I've been a loyal customer of Crossroads Pizza on Main St for a while, but this last experience was unacceptable and will be my last. My order arrived over an hour and a half late, and despite calling multiple times, I was told the driver was "around the corner" -- which clearly wasn't true. When the food finally arrived, it was cold. I called the store to speak to a manager, explained the issue, and even offered to return the food. Not only did they refuse to issue a refund, but the manager was unprofessional -- arguing with me, talking over me, and refusing to provide contact information for the owner. I had to call another location just to find out how to escalate the situation. This experience was extremely disappointing. Beautiful decor, great place for lunch or dinner. Thin or Greek-style pizza is delicious! It's all about the sauce for me and these guys do it right. I've never had a bad meal here. My favorite thing to eat are wings, one day I ordered wings and I know they might take some time to cook (I work at a pizza shop too). The delievery time was almost an hour and a half. The wings were completely burnt and cold. I called back and I asked what are my options. She said we can send new wings out or can have store credit. I asked for store credit because it was almost closing time and I know its a hassle. She said my credit will be under my phone number. I called back once to use my credit and said nothing was available, so with that being said I sent an email over and said credit will be available soon. I called and tried to order once again and said no store credit was available. So if anything just ASK FOR YOUR MONEY BACK IF THEY MESS UP ON AN ORDER. I've been on the hunt for a good calzone since I moved here in May 2019 and I finally found it! Crossroads uses outstanding ingredients and the calzone was baked to perfection. They offer calzones in two sizes and you can customize the amount of mozzarella and ricotta! I am not much of a ricotta fan, but this is the first time I have seen an option to control how much ricotta is included. My husband ordered a meatball grinder on garlic bread, which he said was delicious and very creative. We are thoroughly impressed with Crossroads and their creative, yet flexible menu. The situation: tried ordering food tonight via Uber Eats. The lead-up to the issue: I had written a note upon checkout for a simple side of ranch to go with the pizza we ordered. Crossroads has always accommodated in the past. They wrote back saying the store didn't have the ingredient. Strange, but OK, fine, no problem. I responded to continue with the order without the instructions for Ranch. The issue: Crossroad flat-out cancels our order without explanation. Why? You can't just process our order as though I hadn't written the note about the ranch? Are you all stupid? So anyway, fuck you Crossroads. This location is by far the worst. I refuse to order from there going forward. Burned too many times lately (last few times the food was subpar - including a stale pizza they "reheated" and delivered which tasted like cardboard). I called the restaurant to inform them of an issue that I had with their product and was basically met with "why are you complaining when you ordered some time ago"... horrible service. As a business owner, a complaint is the best thing that can happen to you, considering you actually care about your business. Someone informing you of an issue is a good way to 1. Realizing there may be an issue here. And 2. fixing the issue before it becomes an even bigger issue. Clearly the staff here didn't think my issue with their food was a good enough problem to fix. The foods pretty good but their pricing is pretty F'd up on Uber eats. Like you want wings? $11, now pick how many. No matter what the size it ads more. It's like 15-16$ for 6 buffalo wings. Same with a pizza. Usually the price shown is for a small, then it adds for the bigger sizes. Here they charges for no reason. I've heard a lot of buzz about the pizza at Crossroads. I was encouraged to try the thin crust pizza and it did not disappoint. I had a small, thin crust pepperoni pizza. The pizza was cooked perfectly and had the right balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings. The crust was really good. It had the buttery flavor and texture of a traditional Greek pizza, except it was much thinner. The inside of the restaurant is newly remodeled and has a trendy, sleek. It's super spacious with a large dinning room and a separate bar area. You'll feel like you're in Vegas or Miami, until you look outside and see Bridgeport. Ordered a large pizza and Buffalo wings for delivery. This was my first time ordering here but I will order again. The food came delivered hot, wait time was about 40 minutes. The Buffalo wings were really good next time I'll get a larger order of those. I'm from New York so it's tough for me to appreciate pizza elsewhere. The pizza wasn't NY pizza but it was tasty. I will say whoever sliced the pizza may have been tired, some slices were pretty tiny like a sliver while others were big. My go-to order is a large pepperoni pizza and 8 buffalo wings well done :-D. Yes it takes a while (35-45 minutes) to get my food, but I honestly used to chalk that up to them being super busy and popular ::shrugs:: I'm always mentally prepared for the long wait and it never bothers me. I wish I could say that I had great things to say about this place, but... they never delivered my food. I placed an order for my friend and I. After I placed the order, I called in to the restaurant to make sure they had blue cheese and nothing would be left out. The girl was very polite and assured me that everything was together and the delivery guy was on the way to my house. I waited an 1 and 45 minutes for this lovely person to show. I never got my food. I began calling the restaurant to find out what was going on, they ignored my calls. I called in to Yelp24 to find out what was going on. The agent told me that the restaurant had to be open since they just paged in to show my order was being delivered. I told her how long it's been since they promised delivery, plus I had a pretty generous cash tip ready considering it's 9pm on a Sunday. She asked me to hold so she can call. When the agent got back on the line she told me that Crossroads said they had been trying to deliver my food for over an hour but I gave a bad address. When she asked why Crossroads didn't call in to find me, the best that they could come up with was I wouldn't answer the phone. What a joke. Why would I place an order online, call in to make sure that my order was in good shape- only for me to provide a bad address and phone number? Does that make any sense?? Clearly they were blaming their incompetence and unprofessionalism on me and not their lazy delivery person. I'm glad that Yelp saw right through the lies and gave me the proper refund. Too bad I'll never order, or step foot in their establishment again. BTW- I called in the next day to find out what happened and like the night before- they ignored my calls. Horrible customer service. They messed up on our last order so we opted for a credit instead of a redo. (We ordered bacon and sausage pizza and they sent bacon and pepperoni). When we placed our order tonight we were told the credit is like a coupon so we could not use a coupon and the credit on our order. I said this wasn't told to us before. When I told the "manager" that they were losing a customer and her response was that if they lose a customer today then they will just get another one tomorrow. Not a good attitude to take. In this day and age customer service is key because someone else will appreciate our business. This is my go to place for ordering out. Much better than the other chain pizza restaurants for sure. Their salads are sort of boring, but it gets the job done. I would recommend the chicken or shrimp salad. For pizza, I always opt for the pepperoni, which is always good. My last order, I got the hot oil pizza and that was good as well. read more
