Exceptional HVAC replacement - great price, creative solutions, and flawless installation After thorough research and multiple quotes I selected Cronus to replace my old 5 ton AC + gas furnace + Smart Vent (fresh air damper). The initial response time was very impressive - within minutes of submitting a request for a quote I got a message back and then a call to schedule someone to come out an hour later. When Alex arrived I explained that I wanted a variable speed fully communicating system, which I'd learned from a SMUD webinar was the most efficient type of system. I also wanted the system to be eligible for the SMUD and CA rebates as well as the soon to expire Federal tax credit. He pointed out that Daikin is likely the best option for me and would be cheaper than most other comparable systems. This matches up with SMUD data that showed Daikin to be the most popular system that goes through their rebate program. As the Smart Vent isn't compatible with variable speed systems, Alex suggested a heat recovery ventilator (HRV) which would be much more efficient and exchange enough air to keep CO2 and VOC levels in acceptable ranges. I received a quote quickly, much faster than other companies, and it was also the most comprehensive. I had asked him to quote an optional additional duct run to a room that was added and lacking a vent. I was surprised at how cheaply this could be done, especially as other contractors were telling me it likely wasn't possible. Many of the other quotes I got wanted to run a new lineset or 220v to the attic but the Daikin didn't require that. Likewise other contractors wanted to cut new holes in the roof but Cronus found a way to re-purpose the old vents from the smart vent and gas vent so that no major changes were needed. After signing the contract, in late October, Cronus got the permits and came to install the system days later. Ion and Aleksandr arrived to do the install and laid out drop cloths along the entire way and were very courteous and professional. Over the next 3 days they got everything installed and configured. It's only been a few days but I'm very impressed with the system. It is dramatically quieter - I can't really tell when it's on other than the whole house feels the perfect temp all the time now. Cronus will be coming back in the spring to confirm everything is operating properly and show me how to maintain the system. I can't recommend Cronus enough. Even if you're getting multiple quotes like I did, make sure Cronus is one of them - and honestly, if you only have time for one quote, make it Cronus. They were responsive, knowledgeable, competitively priced, and delivered exceptional work. read more

Very poor decision on my part choosing Cronus installing a new HVAC rooftop mounted ! Contract amount $13K. Within in 60 days, roof leaked water below new HVAC installed by Cronus and continues to leak after rain days. The leaks were confirmed by 2 outside inspectors showing definitive pictures of water intrusions/leaks into attic and living area. 1 company is a mold inspector (Mold Inspection and Testing Co), 1 is a remediation company (Reactic Restoration Co) dtd, April 30 and May 1, 2026. Since water leaks continue, tenants on my property had to terminate lease due to compromised habitability of house and moved out May 1, 2026. Beware! Denys, I e mailed Cronus Sunday, May 3 and again May5 requesting an amicable conversation/resolution with no response from Cronus. I'm open to discussion/resolution if you're amenable. The capacitor went bad... he replaced it and the system started to work... only Sergei was not satisfied that the system was working correctly.... Up in the attic he went... he discovered that when the system was put in the damper system was working against each other and fixed that... then noticed that the drain line appeared to be clogged.... Blew that line out and drained the drain pan.... Literally spent an hour in my attic on a 105 day! My system has never worked like this.... The vents are blowing air at least twice as hard as before!
