When you meet these people, you will feel like you are talking to your grandma and grandpa. That alone gives my review a boost. I ordered a grandma pie (of course) and a pepperoni pie. Both were very good. Both pizzas are firm and stand up nicely as you are eating. The sauce is very tasty, but there's not enough of it on the slices. Both pies could also use a bit more Italian spices. And both pies could have stayed in the oven for another 2 to 3 minutes. Parking is a bit of a headache here too. If I didnt have Google Maps, I probably wouldn't have found this place. It's on Rte 9 you say? Yes, it is. Should be easy to find, right? Well, no. If you are on the Rte 9 Southbound side, you are on the correct side. But note, you CANNOT see this pizzeria from Rte 9. There are several restaurants and stores in front of it. It is in a back row of stores next to the Rte 9 Farmer's Market. (I didn't know this farmers market existed until today.) Due to location, I think Pronto may only be known to the locals and the patrons of the Farmer's Market. And that's a shame because the pies are excellent. I ordered one plain slice and one Sicilian slice. The plain was excellent. Abundant premium mozzarella cheese, tangy sauce and flavorful Italian seasonings make this a wonderfully tasty local slice that's worth your time. The outer crust and undercarriage were both crispy and delicious. There's just a slight limpness but the slice does stand at attention with a small fold of the outer crust which also prevents the toppings from sliding off. The Sicilian slice was even better. Great Sicilian flavor with all of the aforementioned attributes mske this slice a show stopper. No limpness at all. One notable observation is for Sicilian pizza it's not thick at all. But the flavor is so good, it's forgivable. The crust is extremely crispy and unlike any Sicilian crust I've sampled in this area. But dont let this stop you from ordering one or a dozen. With the odd location, this place is the very definition of a hidden gem. They have their own way of doing pizza here but it doesn't make the pizza any worse than its competitors. Dirty tables. And the deathknell, it was completely empty. Fast forward to 2025.... the place has a new owner and a brand new dining area. And it's wonderful! The pizza is in the neopolitan style. It's crispy and flavorful. The cheese tastes premium. Great sauce. The sausage is not cut-rate. They have completely turned this place around. And the dining room had a lot of people in it enjoying the food. If you are in the Parlin area, it's definitely worth your time. So my daughter told me that I need to start rating these places. I hesitate to do so because I dont want to be compared to that other guy who in my opinion is a complete nasal drip. I review places for one reason.... out of love for the products. I love stadiums.
