This. Place. Makes. Great. Chicken. Reasonably priced. Nice, tasty sides and you can't go wrong when you need something in a pinch.

The ONLY spot in AP for fried chicken! The center breast pieces are meaty and moist with crispy well seasoned skin.

I'm now 22 years old and live in town and this still is hands down THE best fried chicken I have ever had.

Check out my previous review to see the bakery magic she performs every weekend. Went there Saturday to see if LA lives up to the hype I've seen online. I got the LA double smash which comes with two perfectly formed, perfectly cooked beef patties, anerican cheese, pickles, onions and their signature sauce on a toasted Martin's potato roll. The combo of the beef, fresh onion, super fresh tomato, melted cheese in every nook and cranny, the sauce and that potato roll reached a level that not many burgers in my lifetime have reached. I housed the burger in record time and wished I had gotten another. Needless to say I'll be stalking LA at future pop ups. They used to operate out of Confessions of a Rock Star in Asbury Park. Im not sure if that's still the case but wherever you find them, go see them.

Got the LA style, my hubs got 2 patties and I stuck with one. Y'all the burger sauce is truly to die for. Crinkle cut fries were crispy and meaty. Burger was made with quality ingredients and cooked well done. Their online ordering uses DoorDash and it was very easy to order and pick up. Overall we loved it. The prices vs portions were on the high side but still a great burger and I'd rather support a local business than go to a fast casual or chain restaurant!

The burgers are great, and the last time I tried their cheesesteak which normally comes with cherry peppers and red onion. I asked for it plain, and it was super delicious. Portion sizes are solid, and prices are reasonable considering the area. We actually ended up here because Pasta Volo -- one of my favorite spots in Asbury Park -- was closed that day. The Speakeatery made for a great backup. You order at the counter, and the service is decent. The space is long and narrow with some stool seating up front and more table and chair seating towards the back. The grill and kitchen are situated in the middle of the restaurant. The place only has indoor seating, which fits the speakeasy vibe nicely. Overall, I'd recommend The Speakeatery for breakfast or lunch when you're visiting Asbury Park for the day.

The Bubba shrimp sandwich with bacon hits all of the crunchy, savory, and electrolyte-filling requirements, and the Top o' the Massacre sandwich is a tour de force of pork products: pork roll, bacon, sausage nestled between a hash brown and muenster cheese. If you didn't have a religious experience seeing Mike Gordon at the Stone Pony, then this is as close as you'll get for the rest of the year.

Now what I will say is make sure you have your cash ready this is a cash only establishment which is not bad at all what you saw as a price is what you paid. Plus the specials that they had were cash only as well and they were worth the bucks. Nothing was too expensive great pricing I don't think I saw anything over $20. Plenty of drink options in the best little glasses that are complimentary of Ball, if you are familiar. As we arrive we met this really nice security guy super cool even came to check in on us at some point through the night an amazing bartender super cool great conversation great tattoos. Sorry I was tired so I didn't get a name but when you see him you will know it. So we did a little late night dipping and dabbing just got something light sweet chili wings perfectly cooked perfect flavor and adjust the right amount of sauce with the freshest celery and carrots! My partner was looking for something heavy so he indulged in the burger and the sweet tater w Pico queso. Delicious .. We remember seeing this place over the summer and all we remembered was a lot of people standing outside so we didn't realize what the bar was but this weekend we stopped in and were pleasantly surprised we will definitely be back and looking forward to it!

We happened to be in the area and stopped into the Black Swan for brunch. I had heard great things…read moreabout the place and was eager to give it shot. From the moment we entered the pub, we were transferred to the United Kingdom with its tavern-like decor. They had a quaint dining room, a bar area with soccer team schwag hanging overhead, a dainty tea room, and a dimly lit space inside what used to be a bank vault. We were seated at a high-top table in the bar, which was fine, as there was a large party with rowdy children in the dining room. Thankfully, the layout allowed us to avoid the majority of their loudness, though their sheer party size clearly held up the kitchen, since it took a while for us to get our food. There was a specific brunch menu with some breakfast-forward items like Loaded French Toast, but we were also given their full-day menu with many more options. I decided to get two smaller dishes to count as my complete meal. First, I had the Chipotle Chicken Chili, which was apparently a recent addition to the menu. I omitted the scoop of sour cream that was supposed to sit on top of the mound of soup, but I did not feel like I was missing anything by doing so. The smoky broth was packed with kidney beans, stewed tomatoes, and chunks of ground chicken. I thought it was delicious, but a bit thin and oily. I also sampled a side of the Sweet and Sour Brussels Sprouts, which were similarly greasy, but crunchy and well-flavored. In fact, they could have used a bit more marinade to really pop. My companion had positive things to say about his burger and fries. We really enjoyed the casual atmosphere, friendly service, and tasty food at the Black Swan, and I would certainly return to try some of their other traditional, European dishes.

Pasta: can't remember the name of the pasta I got but it's the one that was recommended by the waiter. It comes with burrata which made the dish so so good. I would get this again.
