I purchased a 2009 Dodge Ram 3500 from Sean at Crown Motors three months ago. I live in Alaska, so the truck had to be shipped to me. Of course, being so far away I had to take their word on everything about the truck. When the truck arrived, there were a few things I felt should have been addressed prior to shipping but I also realized that part of the problem was probably me but I needed it in Alaska as soon as possible. Sean really went out of his way to accommodate me and I had the truck within 2 weeks. When I called Sean to tell him about the few items I felt could have been better, he made no excuses but said he would speak with the owner Ray when he got back from his vacation and would try to make it right. I sort of felt like it was used car salesmen lingo for your out of luck but to my surprise not only did he speak with the owner but within 4 days of the owner getting back I had a check for $1000.00 to fix the issues on the truck. I was ecstatic and felt like they delivered on every promise they made and as for the truck I could not be happier. I would highly recommend Crown Motors because of how they treated me every step in the process. Thank you to the team at Crown motors and yes, I would buy from them again. One last thing the lady who does their titles was also fantastic. I had a temp tag when it arrived and within two weeks had my permanent Alaska plates. Took advantage of a mentally handicapped boy These people sold my son who lives in a group home and receives SSI due to mental issues a 2022 Challenger.....he has no license and it's highly unlikely he will be able to get one...anyone talking to him for more than 10 minutes would realize he has no concept of financing, interest or anything related to purchasing a car. Advertised price of car 24,000...by the time Crowns team of crack salesmen were thru adding extras 38,000.Financing should be a problem but once again didn't slow the team. They showed up at my home @ 6 pm while I was away and had my wife who has calcification of the arteries in her brain (doesn't always know what day it is) and macular degeneration (she can't read), brought her out into the driveway and had her cosign the loan... then left in such a hurry the car was left in the street blocking the neighbor's driveway....when I contacted Ray to try to get this resolved was told they didn't see any issues with the sale ....This is not over read more

Worst experience I'll ever have. You guys are the reason people tend to hate going through dealerships as middleman. If I go to a furniture store to buy a $10,000 couch. That couch will cost me $10,000 plus delivery possibly. With car dealerships it does not work that way. I work 60 hours a week at $18.54 per hour plus OT pay. I needed a reliable car and needed the transaction to be seamless and to take advantage of the EV credit for Oregon and Federal. My bolt Ev 2020 premier was listed at $16,000 then you slip in at the very last minute with no verbal discussion only in fine print "other fee" of 1300 for a stupid security system I said I don't not want but it's already installed does not mean I should legally pay for something I do not want and after already sneaking in and then me canceling a warranty. Human to human you should not do this to the lower class eat off the rich not me and if you have any kindness in your heart at least apologize and make it right. read more

I recently bought a 2020 . Malibu from crown motors. They added a charge for some anti theft for $1188, The car has Onstar I called and told them I did not want that. They told me that in case of a theft I would get $5000. There is no paper work saying that. I called several more times no answer or call back I sent a letter requesting a refund and a e mail. Nothing. Dont trust that everything works,taillight was out when I got home chip in the windshield spidered on the way home They paid for the taillight. Do business elsewhere. They responded to a Craigslist ad and low balled us on our car. They convinced us to come in by saying they had cut a check and had it ready for us and to come in anytime, asking us to remove the Craigslist ad. When we got there, the claimed that the car needed spark plugs and an oil change after their certified technology looked it over in addition to minor scratches that were disclosed in the Craigslist ad. First off, it's an electric vehicle, so it doesn't have spark plugs or oil. It was clear they had no intention of honoring their offer and blamed their salesman after we showed them his texts. It's clear that the owner plays "blame the customer" whenever there is a bad review. All I'm saying is that there have to be better places to spend your money. Don't waste time here. read more

I bought a F150 from Ray in mid 2019. The transaction was smooth, I drove over 100 miles and I actually expected to find some sort of bait and switch or something else shady because his price was so reasonable. Not at all the deal, Ray was super efficient and easy to work with. He told me the truck was from a regular customer of his that buys fleet vehicles for construction and Ray got a great deal. I figured he's a typical salesman who made up a good story about why ge offered such a good price, but sure enough I found a receipt in the truck for the company and the truck was on record when I got an oil change registered to the company. Ray wasn't BS'ing and he was also clear he wasn't negotiating on price which was understandable. I waited this long to write a review to make sure nothing weird popped up about the truck. This truck has been solid. Next time I need a car I will be checking Crown Motors inventory first. read more

If i could leave a lower star i would unfortunately i I thought ray was a good stand up sales man and was happy with the sale but after not even having my 2012 volvo for a few weeks the engine suddenly blew a rod and the starter seized! We drove the car with care and even got an oil change rite away considering he had used the car for his personal use and put quite a few miles on it and not once got the oil done but did not mention this at the time. He also did not offer a warranty although he stated it was an option. Then lied to my dad and said that the mechanic I took it to said we redlined it and thats why it threw a rod witch was a complete and uder lie. He also insinuated that if we heard the car not sounding rite that we should have taken it in rite away but the car had absolutely no warning sounds or anything indicating the engine was going to blow it happened with no warning what so ever. He has done nothing but say to take it to his mechanic and then still have to pay him for a new engine bcuz he thinks he can get a better deal. But he should not only be a good person but a good business man and give me a new car or my money back! A CAR SHOULD NOT BLOW UP AFTER JUST BUYING IT!! So i personally would not waiste my time on his cars that he doeant take care of or his customers especially during such a hard time rite now when i used the last of what i saved to buy what i thought would be a reliable car and now he thinks i have money for a new engine!!! The other gave me the classic routine and told me my trade-in was valueless sight unseen. Ray was the exact opposite of this company and every big dealer I've ever worked with before. I purchased a 2009 VW Tiguan S in March 2019. Ray was helpful and the transaction went smooth. UNFORTUNATELY I WAS SOLD A TICKING TIME BOMB. The issue started the very next day. After two days at Ray's mechanic, he said nothing was wrong and gave the car back to me. I continued to have intermittent problems and 5 months later the timing chain skipped. The car is not drivable and I am looking at thousands of dollars to repair. Beware of VW/Audi between 2008-2014. Check the VIN on timingchainlitigation.com before you buy. There are vehicles on the Crown Motor lot today that have matching VINs. You won't find this issue on the Carfax report and it's not listed as a Recall. There was a class action lawsuit and settlement to provide consumers with compensation should they have timing chain issues. However, there are vehicles out there which were never fixed. If the car has over 100k miles, you get nothing and your engine repairs may cost more than you paid for the car. read more

Ray sold my vehicle to someone else :(. My wife and I were very impressed with how clean and tidy Ray kept both his cars and his shop. He was flexible with us, allowed us to take a test drive and made us feel valued. We especially appreciated that he wasn't rushing us to make a decision. He specifically put me at ease when he told me he'd be away from his shop from Wed-Sun (due to unusual circumstances), but if he wasn't there, the car would remain available. Despite his reassurance, my wife messaged him the next day to remind him of our desire to purchase the car. Then, after texting him on Saturday he told us he sold the vehicle to someone else. Apparently, he thought we "were not interested" anymore. He also said that I misunderstood him. The least he could have done was let us know we had competition. I suppose business is business, but I'd prefer to purchase a vehicle from someone who keeps their word, and communicates clearly. read more
