Found this place on a whim. My kids and I were at the post office down the street and we were looking for breakfast. I pulled up the nearest spots on Yelp and The Crooked Tree was one of them; we love to find new places to eat especially spots that are quaint and very none assuming. We all had the 'Crooked Tree Breakfast' and it was amazing!! The potatoes were perfectly seasoned and their homemade jams of the day were raspberry and pineapple. They were crazy good and complimented my biscuit perfectly. Jenny our waitress was so great, she made us want to come back again!! I came with friends after church during brunch. I split the smoked brisket hash with a friend and got the barbecue sauce on the side because I was a little hesitant with how it would taste. Oh man! I was a little skeptical when I pulled into the lot. This cafe looks like a little red house, it's not in the nicest looking area and it wasn't very busy. This was during a Sunday brunch time when most popular places are on a wait. I figured I'd still give it a try though since I previously read great reviews and the menu seemed pretty appetizing. They did not disappoint! Great service and very good food! My potatoes could have been a little warmer, but that's okay. I loved the coffee too. I've been here several times. Their food is always on point. If you want a place to eat at that's not the typical chain restaurant breakfast this is it. They make their own pork sausage which is a must have. Make sure you order that with the Crooked Tree breakfast. read more

Went here for the first time, due to the good reviews. Service was great, very friendly and prompt. The bacon,egg, and cheese biscuit I got was really good, but the $3.00 side of red bliss home fries were not so good. The flavor was there, but they were cold and very flabby, like cold soggy fries. My son got a belgian waffle that was pretty tough, but it tasted ok. Hubby got eggs, grits, bacon, and biscuit. His was good. He also got 1 buttermilk pancake that was very good, light and fluffy. Husband and I just ate lunch at The Crooked Tree Cafe for the first time and we were very happy with our meal. Restaurant was clean, our server was very friendly, service was prompt, but not rushed, and the beef brisket sandwich was tender and flavorful. Husband had the pulled pork with mac and cheese and really liked it. Our green beans were crisp, not soft like I like them, but my fault for not asking up front. Went there for a work meeting and was lucky enough to be able to try breakfast and lunch. I put my own breakfast together with egg whites and the sausage which was one of the best sausages I've ever had. For lunch I had the Smoked Chicken Cobb Salad and mixed the molasses vinaigrette and sherry vinaigrette and it was awesome. This is the first little brunch spot we found upon moving to Marietta. We eat there all the time now! I'm a vegetarian and my favorite dish is the veggie scrambler. (I think that's what it's called) I order it every time. Our kids love it too - they always get pancakes. Their homemade jelly is to die for as well. Deliciousness at its best. I had a BBQ pulled pork sandwich with their bacon potatoe salad. The salad is really good. My hubby had the fries and they were too greasy (hence the 4 stars) service was good and relatively fast. We also ordered their sweet potato pancakes which are the best I have ever had. The smokey scrambler with pork is my favorite but l love to stop in on my way to work and pick up an egg,cheese, and sausage biscuit. We have been here 2-3 times for breakfast and have never been disappointed. Fresh food excellently prepared and a very friendly and accommodating staff. I try to follow a vegetarian diet and they are always willing to make substitutions on the plates for me. Pancakes are light and fluffy and the grits are awesome! The rest of the family raves about the brisket and the homemade sausage. Everything we had to eat was incredible, but my two favorite things were the homemade biscuit and the homemade syrup. The pulled pork sandwich was also awesome and so was their BBQ sauce. Greeting was friendly and the waitress did a good job of bringing our food and checking on us. The atmosphere was comfortable and hospitable. However, the food was not cooked to our specifications and was greasy. Greasy and raw bacon that was requested to be crispy, greasy and runny fried eggs that were requested to be over well, soupy grits and a biscuit that was barely cooked and tasted like mush. My friend's sausage and potatoes were very greasy. The upshot, we both felt queasy to our stomachs about an hour after leaving. Should have sent everything back for a redo, and that's a lesson. Our first one trying this after running a 5k race in downtown Kennesaw. For a Saturday morning at 9:45am, no wait, plenty of space and we were seated immediately. Hubs and I split a veggie scramble and blueberry/granola pancakes. The scramble was awesome! We both wish the portion was a little bigger. Our six year old asked to try it and he loved it as well. Blueberry pancakes were decent. Our boys split a short stack of chocolate chip pancakes. The pancakes are very big, don't over order! Servers and workers were super friendly. They have a very comfortable, friendly vibe. It seems like a place that has a lot of locals as regular customers. The only negative was speed of service. It took a really long time to get our food. We also had to ask for a coffee refill, something that is expected at most breakfast joints. We would come back again. Nice little cafe in a strange part of town. Worth a few minutes drive! read more
