I purchased a Levante from these guys. Their prices are very fair if you understand the Maserati market. This is a niche product so dont expect the massive resources that are behind Mercedes, BMW or Audi dealers. Maserati is something very special but requires a certain amount of patience and open-mindedness to truly enjoy their product. Several other posters here appear to be disappointed because their expectations were not appropriate for a small production, small sales numbers product. Further research might have provided a more realistic understanding of the brand and its products. For my part, I have had my Levante Granlusso for 5 years since new, with no issues and just regular maintenance. It came fully loaded with all the bells and whistles including supple real leather - most mercedes have fake leather, and a turbocharged V6 which sounds deep and sonorous. Some people complain it doesn't have various things but mine does - it's up to the customer to do their research. These guys only sell a small number of these cars, so it's unfair to expect your salesperson to be an expert in all the details of every model. They are not selling ten of those cars a day. You should really go in knowing more about the specifics of what you want than they do. As for service, they don't have a fleet of loaners available and given the small sales its not really reasonable to expect that. Ferrari dealers dont have a fleet of loaners either - check out Ferrari of Washington if you don't believe me. I think one time they gave me a ride home in a Ford F-150. Getting service if you live some distance away can be a challenge and expect about 24 hours realistically. Thinking they will return your car in an hour isn't realistic. Also service is expensive, partly because its a niche business and the parts are not cheap. Altogether Criswell do a great job in the Maserati space compared to other Maserati dealers and I have dealt with several other dealers, including in Sterling, Tysons, Greenwich, Long Island and Manhattan, so I speak from experience. CRISWELL MASERATI, GERMANTOWN, MD UPDATE: Adding to review on 8/10/26. Found out from maserati extended warranty company that my warranty from criswell maserati wasn't cancelled until 7/1/26. I canceled this warranty with financial manager krystie on 5/6/26. Unbelievable. Maserati extended warranty company should have told me this information when I reached out to them on 7/6/26. I didn't know until 8/11/26, when premium care specialist teresa from maserati extended warranty company called me on 8/11/26. This means that teresa from the warranty company strung me along from 7/6/26 - 8/11/26. She apologized to me over the phone on 8/11/26 for providing the wrong information and that the dealership did not receive the funds yet. It wasn't the wrong information it was an outright lie and she strung me along for 5 weeks now and continued to lie on 8/11/26, saying that the finance dept within the extended warranty company will be shut down for the month of August because they are out of the country. Really? What business shuts down a whole department for a month? Then she said that I should receive my refund check somewhere around October or November of 2026. I asked her to provide this information in an email. Of course, she didn't provide everything she told me over the phone on 8/11/26. I think the dealership and maserati extended warranty company are both at fault for not producing my refund. I would not recommend anyone purchasing an extended warrant from Criswell Maserati, Germantown, Md, if you have to cancel it at a future date. read more

And get this, they make you pay for their credit card service fees at what is a high end car dealership where repairs run in the thousands. Absolutely the Worst Repair Experience I've Ever Had As a car collector, I've worked with many repair shops over the years--but this one has been, by far, the worst experience I've ever had. I have never written a review before, but this situation deserves attention. I brought my vehicle in for a specific issue: a loss of power that was not only frustrating, but dangerous, especially when entering traffic. Instead of addressing the problem I reported, they focused on unrelated services. I had to bring the car in three separate times, and each time, they either ignored the issue or came back with excuses that made no sense--like blaming "low fuel" the first time, even though the issue happened again with a full tank. The third time, they said the oil was "slightly off," but the real issue remains unsolved. I was also asked insulting questions like whether I was pressing both pedals at once, and they demanded proof of an oil change at 5k miles--which I provided. They also told me a mouse brought dog food into the front trunk and they just left it there. The car was returned extra dirty, and despite my warranty covering towing, I had to fight to get the bill paid--even though they told me which tow service to use. After three visits, no resolution, and a laundry list of frustrations, I can confidently say I will never return to this shop and strongly advise others to look elsewhere if you want your concerns actually heard and your car properly repaired. 330k and less than 2 years old Terrible and Rude read more

I had an abysmal experience dealing with this Maserati dealer. I contacted the dealership on August 15, 2024 regarding an advertised used BMW 760Li. Karifa Mara got back to me the next morning and informed me that the car was sent to a BMW dealer to get some recalls completed so he did not have access to the car to answer my multiple questions and information requests. After I made sure they did plan to retail the car given its age and complexity of repairs if anything was needed, I offered to put in a deposit to secure the car while we vet the specifics. It was a reasonable suggestion given that the car was not at the dealership and I had multiple questions and information that I required to have as a remote buyer (I am a hobbyist collector). Karifa informed me that a NON-refundable deposit could be the only option and cautioned me that if I decided not to proceed, the deposit would be forfeited. This should have been my first clue that this dealership is an unethical operation, as non-refundable deposits are not even technically legal, especially as no paperwork was yet presented nor any specifics (including price) agreed upon. We decided to wait until the car returned to the dealership. Days went by and I kept asking for information, such as the inspection report, service reports (such as the RO performed at the dealership to return the car), and specifics about their fees and payment. Karifa was nice and friendly but he was as slow as a snail in getting the information over. Finally, on Friday, August 23, Karifa informed me that the car was back at their dealership. I asked for pictures and videos, and a proforma PO and specifics, and all I got was wire transfer info, and later on, a few poorly taken pictures trickled in, and a video (after I asked again) without audio where Krifa supposedly went over the car's flaws audio-visually. Anyway, I told Karifa to get the PO over and asked my accountant to handle the specifics. At that point, I was told the dealership charges a 3% fee for credit card deposits and there is also an $800 bogus fee added to the purchase price. I offered a very reasonable compromise purchase price and asked Karifa to get his GSM's OK before proceeding. I did not hear anything back until I pinged Karifa, and he got back to me on Monday, August 26, saying the car was available and that we could proceed. I did not hear again for hours and pinged him again, at which point he told me the car just got sold to a local buyer. This was EXTREMELY disappointing and unprofessional. I don't think Karifa was involved, but his manager or GSM must have been, and, to me, this sort of business conduct is very unprofessional and unethical. I was strung along for 10+ days, and in the end, there was no courtesy extended to me to give me the first right of refusal, given the amount of time invested at my end. My recommendation would be to stay absolutely away from this dealership, and any other dealership under the Criswell umbrella, given the unprofessionalism and unethical approach in handling my business. read more

I live 1000 miles away. Found the car of my dreams here at Criswell. Flew in and drove the vehicle home (1000 miles). During the drive home I noticed the wheel alignment was off. Called the dealer, spoke with my sales person over and over again about the alignment. Decided to speak with the sales manager and he said go to my nearest dealer, he would take care of it. Went to nearest dealer and manager would not pay or compensate for the alignment. Notice many scratches and sunroof issues as well. I'm not a complainer and I'm not picky, but I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. Even if they had the vehicle of your dream, be patient and go elsewhere. This is the absolute worst dealership to work with. I have been texting back and forth for the last 3-4 days with one of the sales agents (Nan Wong) about a new lease on my maserati. After trying to negotiate on the price, she texts me "if you want that price great, if not, I am done with the back and forth with you." Copy or text is attached. What kind of bullshit customer service is that - "I am done with the back and forth with you." I have a right to ask questions when it's a $90,000 car. If she doesn't feel the need or have the patience to answer clients questions, then she should go find another job. Maybe in some kind of fruit market where she's negotiating the price of potatoes. I only have experience with two Maserati dealerships (here and one in MA) but I far prefer this dealership for service compared to the one in MA. First off, Anthony is the man. He goes out of his way to communicate effectively and won't overcharge you for things. I actually save about $200 per oil service here compared to the one I have been to in MA. Also, the turnover for service here is faster. This is my go to Maserati dealership in the DC metro area for service and I'd definitely purchase my next Maserati here if I decide to buy another one and I remain in the area. read more

One of the bigger Maserati dealers I've been to. In terms of vehicles, they had a pretty wide variety in new and used for Maserati and Alfa Romeos. It's located behind the Honda dealer, all the way to the back, but it's fairly easy to get to. Not a ton of parking, but there's few customer spots open in front of the main entrance. I went here with a friend to check out a 2013 Maserati I found online. I was referred here through my loan company and the ratings were pretty high on Google, so I had my hopes up. Facilities were kept clean, show room looked like it's taken well care of. I got to test drive the car i was interested in without much hassle. Got a nice stroll around the neighborhood and even got to kick it into sport mode; was fun for sure. Unfortunately didn't get to close out on a deal due to differences in price. This dealer in my opinion is firm and won't budge from their sticker price, while there are others that are a bit more flexible. Sadly the difference in car value prevented us from going forward. I just felt based on Kelly Blue Book and few other dealers I've been to, the car for the year & mileage wasn't worth the approximate $5000 over local competitors. Maybe others will have a better shot at getting a car they are interested. Check this place out for sure. read more

I asked a specific question to the service department and received and email that seemed as if it was computer generated. Stopped by with a friend to test drive the new Alfa Romeo 4c. My buddy was seriously considering purchasing this vehicle, so he scheduled an appointment for a test drive ahead of time. When we showed-up, the salesmen did not seemed interested in acknowledging us, and we had to track down someone to help ourselves. Once the test drive commenced, my friend only got to take the car out for about 5 minutes, before being asked to come back to the dealership. When I inquired about a test drive, I was told that only a single sales associate was qualified to take the 4C out on test drives, and he was busy with another customer, and in any rate, "unless I was prepared to buy the vehicle that day, that they don't allow tire-kickers". Overall, the experience we had at Criswell Maserati of Germantown was overwhelmingly negative. Maserati might be premium brand, but their sales staff leaves much to be desired. read more

This place is absolutely horrible. Do not purchase your vehicle from here. My sales rep was amazing, but everything after that has been terrible. They came to pick up my vehicle for my annual maintenance and gave me a loaner. Before they arrived I asked the rep how long will it take, she told me about an hour (which is normal). The driver came to pick up my vehicle at 10:45am. I got a call from them at 5pm stating that my vehicle service has been completed and they'll return it in the morning. When I asked why not today, she replied and told me because the drivers have all left and they close at 6pm. So I asked why I wasn't told that earlier. The replied and said "thats why you were given a loaner" and that they got busy. Considering the amount I paid for a car, I and extremely appalled bye their poor service. Never had this issue with my Mercedes. I will absolutely go to Tysons or another location in the future. So disgusted. read more

On June 12 at 7:04 pm, I was driving home in a 2019 Levante GranSport with 104 miles and absolutely excited. I purchased this car from Criswell Maserati in Germantown, Maryland. The staff was professional, courteous, and accommodating. This experience was the complete opposite from the experience that I painfully endured from Maserati of The Main Line, Devon, PA. At Maserati of the Main Line, I am still confused as to what happened! In their inventory, there was a 2019 Levante Basic for 57,900. I went through Maserati Finical because I wanted to take advantage of their 1.9 interest rate. Unfortunately, it went south from there. So, I was told that I was approved for a Tear 2 at 4 percent APR. I was told that I needed to leave a deposit but was never told how much to put down during a 4 hour period of waiting. I initiated phone calls to the salesmen to understand the status of my loan. I was hassled about putting an unspecified amount of money down. This seemed like a stall tactic to not sell me the vehicle. Neither Rick (the salesperson) or Chase (finance manager?) never communicated to me the terms of the loan. Howbeit, they ignored me and devalued my consumer ability. Therefore, I went to Criswell Maserati and purchased an amazing 2019 Levante GranSport with 100 miles and no money down! And because of their amazing service, my car was Cilajet, completed paperwork, car detailed, oriented (professionally) on the warranty, purchased premaintaince plan -all in less time than the conversation took at Main Line where I left with no car, nothing! Oh, I still haven't heard from a salesperson (24 hours later). This was a HORRIBLE experience. This review is two fold, 1, I thank God for a better car from a great place (Criswell) at a great price. 2, My hope is that Main Line management actually reviews these comments and provide better service for everyone who comes looking for a car,for any car. read more

This dealership has a stellar sales staff, but the service department is a complete mismatch with the profile of the brand. My limited edition GranTurismo sustained deep paint damage while under their care and despite an initial promise to provide a fix, it's been more than 6 weeks with no resolution and they stopped answering communications altogether. I don't know at what level I should expect proper representation of the brand, but with the amount of money I spent on this car, there is no reason for them not to fix this issue. read more

Bad experience at Criswell Maserati in Germantown Maryland.. I made an appointment on the phone with service advisor name Max on June 25 and made sure that he had a clear understanding that I had one hour spend at the service department to check out my Maserati Ghibli for a service light which came on 3-4 weeks after a scheduled maintenance service and he promised that I would be out in less than an hour. I arrived at Criswell Maserati and checked in with max the same day @2pm and he again assured me that I would leave in 30 minutes or so because it was most likely a sensor that had not been reset by the technician...I waited for one hour and realized that my car was NOT even touched and was told that technician is busy doing a test drive and they'll get to my car soon. I called the sales manager and informed him of my bad experience but he said that he was not in charge of service department and apologized about it and said that he would look into it. I left the dealership and wasted two hours of my valuable time and didn't get the issue resolved! It is clear to me that Criswell Maserati dealership has No Respect for people's time and I will NOT be purchasing or leasing another automobile from the Criswell automotive group ever again. MY ADVICE -- AVOID - VERY DISAPPOINTING SALES TACTICS -- They advertised a very affordable lease for an entry level model -- and they confirmed over the phone that they would beat $599/month, 36 month lease, with $5,000 down -- sounded great - drove all the way there from DC. Test drove the car - was great -- told the dealer what we wanted (which really reconfirmed everything I had said earlier). Suddenly, the quote came to me for over $900 a month! What I say? This can't be. Yes, because the original offer was for 5,000 miles per year (NEVER discussed with me - ridiculous) and even though it was $5,000 down, there was another $5,000 plus in other expenses (that to me now means $10K-$11K down). OUTRAGEOUS -- you can tell I'm a little annoyed -- largely because it was so unnecessary and such a waste of time. Tell me the real terms up-front and stop wasting my time. If I can do it or we're in the ballpark, great - if not, no hard feelings. Anyway I don't find this to be ethical - you decide for yourself. This sets a bad tone for the dealership. This is the first review I have ever written, but my experience was so incredulous I absolutely would not want anyone else to endure this type of behavior. This is our families third Maserati and this was by far the worse experience I have ever had at any dealership. The entire service team has turned over and the new team does not provide the same level of service that one would expect from a Maserati dealership. The service manager was patronizing and unprofessional. Under his tutelage the team did not deliver as expected or promised. I will never return to this dealership. However, our experience was simply so overwhelmingly awesome, we left with the car of our dreams. We'd been searching for a month and visited many dealerships but as soon as we were greeted by our salesman, Karifa, we knew things would be different. Very nice dealership, called me several times to follow up on my interest (after I had called them) and never relented until they found the car I was looking for in the end. Financing was easy, Anastasia and George were terrific both together and apart and each was cordial and made the process that much easier. This was a "zero pressure" dealership, rather guiding you to assist you. They both realize that their cars are high-dollar items and their customers are picky at times. I will admit that I am and them some, so to they end they not only took additional photos, but shot a special video to ensure that I was getting what I was paying for, which they did not have to do. They exceeded all expectations for car sales. FedEx'd finance documents the next day, with a return envelope inside (nice touch) and made it all quite simple and painless. Service was terrible! If looking for a car you get Great Service, but if you have some warranty work done they care less about you! My wife has a Maserati from this place! We was shopping in DC and ran into a nasty pothole and bent the rim! She calls to inform them what happened, because she has insurance on Rims and tires. She tells them we are not far from dealership and would like to drop off car to be fixed, because we live on the Eastern Shore and didn't feel comfortable driving car back to get it fix! She asks for a loaner car and they tell her they can't help her, because all loaners where gone. Instead of let me see what we can do for you! So she. Is paying all this money for a Maserati and they send her home in a Nissan Versa! So if a famous athlete or actor, political figure Etc, showed and the same thing happens to them! I tried to get 2 tires replaced at several "independent" exotic car mechanics and they all had prices of over $1000 for the tires and installation. I went to Criswell Maserati and though there is always a stereotype that the dealerships will always try to take advantage of you (which is why I tried independent mechanics first), the manager at Criswell, James Pollack, put on 2 pirelli tires for $850, saving me about $200. read more

I found one vehicle that they have and I really liked it, trying to get a hold on the finance situations since they dont work with capital one which what I got pre-approval for. I been trying to get all the documents that they asked for, but things just couldn't go as smooth as I thought it would be. Alberto Zamorano is my salesman, he was nice and helpful at first, but when things got a little complicated with the paper works, he turned out and give me a very rude text saying "i need to do what I supposed to do, if you want my help" (which he talking about the paper works, but i couldnt have it right away, I have to email my claim adjuster to get it, and they didn't) Can you believe that? he's a salesman talking to a customer trying to get a car after Harvey's flood that F*** my life, my house and my cars up, I got enough sh*t to deal with and now I have to deal with a most disrespectful salesman that I ever seen. He didn't even apologize for what he said and he got alot more rude texts saying I'm draging my feet. Abiola was the best salesman I have ever worked with when purchasing a new vehicle. We had communicated for a little over two weeks to try and come up with the perfect vehicle. Abiola found that car on a Saturday for me....the only problem was I had a previous engagement that had been planned that afternoon and I live in Baltimore! Abiola to the rescue!!!! He offered to handle all the paperwork and drive the car up to me in Baltimore. We finished everything over the phone at 1pm and I had a new car delivered to me by 6pm.
