I honestly shouldn't love and visit Crumbl as much as I do...but I can't help it. First and foremost: if you don't like sweet or super sweet, don't buy their cookies. I remember quite a while back when I first saw the buzz about Crumbl, the only way you could find them is by downloading their app. I thought it was just another marketing scheme to make them so evasive to get. Then their storefronts made it closer and closer to where I lived until eventually a Downey location opened. Crumbl cookies are HUGE and high in calories. They're meant to share. You can purchase one of their cute little cutters that will cut their large cookies in 4 equal parts or you can go old school and use your knife at home. What I love most about Crumbl is how they keep one or two staple flavors (usually chocolate chip and classic pink sugar) on their menu and they bring different flavors every week. I love that!!! So dangerous though... Another thing I love about Crumbl is using their app to order ahead. While their Downey location doesn't have curbside pick up enabled, you can walk in and go straight to the pick up counter. You can notify them via the app that you're there and there's no wait for your cookies. Service is good. The people there are hustling and serving up their delicious cookies made fresh. I was a little reluctant to try Crumbl since the reviews were mixed, but I'm so glad I finally did. Crumbl cookies may not be for everyone but we love them! Happy they're in Downey. read more

They typically run out of the popular cookies and shut off the ability to order for hours. It's a pretty small location so it does get busy and the crowds crowd inside while they wait for cookies. The staff here is awful. No smiles or greeting when I arrived, and they just handed me my pickup order without telling me they substituted two flavors with flavors I didn't order. I didn't notice until I left because my kids and husband were waiting for me and I trusted they got my order right since there was no communication and the store was not busy at all. The flavor I ordered that they replaced was still available after I left, so it wasn't sold out. Not only did they get my pickup order wrong, the cookies were hard and dry. There were 4-6 workers just standing around talking and listening to loud music... Since this was my first time ever trying Crumbl cookies I doubt I'll ever be back. Terrible service and less than mediocre cookies for $30+. I was going to call and complain but I doubt the kids they have running this shop would care. Management, you should look into replacing your staff. They can't make good cookies nor can they even provide a smile or "have a good day". These cookies aren't cheap and it's disappointing that you allow people to spend their hard earned money here when this is what they're getting. I come almost weekly but always have to worry about cookies being out of stock. I have to place my order 20 min before i actually arrive to ensure I will have my cookies but even that does not guarantee anything, sometimes they are still out of stock when I arrive. I will wait out until another batch comes out because I don't want to wait for a refund. The times I dont go im probably going to the Hawthorne or Cerritos location. The other stores never have an out of stock issue. Its Thursday 830 pm and this store is out of stock of nearly every cookie but I checked the other stores and none other are having an issue (at most 1 out of stock). This has to be a management issue, at my experience working for Starbucks, the manager was lacking poor management skills and never placed correct or enough supply orders to meet demand. We know she was the issue because all of the nearby Starbucks would talk to one another, managers and employees. Message to regional manager, reevaluate supply & demand at THIS location, oh and reevaluate the store manager. Theres no way this store is profiting more than the others. 2 stars because its the closest to home but have to go out of way to go to other locations due to stock issues. read more

This was my first time trying cookies from Crumbl and they were DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!! I like how there is a kiosk to place your order because I would've been standing in front of a cashier for a lot longer than needed trying to decide what to try. It was very easy to use and because of the limited amount of cookie selection made it quick to pick. I thought it was going to take a long time to get my order but before I knew it they were calling my name and I was off to enjoy them. It was a little underwhelming. I wanted to get the smaller cookies but you can only get those if you order the party pack. From a business standpoint it makes sense. Make us buy the larger ones at a higher price and not the smaller ones unless in bulk. They come hot from the warmer or oven. Points for that! Pretty gigantic. Still soft on the inside which I guess is the reason people either love or hate this place. I prefer my cookies a it more crisp. But with how THICC these cookies are I'm not sure it's possible. We got the Kentucky butter cake, classic chocolate chip, peanut butter banana on oatmeal, and the circus animal. Chocolate chip was Classic so was my fave.what's not to like? Kentucky butter is really buttery. Not too sweet. I probably wouldn't get it again since I could taste the butter. But it still like it better than the next two which were too sweet for me. The circus animal was MEGA SWEET. Sugar cookie with sprinkles and thin layer of VERY sweet frosting. Would not get again. The peanut butter banana on oatmeal was good but also too sweet for my liking. The oatmeal cookie itself was good. But there was too much banana frosting. The frosting was almost the same thickness as the cookie. Too much for me. The peanut butter drizzle was just enough. I think I would have liked this if they went easier on the frosting because it was too sweet. Anyway this was my first time here. I'm not sure I'm coming back given how sweet everything was.
