Such a good spot for breakfast/brunch, they have a variety of savory and sweet options. We tried the savory options and thought they were delicious. The food is well priced for the portion is good. You're able to grab reservations in advanced. The restaurant is fairly small with some seating indoors and a small outdoor seating area. They only have a few parking spots out front and there's street parking. ig: @cravingswithcat

Food was delicious! Love that they are seed oil free. Probably the crispiest breakfast potatoes I've ever had. Burrito was loaded with ingredients and paired so well with the salsa. Service was splendid as well, can't wait to be back!

Came to this location for the first time with my friends for brunch and it was great! FOOD: The food was really good! We got the loaded tater tots for an appetizer and they were really good! My friend and I shared the Steak and eggs and got a side salad and that was delicious!! For drinks, my friend and I shared the Mimosa sampler which was really good as well. I definitely recommend the mimosa flight, but my favorite was the El Corazon Mimosa from the four we tried. SERVICE: Our server was very nice and friendly! AMBIANCE: Very casual setting, but nice and clean! Only feedback is that parking is very limited and the lot is tiny! But there is street parking

Love that they went seed oil free! Salted caramel iced latte was tasty. Delicious breakfast. Short rib tostada was sooo good. Hubby loved the breakfast burrito with house made chorizo. We fought over the churro French toast!! Friendly server. Went on a Tuesday morning and it wasn't busy. Would definitely go back!!

We were here at 1:00pm on a Sunday and could only order from the brunch menu that was 80% breakfast. I got the shrimp tacos with sauce & pico de gallo on the side. It was good but the sauce was spicy. My man got the Mexican Benedict. He said it was savory, unusual and good. Our friends got The Burger and chilaquiles. They enjoyed them. We all shared the cheesy tots which were amazing!

One of the best and freshest meals I've had. Ordered the vegetarian tostadas and they are loaded! If you want a true culinary experience for an amazing price this is the place. Both food and staff are on point and the place has a relaxing vibe. Coming back again!

Stopped by Eat Chow in Dana Point and it was a great find. Fresh and casual spot with pleasant service. We ordered the Mediterranean Bowl and "THE" Burger. The bowl came with herbal chicken, avocado, olives, feta cheese, chickpeas, and brown rice. The feta and olives a bit salty. As a dish, bright, balanced, and fresh though! "THE" Burger was juicy with bacon and came with a Caesar salad on the side. Quite a heavy burger if you've got an appetite. Both dishes felt thoughtful and well made. A comfortable, easy place to grab a tasty casual meal.

The streets were jam packed on July 4th weekend and the lot was nearly full. We somehow managed to get the last parking spot though! There was a little bit of seating outside and inside for those waiting for a table, which I really appreciate since I broke my leg a few months ago. The staff seemed nice enough too. We had the option of sitting inside or outside, so we sat inside. The booth seats were super comfy! I got the breakfast burrito with a mimosa. The portion sizes were a bit smaller than I was expecting, but the flavor was good. You really can't go wrong with a breakfast burrito after all! I would definitely come back again if I'm ever in the area again.

Came here with my sister, and the service was really good, came on a Sunday morning at 11:00am not crazy busy , we got sat right away. I got the egg white omelette and she got the chorizo and egg. It was so delicious! Deff coming back! Thank you so much for the yummy food :)!

Went to Eat Chow last night for dinner- amazing service, chill atmosphere, and the food was amazing! I tried the ribeye thai salad and it was incredible. The ribeye was flavorful and tender, the herbs brought a perfect touch of freshness, and the salad dressing really tied the whole dish together- I'd highly recommend! My wife got the ahi sandwich and was equally pleased! Thanks Eat Chow:)

Food was ok. Service was ok. We sat outdoors which was a plus. Maybe it was a bad day, but I found the sandwich and my rings were just ok. Nothing stood out. My buddy enjoyed his chicken salad.

It was a weekday brunch/lunch hours, so the restaurant wasn't too packed. Food came out relatively fast! Only complaint-- Everyone got their food at the same time except one person. Their Lobster roll took a long time. By the time we had server check, the rest of party was finishing up their food. I gave one of my mahi tacos, so my friend didn't have to sit awkwardly while we all ate. Guests ordered: Calamari appetizer- crispy, but soft to chew. Flavorful and not heavy batter. Wasn't overcooked and everyone enjoyed it with the sauce it came with. Elderflower Guava mimosa-- refreshing and tastes tropical and light. Guava taste is apparent if you like guava. Something diff if you want to change it up in flavor! Sorry didn't take pic of that. Lobster roll-- Actually really fresh and decent amount of lobster meat given. The bun was a brioche type bun, slightly toasted. Overall, good, but not sure it was worth that long of a wait for it. It came out late, so I wasn't about to take pic of it knowing my friend is starving. Haha Ahi Sandwich--- came with some fries and side salad. Tuna was seared perfectly and not overcooked. Well seasoned too. Bun was slightly toasted. Dressing on salad was a light vinaigrette. Salad looked clean and bright in color. Mahi Mahi--- the corn tortillas must be fresh, because it's soft and thick and elevates the whole dish. If you like spicy, this definitely has a nice kick to it with the seasoning and sauce. Loved it! Fish and Chips-- was good. Crispy and fish not overcooked. Fries are fries anywhere. lol Clam Chowder-- not too salty in comparison to other places. Decent amount of clams. Has a creamy texture, not too thick and not too watery. Nothing irks me more when it's full of potatoes. This had the right amount of potatoes and clams. Lemon Blueberry Pancakes-- Nailed it! Felt like eating dessert! If you love blueberries, this one is for you. Didn't taste a lot of lemon flavors, but it's probably mixed in there somewhere with the syrup and probably lemon zest. Chicken and Waffles--- Chicken was seasoned well and has a nice crunch to it. Not enough chicken in my opinion. Chicken piece looked small in comparison to two thick slabs of waffles. It was good, but wouldn't get it again. If you've had chicken and waffles in Long Beach, IYKYK. Wonderful view of Marina as usual. Our server was super nice and efficient. She had a calm and friendly demeanor about her. She saw we were trying to take pics and offered to take a a few of our table. How thoughtful. It's the small things that matter the most. Details, details! Overall, we had a pleasant time. Thank you!

Each of these plates were very good and the portions were more than expected. I had asked for a glass for my beer. Sorry to say, it took a good 20 minutes for my request to be fulfilled. This has nothing to do with the food and the service. Our server was wonderful and accommodating. The food was quite good and we would have visited again. The rudeness of the owner was beyond words. We were seated with 4 kids and 6 adults. My child is 4 and was hitting his utensils on the table to make music. The owner immediately reprimanded him. She suggested giving the kids pencils and papers as an activity. I thought that was a great idea and said, "yes please". My son, like most children, began hitting his utensils again while waiting. When she saw, she said she would not give the kids the activity if they didn't stop. She then proceeded to snatch all utensils from the kids. I should have said something at that point but I didn't want to ruin the mood. We were celebrating my nephews 8th birthday. After that incident, my husband went up and gave her a suggestion about their menu. He was getting something from the car and didn't witness what happened with the utensils. He has a hard time reading and told her. She proceeded to say, "well we have 5 stars. Then added sarcastically, "well Happy Mother's Day to you too." Rude and uncalled for. I am not good with confrontation and we should have left the restaurant. However, I did not want to penalize our waitress and the other staff who have been great. The owner ultimately left the hostess area but I could hear her telling others that something was wrong with the atmosphere. Obviously that was directed at us. I like to give people the benefit of doubt but not from this type of treatment. She might have had a bad day but you can't act on emotions as a business owner. The thought also crossed my mind that she may have been racist. Needless to say, our birthday lunch was ruined and we couldn't help but discuss the treatment. Our waitress apologized on behalf of the owner but that was seriously inexcusable.

What we ate: Roasted Beet Terrine - while not visually appealing as a terrine (looked like cube of glob), it was delicious nonetheless, and what you would expect out out of roasted beet salad. Starting with parking, this is Newport so you need to be aware. There's an underground parking structure right to the left of the entrance (if your car is pointed towards the marina). Shorebird validates at the hostess stand, valid 2 hours. Atmosphere is great. It's clearly a more upscale (but casual enough) brunch spot on the marina. The decor is beautiful and high quality but not overly done nor overly extravagant. Can imagine the vibe leaning more formal in the evening because it does give "ocean club with the lights on" during the day. Menu items all sound and look delicious but the execution is slightly off. An example was with the lemon ricotta hot cakes - gorgeous in photos and such a great idea on flavors but they had a horrible bitter aftertaste that made them really hard to eat (about 1/4 way in I couldn't do it). Similarly the meatballs looked delicious but the meatball itself was not nearly as flavorful as it looked and sounded on the menu. Passion fruit margarita (zero proof) tasted like passion fruit flavored sparkling water. Was definitely a miss for us. Will try again and order different items, but honestly not sure another visit could make up for the disappointment and get this in my top 5. If it wasn't for the location, they would get my business once and I'd never look back...

It's waterfront and can be accessed via the boardwalk (it's behind the street-side shops). Parking can be tough and very expensive - you'll likely have to park in the structure and walk over. Make sure to take your ticket with you for validation. Seating is available inside and outside on their covered patio. Plenty of space for parties of all sizes. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to make a same-day reservation for a Sunday afternoon. They had plenty of open seating even when we got there. Tables were very dirty. They have a lot of work to do - it seems like months if not years of food, dust, and salty moist air mixed together and collected in the creases in the tables, on the walls, etc.. It's like a sticky gross residue that never gets completely clean. Many people like to dress nice in the area but honestly I would hate to wear something nice here out of fear it would get dirty. We also required new plates as ours had old food stuck to them. Service was not great. Our waiter was somewhat attentive but not nice - the poor guy seemed miserable like he hated his job and did not want to be there. Despite the restaurant being full, he wouldn't come by often when we actually needed something - he even disappeared towards the end and a new waiter had to help us. Food is delicious. Besides the location, their saving grace. We tried the sandwiches and yummy! Fries were also delicious with the spicy mayo. Love the different options they have, overall.
