Will show up to your house randomly soon after you move in and try and talk their way inside. They told me my neighbor had just purchased brinks and they wanted to use us as model houses for the systems. I doubt this is true as they said they would be back the next day for the neighborhood but haven't been back. The solicitor claimed they were from brinks, wore a brinks shirt , and had brinks signs and products. They never once mentioned CRS in their spiel. The only way I found out was the caller Id of their phone had CRS and they hard credit pulled me for services before the technician who was " finishing a neighbors house" came over. I tried to call the number on the sheet they gave me, no answer. I looked up CRS reviews and wow I too have had a shady experience with this company. Avoid! read more

Would not recommend getting service with Brinks and having these people as your installation crew. Nothing about what they say is the truth.They set you up with a whole different payment plan that they don't disclose with you it has interest the equipment isn't free and it's a loan up to seven and a half years. That is the situation that I am going through with them have only had Brinks for 3 months the time of setup I was told 3 year lease and now my third month I received a new bill from greensky regarding my CRS financing ! I asked if he can come back in a few hours and he told me he couldn't because he had to talk to people when were actually interested. Customer since Feb 2013. Installation went well and the equipment is great. Unfortunately their response time is unacceptable. I just had my 3rd alarm drop - all 3 were caused by high winds that triggered the sensors. Each time the security response was so slow that my house would have been cleaned out by the time they arrived. What good is having an alarm system if it takes 1/2 hour to respond to the alarm? They don't even dispatch anyone unless they reach you by phone and you approve it. I can't recommend this company to anyone. read more

My favorite part about the alarm is the fact that i feel like its very safe. also, in my opinion the best part about it is that you can control the alarm system from everywhere you please. theres no limit to connecting to your alarm. as long as you are in some way connected to the internet. its one of the best features in my opinion. the doorbell camera is great feature well. I can see and talk to whoever is at my front door without having to be there. Thinking about our experience today, ew. The only reason I am giving it a 3 is I think everyone and every company has the opportunity to become better. I hate to make it worse for this company. All businesses have a hard time these days. Still wanted to make a few points: The sales guy was nice nice enough but the pitch has to change. The rep said our homes would be "demos" and he wanted to see our homes with his signs in front of our homes...it's a new development. So, I am waiting for this incredible deal.... butt the deal was the same for average person, probably worse. lol. He said we would get $4000 of equipment for free, a monthly of 50, and an installation of 149. That's the deal wherever you go. ADT gives customers a 300 gift card for signing up, the fee is lower. He said not to tell anyone about this awesome deal...Oh, don't worry I won't. The rep states he's a "director" then why is he going door to door? His intro was, "Hi, I know you see our signs everywhere". I am like: "Ahhh...no, I never have" to learn there are 3 people in this housing community has 3 people. So 100 residents and he has a 3% close rate, that's not very good. I just don't like professionals who slam other companies, period. There are pros and cons to every company. Based on the reviews here, obviously. Salespeople do not have to drag other companies in the mud. That is not cool. On another note, when picking a security system that I am signing a contract with it has to be a relationship I can trust. I may look like a dumb chic but I was a sales trainer for many years and then sold Information Technologies and a sales quota of 250k a month..I was also a top producer for 2009 of 2 call centers and out of 100s of reps. So, I know sales. I know the tactics, the ones I do not use. I do not name drop and tell people who has my services. That really is no ones business who my customers are. I respect the privacy of my customers. I do not lie and I just felt like he was lying to me. I do not have to slam other companies but know trues features of other companies and really build the value in my own company, services and what I can do as their rep...I prove I have their back even after the sale. So far the company that was totally professional was Vivint. The rep told me everything about their services, how they were a good company, and the presentation polished, very polished..so much that I never interrupted to ask questions because he explained everything so chronologically and so crisp. When I told him I had to think about it, he didn't switch me to another sales rep who acted like a sales manager who thought he could close me then offered me another gift card. That was ADT. It was pathetic and it was like begging. What a turn off. More so, it was a girl who first gathered my info when I called and then when she couldn't set up the appoint transferred me to a man (like he was the big guns) like he would close it. Well, I pretty much chewed him up and spit him out. Again, I want upfront and honest. The Vivint rep kindly thanked me for my time and said if I had any questions to reach out. He sent an email with his contact info, I felt like I was dealing with a real person. When I said I had to think about it, he didn't change his prices, he didn't try to cheesily try to cox me into doing it. By doing that, I felt like the prices were the same for everyone. I hate feeling like I am working a car deal. Anyway, I will not be using this company. The rep was a nice guy, no doubt about it but nice doesn't get you far especially with someone who knows how "sales" works. I have a business degree and as I mentioned before years of experience. the best transactions are the ones that are simple, give the customer the information, build the value, and act like they are the only person on earth- genuinely. I also didn't appreciate the comment that he referred to my home builder as one that makes "only starter homes for first time buyers". Really? This is my 3rd home and I'm in my mid 40's ...maybe you should go to another neighborhood. Also don;t tell people they can buy monitoring signs from ebay without the monitoring ...at this point not a bad idea for my home that is a starter home...why would anyone rip me off when I live in a POS starter home? Let's just say, a fake sign without the monitoring sounds pretty good right about now...it probably works just as well or better. NO contract or monthly fee. read more

The same shady sales guy that came to Shane R's house came to our home. We just purchased our home and in the process of moving in. Our gated neighborhood does not allow soliciting and he somehow got in. Tried to hard sell a security system and told us how we will likely get robbed. When we told him that we would think about it and to leave us information about the system, he got belligerent with us. Very unprofessional and would never do business with this company. We have a picture of the sales person (he obviously didn't look hard enough but a security system was already in place from the previous owner and we had the contract transferred over to us). I used to have confidence and stand behind Monitronics. Now I must speak out about their empty promises, bait and switch and plain outright poor business practices and customer service. I have had Monitronics for 11 years and have never been treated so poorly by any one business. They do not deliver what they have promised on the phone. In a recent conversation I have had one person to promise something then he transfers me for the 5 th time of what was by the end of my overall phone call an hour and a half wait only to be told by the other person that no we will not do that. Clearly the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Customer service is void in this company. Stay away! everything about these people is a scam! They lie to you from the second you open your door. They told me the whole song and dance about a special deal because they wanted to put a sign in my yard. I thought I would give it a try. Fell for it hook line and sinker. Come to find out the contract that was sold to me, what the salesman had made be think I was agreeing to was not for fifteen months but for FIFTY months. After trying to talk with CRS. (witch by the way is darn near impossible because they refer you to Monitronics.) The people in the office are absolutely useless, and rude. They only care about the fact you were dumb enough to sign the contract. The other fact about this is the service isn't what they make it out to be either. They told me I didn't have to put in window sensors because they installed a motion sensor in the house. I asked how that worked with a cat. I was told that it wasn't an issue if the animal was under 50lbs. Well every time I set the alarm, what a surprise my cat would set if off. The last time it happened I raced home. 42 minutes later a very elderly gentleman knocked on the door, and told me how hard my house was to find. After some small talk found out he was the security guy sent to make sure everything was ok. He didn't look around, or even ask my password. Even after explaining their shortcomings and how the service that was sold to me was not what I had, and wasn't working for me. All CRS could tell me was sorry, we show you signed the contract. It is almost 3 years later, I am now dealing with a collection agency who is the other half of this scam. Please do not make the mistake to deal with this company in any way. read more

Do not use this company or its affiliate Monitronics for your business security system! My shop had both glass break and motion sensors installed, neither of which triggered when my store was broken into after hours! The glass break was a complete failure, and the motions sensors were set to high! The thieves crawled around on the ground, and jumped over counters, and the alarm never went off. I have it all on video. The thieves had over an hour in my shop, and the alarm finally went off when they had to stand up to carry out my 60 inch TV. He didn't leave until we were satisfied with everything. All the cameras and angles were positioned just how we wanted and Roger explained and taught us all we needed to know about the system. Daniel came by my house today pretending he worked for Honeywell (wearing a blue Honeywell hoodie) trying to sell his services. When my husband said he is not interested he was very rude saying, "Well, what am I selling? You don't even know what I'm selling." My husband told him multiple times he was not interested and he continued to be very pushy and rude. After the real people from Honeywell came by and I explained how rude their employee was they informed me he does not even work for that company. read more

When they come knocking on your door, DO NOT OPEN it. They will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to sign a contract with them (not even realizing you are signing a "contract"). Just bought a newly built home. Have been visited by three prior security companies before crs came to our home. I never had a security system so I read reviews and do my research. Each company wanted an answer right then and there except for synergy. I told them all that I wasn't giving them a yes until I reviewed their company and weighed out all they were offering . I didn't want to just say yes when I had no idea what was good or bad. When CRS came he actually had a higher monthly payment and I didn't want a 5 year contract . When he was done I asked if I had to make a decision right then . He smiled and said yes . When I told him I don't make decisions right away. His smile left and was rather rude. When I asked him if he would leave me an estimate he refused and told me I was abusing the system by refusing all the other security companies and he wouldn't support that. He lectured me on how they get small commissions and had families to feed. He then said he would leave his number if I wanted to go with them. People that use this company may or may not get good service . To me if the frontline people are rude and pushy the deal is off. read more

Watch out for these scammers if you are new in the neighborhood. Me and my wife just bought a new home and within days these guys were out prowling. It was very late in the evening after the sun had gone down when these two con artists came knocking. After refusing to leave they said I could be an "advertisement home", just don't tell the neighbors, all I'd have to do is let them in and find a flat surface to write on. Once they basically forced their way in I couldn't get them to leave. They said they could have the system set up the next day just sign the paper, there is no obligation. I told them I wasn't interested, that I didn't want to commit to anything on such short notice. At this point I would do anything to get them to leave so I made a placeholder appointment until I could research more. After these scammers ran a HARD credit pull they had a technician at my door calling my phone late at night trying to get in while me and wife are hiding upstairs. I will be in contact with this company for damaging my credit after lying that there would be no commitment and no credit pull. Very shady company and very bad business practices. read more

Ive had motronics system for 2 years & I'm very pleased with it . I've never had any biking issues . If I had a problem they came out and fixed it right away . Donnie was my salespersons , from the start this guy took care of me . What ever I needed he got it done . Never had any issues with him . He takes customer service to another level . I have referred 4 to 5 customers to him . He always takes care of me by taking care of 1 months bill or adding stuff to my house for free . Like auto a/c control , extra panels and sensors . I was a bit skeptical at first when 2 salesmen knocked on our door. I usually don't take too kindly to solicitors, but I figured I'd give a listen since home security was something I was already considering. Ronnie and Christian were 2 very polite gentlemen and explained the services well. They were not pushy and actually listened and adjusted to our needs. After signing some papers and agreeing to a contract Sergio, the technician, arrived later that night to install the system. It was done cleanly, professionally, and he took the time to explain its features. A couple days later he returned to make sure that the 2 way speaker was working properly and tested the system. The only thing I would suggest to this company is to set up a local office that customers can visit or update their website to where we can make payments and retrieve contract documents. I was a bit hesitant to hand a couple of guys off the street a check for the first month and a voided check to set up the auto payments. From my research, I think its worth noting that the system uses Monitronics and CRS is only an "authorized dealer/provider." read more

Where do I begin? I had a salesman named frank b come to my door 4 times this week and I had just moved in to the southwest. I told him I wanted to settle in first but he kept coming back being so pushy. I got really annoyed with his tactics so I told him to leave and get off my property and that's when he pulled a gun on me. I called the cops but he left. If he comes to your door be careful.
