We had a mouse infestation in out Incline Village cabin. This outfit is a SCAM. We hired them for a mouse infestation in Incline Village clean up and control. We came 3 time to check the place AFTER they said the place was under control and they were done cleaning. The beds were full of urine and feces. The kitchen cabinets were full as well. We paid over $14000 to get the place livable again, and the mouse kept coming. They were suppose to find all the entry point but mouse kept coming in. At the end they wanted more money, even though the contact say that they guarantee for a year. We asked to keep all the doors close and the last time they came they left everything open so the mouse could move around the house freely. Photos are the bed and the kitchen floor AFTER they said they were done cleaning. BEWARE! Use a more reputable outfit. All my reviews on Google were 5 star. Called to make an appointment for Friday November 15, 2024 at 10 AM. After numerous calls to find out when the inspector would arrive they finally told me after 3 PM that the inspector was sprayed by a skunk and could not come out. They suggested to reschedule for Saturday Nov 16th a between 12-2. We agreed to the time. On Saturday noon passed and zi texted the company to confirm the appointment and received confirmation. After 2 PM I texted again but never received a text or call back. It is now Monday November 18th at 10 AM and still no response. Avoid this company. Absolutely no customer service! read more

A few days later still no email. Apparently they don't want my business and can't do the courtesy of telling me so and not wasting my time. Not professional. Can't recommend. Justin was thorough, personable, and very knowledgeable about my problem (one or more very pesky chipmunks causing a lot of problem in a shed and tearing up the insulation for nesting material); and he answered all of my many questions about chipmunks and other pests, and shared some of his encounters with pests. He also recommended certain traps. Through the inspection, which included going in the crawl space, he located two entry points and secured those and then did a thorough cleaning in the shed. Awful company! Don't make the mistake I did of giving them money for a HACK job! Where do I begin? It was the most awful experience I've encountered. I feel like I experienced elder abuse as well as thievery. They stole money from me and did nothing to remedy my problem. Worst company I've ever dealt with. They ended up costing me thousands of dollars to undo the damage and destruction they did to my home. For anyone reading this, PLEASE do not use this company!! I contacted them for a mice infestation in my home. A rep came out to do an inspection of where mice were getting in and potential other areas they could enter from. He made strong recommendations on what was needed, gave a good pitch, then told me how much everything would cost (roughly $1,550). Said I needed to get this done right away to avoid them having babies, which they do frequently. After I paid, I was told I'd receive a call within the next hour to schedule their tech to come out. That call didn't come until 2 hours later. We agreed upon a date and I was given a two hour window, which is normal. I received a text sometime that morning saying a tech could be at my house within the hour. I was at another appointment and didn't see the text until I received another text saying the tech was at my house but no one was home. I text them about my originally scheduled time. Apparently they'd cancelled that appointment and sent the tech earlier. It didn't matter that I never responded to the first text to authorize them to come, nor did I confirm a change to the original appointment. Subsequent appointment were made and the techs always arrIved after the scheduled timeframe, or rescheduled. They've never checked the mice traps they set out and I still have the traps inside my home. In my contract was the replacement of a garage door strip. They came out to replace it but had ordered the wrong strip and had to reorder. it finally came and an appointment was scheduled with the typical timeframe. They contacted me wanting to reschedul. I gave them the days that worked for me and timeframes. we agreed on a day and timeframe. I told them I had an appointment later that afternoon and what time I needed to leave my house in order to make my appointment. If they were on time that shouldn't have presented a problem. True to form they began making changes and not being able to commit to the timeframe given. I was given a new estimated arrival time which would have presented me When they asked to change the day to two days before Christmas I said that would not work as I had family coming in and would be running back and forth to the airport. I also told them I was done with them. I received a text from the tech saying he'd refer me to his supervisor. He texted me later that his supervisor, Sal would be contacting me the next day. Never got that call or text. Save your money! They obviously don't know how to run a business based on integrity, professionalism, and good old fashioned good customer service and care. read more

Critter Bros contacted me via Angi to set up an inspection at our house in the SF Bay Area. We talked to about a dozen contractors and their tech was among the most personable and patient in explaining what they noted and the services they could provide. While we had initially started this process based on seeing a mouse in our house a few months prior and our priority of getting rid of anything that would attract rattlesnakes to our property, Critter Bros was the only contractor to 1) note the presence of bat guano on a few of our walls (confirmed by everyone we talked to about that afterwards), 2) have the qualifications for bat approval work, 3) claim to be able to work on our steel tile roof type, and 4) promise to provide work that would exclude both rodents AND bets. Most importantly to us, we were promised that their services would include technicians sealing all entry points on our roof and the second-story eaves since our roof has a void between the outer metal shingle layer and the existing wood shake the shingles were installed on top of. Their quote was a bit higher than the others we received, but they assured us that their work would eliminate and exclude both bats and rodents, so it seemed worthwhile. We signed the agreement and were happy with our choice. After the first visit, we realized that nobody had even gotten on the roof as promised. I was home all day and in an upstairs room, so I definitely would have heard the sound of a grown man walking on the roof - I can hear a squirrel running across that thing. Instead, they simply sprayed some neon orange foam gap filler at a half dozen seams, installed a couple bat funnels and a few plastic anti-bat spike strips (puncturing our downspouts in the process), and replaced our existing garage sweep (which had a small gap on either end) with a new sweep that left even larger gaps and could be pushed in by any animal even in the center part that actually touched the ground. They did not install the wire mesh in the large gaps as discussed, did not install the 8ft garage sweep on the third garage bay (since we told them during the initial walkthrough that that door couldn't open regardless), and most importantly didn't do any work whatsoever on the roof. When I reached out to ask about the roof and whether we could get an itemized invoice to determine deductions for the work that wasn't done or was never needed, those requests were ignored in favor of claiming that the roof work WAS done, the techs just forgot to take photos of any of it.. even though they took thorough photos from every angle of the work they did do. Sure. They promised that the techs would take photos of their roof work when they returned, which was a pretty blatant way to give them time to do that work the second time they came out rather than just admit that the work wasn't done as promised. The deductions for unnecessary or poorly done work was never even considered. When the techs (who are awesome by the way, they're only working with the awful instructions they've been given) returned to remove the funnels, they found rats in the traps that were placed in the garage attic, proving that the concerns Critter Bros had dismissed in favor of upselling us to bat work were valid. At no point were the techs ever instructed by the office team to go on the roof and fill any gaps, not even the ones visible from ground level that the initial salesperson and I pointed to during the first walkthrough. Of course, nobody reached out regarding the trapped rats. I had to email them, and only after providing a deadline to respond did they get back to me claiming that they did not receive the first email (it was sent to the scheduler I'd been working with the whole time and the owner of this company) and that they have no idea what rats I'm talking about. At this point, I strongly doubt that I will ever get the promised work actually completed. If the Nevada contingent of this company wants to reach out and let me know how they can make this right, I'm all ears. I have given this local office more than enough chances to be honest and diligent about their work, and instead of offer to refund me for work they didn't do, they just keep gaslighting me about what is or isn't needed to control pests at our house, gaslighting me about what work was even performed on previous visits, and sending these poor dudes out to perform more unnecessary work concocted in a clumsy attempt to justify the initial inflated costs. At the end of the day, we are out more than $3k and our house is not any better protected from rodents than it was on day one. With the punctured downspouts and awful garage sweep, we are likely worse than when we started. Unless this is addressed soon we will just recover those costs through small claims. read more

I accidentally trapped a skunk in my varmint trap while trying to capture a Possum that was tearing up my lawn. I was referred to the Critter Bros through the website "Stockton Wildlife Animal Control." The service said they could have someone out that day by 2:00pm. By 3:00pm, no show. So I called them and they said that their inspector was sprayed by a skunk, so they had to reschedule for 3 days later. (Suspiciously the same excuse they used on a previous rating.) I was told they would send another inspector that day between 5 & 6pm, but that they would need to email me an invoice that I needed to pay online before they would schedule him. The price quoted was $450. I was desperate so I agreed. But after searching their reviews and spotting the exact same excuse, I smelled a scam. I just decided to brave up and throw a tarp over the trap and release the skunk myself. Problem solved. Avoid this company at all costs. read more
