Always the BEST customer service. I purchased an acrylic sheet at Lowe's after confirming that they will custom cut to size at no cost. Not only did they refuse to cut to size at first, when asked why they said they would, they finally said "fine." They cut the most uneven and unusable edges then said the cutter was set up improperly in the store so it wouldn't cut a straight line???? After making them replace it, I brought it to ACE to see if there was anything that could be done. Danny took the sheet to the back and was able to cut the cleanest, straightest edges that fits EXACTLY over my desktop!! It's PERFECT! Danny was so helpful and Jacob had wonderful customer service. I know it wasn't a service they normally offer, but they made sure to go out of their way to help me. They refused to let me pay for the service so I made sure to buy a new houseplant since their houseplants are my favorite of all time. I really love having a hardware store like Ace in my neighborhood, I went in the other night looking for a drill adapter. After looking for about 10 min there was no such bit, I was feeling a little frustrated and ready to go home. That's when Jessie offers to let me borrow a drill she had in her car. Jessie totally saved me and how nice of her to even offer her drill to me. I was a customer at a restaurant in the same parking lot as this ace this morning and found myself with a flat tire and lack of knowledge on how to put the spare on my truck. Mike and Spencer came outside and spent the time helping me. That kind of service to someone who wasn't even a customer is unheard of and I'm so grateful to both of them for the help. Before they came outside another worker offered to let me use her AAA card. I've never seen such selfless offerings of help to another person from a business before and all three of them made my day and saved me a ton of money from having to call a tow truck! I came in tonight at 8:05pm - because I mowed over a sprinkler head and was desperate to fix it. The staff there, supervised by Gerry were FANTASTIC. They took care of me, didn't complain or act rude because I snuck in after closing or anything. They helped me pick all the necessary tools, showed me how to adjust the sprinkler head and hooked me up with a wee whacker so that I didn't mow over another sprinkler. All in 10 min!! Being a super clueless person to hardware stuff, I came here looking for cement glue. Not knowing exactly what it was I actually needed, I googled "cement glue" and asked Jessie if she had it. Not only did the store carry cement glue but had most of the images that came up on my google search. From there, she asked me what it was that I was looking to do with it. I like going to this ACE Hardware store they do have a lot more than the ACE in Diamond Bar, and the store is better organized, and the staff is very friendly, but sometimes it's hard to find a parking spot because there is a lot of other businesses in the area also. I went there this past weekend and they do have alot to choose from, from vacuum cleaners, household cleaners, and kitchen items , BBQ's outside patio furniture just to name a few items. read more

Love to go to the nursery, staff are friendly and knowledgeable, plants are healthy and timely. The collections are huge, you can find almost all the plants you would need for the garden, orchard, indoor/outdoor planting and more. Most importantly, the products are healthy, they grow well when you replant them in your garden. Prices are reasonable too. Either you're just about to start your gardening experience or you're a pro, if you haven't gone to this nursery, it's worth to make a visit. The story begins with me looking for a product that I couldn't find at any other store. Ace did a special order for me and had in at the store in just a couple of days. Then the product needed some special handling which they normally don't do (I guess because not many DIYers buy this stuff), so the staff got together and figured out a way to get it done for me. Mom and Dad recommended we try this Ace Hardware as we were on a hunt for a specific Christmas wreath I bought at the Fullerton location the day before for 25% off. At this location the same item was 50% off. We bought the floor sample which we normally don't do. Everyone was extremely helpful. They had to climb up on a ladder and get it down. I was happy they had the original box because it had the extra lights inside. We found two lighted trees to match the wreath also 50% off. Bought those. Then one employee helped us locate a specific laser light we have never heard of before but saw on someone's house. She knew exactly what I was describing with the picture I showed her. I was looking for a Weber Propane BBQ, the model of which was only handled by Ace Hardware stores. The BBQ had to be ordered and was available when promised. I had it delivered unassembled in a very large box at no charge. The store manager (Tom) no less delivered the 200lb box to my residence. After assembling the unit, I detected a gas leak and contacted the store (again Tom) for help. He came out within an hour with a new propane tank and the problem was solved. He also provided me with instructions re proper utilization of the unit. We have had our first BBQ using the new unit and am very pleased. I don't know what it is with Crown Ace Hardware and the people they hire ... Geeez! I just walked in to the Anaheim Hills location to buy a certain drain cleaner... I walked down the main aisle ( I looked to be the only customer in the store at that time) and finally saw an Ace employee stocking a shelf at the back of the store... The greeting I received when she looked over was "yes? Are you looking for something? This was said with a sour expression and a look of you are interrupting my shelf stocking duties! I showed her the picture of the item I was looking for and she took me to where it was and pointed. I said " is there anything I need to know about it"? ( this is s very powerful acid drain cleaner). She responded with " read the directions". Ok .... Go back to your shelf stocking duties! Next time I'll go to Home Depot where it's just the opposite when you walk in and 10 people with smiles ask you if you need help! No matter what others may say, Home Depot certainly trains their front end employees in basic Customer service! read more
