You can feel the hospitality the moment you walk in. The menu has a really good variety, so there's something for everyone. The tacos are excellent -- full of flavor and consistently done right. The curry chicken salad is absolutely delicious -- fresh, well-balanced, and packed with flavor. And the salmon salad is just as good -- light but satisfying and perfectly prepared. Restrooms are single use (one men and one women) and they were stocked well and clean. Food was delicious and the servings were a good size. We split a Chow Benedict and the Churro French Toast. They were nice enough to split the dishes for us without extra charge. The flavors were good and it was great that the hollandaise sauce was not drowning the dish. We eat at Eat Chow pretty often and I'm sure I've tried almost everything. My favorite things are: the crispy cauliflower, any of their tacos, I used to like their salmon burger but recently they changed their menu. I like their miso salmon bowl and Mediterranean bowl those are both nice additions that don't feel super heavy but healthy and filling. The spicy sausage pasta is also a favorite from friends, it's medium spice not super spicy. The truffle fries are also crispy and a good appetizer. The only thing I'd skip is their fig and Brie panini it's just okay. I love that they use moongoat coffee. My favorite latte is their cookie butter latte so good! The streets were jam packed on July 4th weekend and the lot was nearly full. We somehow managed to get the last parking spot though! There was a little bit of seating outside and inside for those waiting for a table, which I really appreciate since I broke my leg a few months ago. The staff seemed nice enough too. Parking at the Newport location is challenging, small lot and a dead end without enough room to turn around so upon leaving you will need to back out of the aisle to the street. We came here since we were given a giftcard. While the food was great the service was so subpar it left us feeling like never coming back despite the yummy food. We were left waiting for over 30 minutes at our table with no service. We also had to give our drink order 3 times. Our waters were never refilled once. When it came time to pay the bill we were ignored for so long we had to go up to the counter to ask to checkout. They sent us back to our table and made us wait even longer. When they finally took our bill they left it up front and continued to seat other people and not check us out. When it came to actually checking us out she ran our card and not the giftcard. There was no apologies for any of this and we were made to feel like we were in the inconvenience. With the prices of things today I would not recommend spending your money here when I could better service at the local McDonalds read more

I was so excited to come here and was sadly (and hugely) disappointed. There was practically no visible wait staff or any staff at all for the first 20-25 minutes we were there. We seated ourselves and were approached by a server about 10 minutes later. The server seemed about excited about their job as a rock that's never moved. My boyfriend's "bbq" burger was more like burger buns with salad between them and a very questionable sauce that we couldn't place the flavor of (but was definitely NOT bbq). My shrimp tacos had about 2 pieces of shrimp per taco and again, a huge salad on top. Both dishes lacked a lot of flavor. As we continued our stop here, the wait staff was very very quiet and cold, yet we watched the manager seat friends of his and chat them up for half of the time we were there. They got seated immediately, treated to wine, and got their food relatively faster than we did and two other tables near us did (both of which had been there before us). This place is a bit of a tourist trap, which is sad because with just a bit more attention to detail and nicer servers, this place could be great.
