One of the most expensive places for Mexican food in Santa Barbara, especially considering it is takeout only. Location is strange. I never would have found it just driving by. Saw reviews online and sought it out. A number of people were outside waiting for the orders. I placed an order quickly and opted to just order one taco to try their food for the first time. Got a pork taco. It was served on a paper plate with a few radish slices, two lemon wedges and a condiment container with very water green hot chile hot sauce. One tortilla. Flavor was good but I have had better. There was cilantro (no flavor) and the pork meat was fine but nothing special. It was better than anything other tacos I have had in the county...though pricier. Service was good though there is no place to dine here.

Tucked away by tue airport this place a is gem. They have a variety of pan dulce to choose from as well as different Mexican breakfast and lunch options. They offer breakfast all day. They have you staple items such as tacos, burritos and tortas, as well as tamales. The tamales es silicosis and flavorful and not dry. The breakfast burrito was delicious but only complaint that more meat -protein is needed. Their pan concha delicious and have both smaller and bigger size options. The service is extremely friendly and personable. This place is small and more for order and quick pick up.

Overall, this was a great experience. The staff was very friendly. The facility is in an industrial area, but brings community together. The breakfast burrito was really good however could use some additional seasoning. But that could just be my preference so please give it a try. These salsa were good. The red salsa does have a little bit of a kick, and the green salsa has a hint of sweetness to it.

This is the best hole in the wall Mexican place in Goleta, and possibly, the Santa Barbara area. The workers here are always so friendly. The prices are good, the portions are large, and the flavors are fire. The name isn't fully appropriate; while they have baked goods, it's the savory things that are the stars. Can't go wrong with their burritos or specials.

I was looking for a place to eat.And I found this little bakery. I was not really familiar with the area, but I thought I'd give it a chance. I'm so glad I did, I order an avocado egg burrito she offered adding bacon. I accepted and asked for extra crispy bacon. I was tempted by the pastries because they looked delicious. I ordered champurado and three tamales. Everything is really good. Nice portions and good flavor. Salsa was perfect. It looked clean and they are very friendly as I was acknowledged immediately. They do have some signage on a stand outfront, showing daily specials that they offer. They also have coffee for sale, sodas and chips. So if you've never been to this little place give them a try.

I came to this place, not knowing what to expect given that Mexican pan dulce is a hit or miss in California. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I bit into the soft, warm and buttery texture of each pan dulce I purchased. I was not disappointed. The service was actually really friendly and pleasant. The ambience is best described as traditional roots that satisfies the palettes of both the older/younger generation.

Excellent service. A bit pricey but that's Santa Barbara. You would think they'd cater to the locals. This stuff is fresh, elevated and made authentically. I spent a lot of money to impress the office staff. I got burritos, tortas, tamales, bread and atole. Too bad it was soooooo spicy, we had difficulty eating. Even the most seasoned pro, regretted the red salsa. I'm a lightweight, I didn't think each item would be that spicy. I mean a torta, they soaked it with spice. I couldn't even pick it out. The best was the chorizo burrito, but maybe it's because it's the only thing we could taste. 0 for the spice. The things we could eat were very good. Watch out for this one.

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch here today! Welcomed in by Ms. Juanita and Ms. Erica. So warm and gracious! This isn't just a bakery, but full breakfast and lunch items. I went with the trip tip sandwich, which was loaded with goodness!! Put this on your next lunch outing. Better yet, pick up a box of baked goods for your next family or work event!! Thank you ladies! While driving back from Pismo Beach to L.A. we asked SIRI for "The Best Sandwiches in Santa Barbara" - It took us to Cristino's - Now, it's weirdly out of the way in some industrial park... but don't be fooled. FIND IT! It's so small it doesn't even have a table and chairs for you to eat. But... the sandwiches are to DIE for. WTF do they put in the bread? Crack? It's AMAZING. Will stop back here any time I travel. Keep up the good work and spread the word. P.S. their pastries are out of this world as well (we were given free samples!) read more

Great food and great prices. They use family recipes and make everything in-house, even the bread. We especially like their tamales and the in-house made red and green sauce. Their prices are beyond reasonable. Please try them they have a bakery too with yummy sweets. read more

Consistently fantastic. The owner is always incredibly pleasant and customer oriented. She is always positive and friendly which is a great way to start the day. This is my go-to place for the best breakfast burrito or burrito bowl in the area (at any price point). Very good portion size value. Everything always tastes fresh. Even though it is made to order, our orders take less than 5 minutes. The pastries are also fantastic. My favorite are the little round cream cheese ones and also the almond croissants. Keep up the good work. If driving through, they are also close off the freeway. read more

Happened upon this little spot by accident! And definitely plan to stop in again when in the area. Not only is the staff extremely nice and helpful but the food is literally outstanding!! Tucked away in a tiny retail strip next to a weed dispensary (!?) and a fish/aquarium store, this place is a hidden gem. There's a nice array of Mexican pastries, but I only had the almond croissant -- which I think about longingly from time to time. I've tried pastries at standard bakeries in Goleta, but I like Cristino's best for the quality and value, and for the lack of pretension. read more

We paid $40 dollars for 4 sandwiches that were absolutely awful. The chicken and turkey was definitely frozen and thawed out. It had no flavor and was actually like eating cardboard. Wanted to like this hole-in-the-wall bakery-plus-taqueria, but it was a miss for me. Lovely people, but terribly disorganized and poor communication. They held my order waiting to ask me a question even though I had placed my order at the counter and was standing at the door... I guess they were confused and thought it had been a phone order? An order that should have taken 5 minutes took over 20. And the order was wrong on several counts. read more

Tried Cristino's for the first time today and I'm glad I did! I got a breakfast burrito and it was delicious. It's probably one of the better breakfast burritos I've had in SB. The salsas they have really complemented the burrito. The staff was friendly and very helpful with their recommendations. I also had to make an adjustment on my order ten mins after ordering and they were accommodating. On the weekends and during busy hours, I recommend calling in your order. read more

Best little place in town! The Mexican food is authentic, with the best fresh pan dulce for dessert. Great service, all friendly. This is a hidden gem in Goleta. I've been going to Cristina's bakery for about 8 months now and not once have I been disappointed. I'm a man of habit so I have only tried about 6 thinks on their menu but everything is DELICIOUS. Everything is well seasoned and the meat is tender. I've come here for lunch and breakfast specials. Most of my orders are sandwiches and have prove to be very delicious every time I visit. All fresh ingredients. I had seen its various locations (Isla Vista, Santa Barbara's Mesa and Goleta) and always wanted to check it out; yet leave it to my sister from out of town to introduce me to it. Twice she has ordered take-out sandwiches at lunch time for us. Their sandwich menu is nutso with 36 creations to choose from, including several that are vegetarian. Of course, the options are endless if you choose to build you own! I went with the #14 (a turkey BLT) and #2 (turkey and cheese) which are simply basic yet tasty. I have no idea what they do to their bread but is addicting. Slight crunch on the outside, yet soft to the squeeze and full of gummy flour flavor! All of the ingredients appear fresh and nothing special--which I appreciate when I want a deli sandwich. I love the fact that you can purchase your sandwich in a variety of sizes including a "mini" for if you need a snack to hold you over and not a full meal. I also think of children, those who are on a lower carb diet, who have had bariatric surgery, or are limiting portion sizes. I personally go for a "small" sandwich. However, if you want to go all out, choose the "medium" or "family" size. Even better, if you're hosting a party, order a three to ten foot long sandwich (requires a day's notice). I will be back to check out the actual place--third time's a charm they say. I've heard both their chicken salad and tuna salad are both delicious. That's next up! P/S: According to Yelpers, they do not accept the Check-In Offer for a free soda with a sandwich purchase. They should really remove this from their Yelp page... Note: Only the Milpas location offers chicken sandwiches, burgers, french fries and chicken nuggets. Note squared: They charge more for credit card payments. Finally, upon asking for a refund of $37.56 - $36.38 = $1.18, the manager actually yelled at me, saying that this 3% credit card charge is "commonplace". This is bullshit untrue across the country, as we all know (especially if not told in advance). Thus, long story short, this store simply aims to earn as much money from consumers as possible, even if this means overstepping the bounds of ethics.

This place is just incredible. Best birria in Santa Barbara by a long shot -- they only have that on weekends though. Best breakfast burrito in the whole 805. A bold claim, I know.
