    Ahí Tuna Salad
    Betty C.

We came for lunch on a Friday. We sat in the back corner below the old kitchen cabinet "art." The lighting was too bright and the room felt cold. We shared the lobster deviled eggs and Brussels sprouts. The deviled eggs were fine but to me the flavor of the lobster is lost in the egg filling. The Brussels sprouts were strange. We had asked other bacon on the side and it came out cold and limp... the sprouts were really greasy and they were topped with a strange tart flavored dressing. They were not enjoyable. My ahi tuna salad was what very different from what I am used to tasting. The dressing was too tart and overpowered the tuna. The greens were also overdressed and way too wet. Others had the Wrightwood salad, the turkey burger and the salmon and all enjoyed theirs.

Always a great experience. Went this week and AC was not out, but staff super nice and honestly wasn't too hot in there. Food is always 10/10 no matter what I order. Steak frites and French dip sandwich are favorites. Great drink selection. Frequent at this neighborhood spot.

Crosby's Kitchen is delicious for any time of the day! They have amazing brunch/lunch/dinner options that you truly can't go wrong with. They're known for their Wrightwood Salad which feels fresh, but what has truly stood out to me so far has been their Bloody Marys and their Thanksgiving Special sandwich (wish they offered this all year). They have a great Midwestern vibe going on inside, and are very organized. One thing I will say is their service can be hit or miss (feel like this depends on the server), but their well curated dishes will always have me coming back!

A very solid, consistent American food spot. This is the kind of place I know the service will be friendly and the food will be good. This is the kind of place I take my parents when they come into town. I personally really like the lobster deviled eggs and of course anything including the rotisserie chicken. Good place to stop in while shopping around the area.

I've only ever had lunch or brunch here, but honestly, I'm always super impressed and satisfied. It isn't an easy place to go with his friend or family and they have lovely outdoor seating that allows for dogs. The blueberry cornbread is one of my favorites in the city and I always get it. They have good breakfast. I found this, but my favorite things are the wrightwood salad and the chicken dip. It's just a super reliable place in Southport and a really meal! Big fan of that patio!

Slightly elevated American comfort food is how our server described and I'd have to agree. While it was simply just ribs and coleslaw, they add a kick that turns it up just a notch without overdoing it. The portion size was great, just enough food to clear the plate without feeling stuffed. Service was quick and friendly, pleasantries from every employee in our path. I thankfully made a reservation, even on a Monday night, Crosbys seems to be one of the popular Southport spots for dinner.

3.5 - the service was great! Our server was super kind and provided great service. The inside is very cozy and warm. Decent amount of seating! I think I was just disappointed in the food. Not bad but wasn't as good as I was expecting and I felt like it was priced a but pricier given the taste. I would come back to try something else if someone highly recommended it but wasn't my favorite.

We decided to drop in a try for a table on a Friday night without a reservation. We were excited when they did have a table for two for us! But I would recommend a reservation to guarantee a table. To drink, I ordered a prickly pear margarita on our servers recommendation. It was a very satisfying egg foam and refreshing flavor. To eat, I ordered the nice little house salad with rotisserie chicken added. This was the perfect late night light dinner. The salad has a citrus vinaigrette and the chicken is exceptional. You have to try it in some form when you are there as it's their specialty. It comes with a piece of jalapeño cornbread which I think should be standard with any salad! For dessert, we had an iron skillet cookie. It was gooey, warm and delicious. Definitely a classic dessert that you cannot go wrong with. This is a great neighborhood spot for high quality food and well crafted classics.

Cozy restaurant with friendly, professional and amicable hostesses, waiters/waitresses, bartenders and staff. Enticing menu makes choosing a good challenge. Started with a spiked hot chocolate with Bailey's - yesss! My friend babied a yummy espresso martini. The all American cheeseburger was perfectly prepared; however, the hash browns were a tad mushy and slightly burned. The huge chicken dip sandwich was great, especially in the au jus, plus who doesn't like a mound of fresh thin fries? Our waiter, Jack, took care of us promptly before during an after. The ambience and extensive menu begs me to come back for another round.

The weather was nice enough that we ate outside ?!!!! Vibes were high. This salad was everything I needed. Such a yummy combo of ingredients too. Favorite part was the cornbread croutons

Great place to grab a bite to eat in Lakeview after doing some shopping @ madewell, gap & Sephora. All within the same block! Can't go wrong with ordering one of the their signature specials- rotisserie chicken! Was juicy and flavorful and went wonderfully with the fluffy mashed potatoes! Since we were sitting at the bar counter our server was also the bar tender-Luis. He was the one who gave us the suggestions on what to order which turned out to be spectacular! He also helped us get our bearings as to where we actually were. We thought Roscoe village or Bucktown but we actually were in Lakeview! I think maybe some would say wrigleyville! Don't miss this great place that serves comfort style food with relaxed atmosphere!!

Clair was a great waitress! Very nice and attentive. My dog was also in her way on the patio the whole night and she was so sweet about it.

Street parking with Pay to Park meters. We were a bit early for our large group reservation, but our table was ready and we were promptly seated. Server came by for drink orders. We perused the menu while awaiting the rest of our party. There's a nice selection of food and drinks. There were also some specials that sounded and tasted great! Brussels sprouts appetizer was shared with the group, a good choice if you enjoy sprouts. Crab toast was reported as delightful, and my Wrightwood Salad was generously portioned and very tasty! Food and drinks were delivered to us in a timely manner. We were not rushed, which was good because our visit was to catch up with out of town visitors. Restroom was clean! There's an inviting outdoor patio around the corner on Cornelia Ave, looks like a great place to relax and enjoy the city vibes!

Beer was great and Bethany, my server, was wonderful. I felt welcome as a single diner, which isn't always the case at some restaurants. My second visit was a little less wonderful. I sat inside, had a different server on a busy night and felt unappreciated, to be honest. The pace was frenetic with servers and bussers rushing around throughout the restaurant. My server was OK, but I don't think she cared one way or another about my experience as a patron and it showed. Servers really can make a big difference in dining experiences. I know that it's not an easy job, but something to think about for any servers reading reviews. FYI - the reserved signs on the outdoor tables simply mean that you need to see the hostess. The tables are not actually reserved. They really should use different wording because I almost kept walking, thinking that all the outside tables were taken.

The pros of this place are the servers and staff, they were all incredibly friendly to us and got our orders right. The restaurant itself was busy and had a comfortable vibe. The food was not good at all. It took a long time for it to come out, but I had noticed all the food came out at a similar time so they prob had a backup in the kitchen. My burger was not good as it was dry and the sauces had a tangy flavor to them. The French fries were dry and cold but the fried pickles were decent.

The burger had a lot of toppings, including a sauce and pickled onions and a very good amount of pickles. The Caesar salad honestly was not good, tasted very artificial and I probably would only try their sandwiches or appetizers if I went back. The staff were super friendly too and gave us some awesome recommendations, which definitely helped because there were so many things I wanted to try. I ordered the Harissa Shakshuka, it came with roasted peppers, onions, tomatoes, garbanzo beans, goat cheese, and two poached eggs, served with sourdough toast. When it came out, the presentation immediately caught my attention. The two poached eggs were sitting right on top of this beautiful, rich sauce, with the goat cheese scattered throughout. Once I cut into the eggs and that runny yolk mixed into everything underneath... wow. The flavor was outstanding. The tomatoes and roasted peppers gave the dish a deep, slightly sweet and savory base, while the harissa added a warm, smoky heat that slowly built with each bite. The garbanzo beans were soft and tender, adding this really nice texture. And the sourdough toast was perfect for this. I could scoop up the sauce, egg yolk, beans, and peppers all in one bite. That's when the dish really came together. This was a seriously delicious breakfast. Every bite had something going on, and I'd definitely order it again.
