dinner (includes fries & 3 hushpuppies), and 2 shrimp since they don't have a 2 pc fish (and shrimp) dinner. My order was ready when I arrived 15 min. later. The man was still taking phone orders after 9 pm! He was very courteous. My food was hot when I arrived home, the catfish was very good although it wasn't crispy due to the styro container holding in the steam-fair enough. The fries were probably frozen type with skins, but they were very tasty. The shrimp were butterflied with a panko type (very textured) crust I think and were crispy. I was disappointed that the shrimp were (maybe pounded) flat and extremely thin, not worth $1.29 each; I've had better fried shrimp. My order was a little over $10, which I feel is a little much for fried fast food. Not sure if I'll try them again, if I do I may try the chicken. read more

I've driven by this place every day for a year and a half and never stopped by untill today. I wish I would have tried them sooner. I ordered the 3 piece catfish meal and the 4 piece chicken tender meal and a large order of corn nuggets, total, $20.86 with tax. The building was very clean, the gentleman at the counter was very polite and helpful and, the food was appropriately priced. The catfish was fantastic, I ordered it spicy and was glad I did. It was not super hot/spicy but it did lend a nice seasoned flavor that I enjoy. The chicken tenders were huge breast pieces, not your typical dry, thin planks you get at any fast food restaurant. The cole slaw was good and freshy as the cabbage was still crunchy and the fries were crispy and had a bit of seasoned salt applied. My wife and I stuffed ourselves and still had one tender and a catfish fillet left over. I will surely be going back. I think I wll try the shimp and oysters next. read more
