Been here a handful of times. Noticeable things. When they first opened, I used the restroom in the basement and when I returned to my table I told my husband that I had pulled my mace out cause it was a place full of blind spots to get kidnapped or raped. Sure enough, like a year later maybe less, someone tried to snatch a girl there. Also, they have a beautiful bar. So pretty, I couldn't get to it order. They now have valet parking. I've been rather disappointed the last three times I've been to Crush for dinner. (2018) For the price, the servings are almost as if I was on a starvation diet. For instance, Crush had a scallop special for about $21.00. There were only three medium-sized scallops. The Margherita pizza was pedantic with a dearth of toppings. For the price, I would not recommend it. My last visit was for Thanksgiving dinner 2018, which I loved. Great staff attention and wonderfully prepared items. Staff is very professional. I love the valet parking as there are times when parking downtown is difficult. Overall, bring a hefty wallet. Enjoy the bar and wine list. Crush is often loud, crowded with long waits for a table on weekends. From the industrial ceiling to the concrete floors, it is not an intimate dining experience. The TV at the bar and mood lighting are other examples of Crush not being able to pull off a consistent ambiance. The food itself is good, but not great. Entrees run from $16 to $38. We celebrated my son's 21st birthday at Crush last week and couldn't have been happier. We were a party of 7, family and friends, and everyone came away very happy and well taken care of. Everyone we dealt with, from the front-of-house staff, to our primary server and the others who helped out -- all of them made a great impression, really friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. Okay, I must admit the service wasn't 100% perfect, but they went over-and-above to correct a couple minor issues that they noticed first and we wouldn't even have worried about it. Had a couple good veggie appetizers, and appreciated the beer-on-tap selection. We were all in the mood for pizzas and they were all tasty - just wish I could say something about the other entrees but we'll have to try those next time. Ok, I will admit I have never thought of Crush when I want a great steak. Tonight however I chose the ribeye from the menus and am completely blown away. This is the best steak I've had to memory , hands down. Melt in your mouth delicious explosion with a hint of fire smoke flavor. If you haven't tried the ribeye and typically order pasta at Crush like myself, do yourself a favor and try one next time. The graten potatoes are on point as well. Crush has quickly become our favorite place to have a nice dinner out. Their Wine Wednesday allows us to enjoy a nice bottle on wine at 30% off. Service is always wonderful and staff are friendly, from the hostess all the way to the very wine knowledgeable restaurant manager. Their hand made pasta and pizzas are to die for. Desserts are always on point and I don't think we've ever had a bad meal there. Staff really takes care of you. We recently went on wine Wednesday without a reservation but we're lucky enough to get a seat at the pizza bar. We enjoyed watching the pizzas being made which was pretty much dinner and a show. Needless to say, the drink was AMAZING- so amazing, I had to order a couple of them. It was so good they should add it to their menu (as a seasonal specialty drink, due to the fruits involved). The second experience at Crush was much better then the first, for sure. The crowd isn't your typical college stupidly wastey faced crowd, which is refreshing. A little more upscale which is just what Chico needs. I really like Crush. I have been to happy hour a few times and enjoyed dinner in the dining area once. I enjoy the bar area seating and would like to try their outside seating when the weather permits. I have had their calamari, bruschetta, meatballs, and a couple others things I can not recall. The large lounge area had small pillows, for lumbar support of course. (Gosh, I'm getting old). It had a view of the well stocked bar. The pizza came out quickly and HOT! The freshly made crust wasn't too thin and the pizza was delicious! If all their pizza offerings were this good, I highly recommend trying a few and sharing them with friends. Next came out the bone marrow. Visited Crush for Mom's weekend and loved it. Let me first say that I tried to talk my daughter out of going here for dinner only because Italian food is not my favorite. Clearly I have been eating Italian food at the wrong restaurants. Although I didn't have true Italian food, I did try my daughters fettuccine Alfredo and it was excellent. Moving on to my meal....seriously one of the best ribeye steaks I have ever had! The Caesar salad was also amazing. I have been here a few times. It's one of the fancier places in town which also makes it pretty pricey. It's white table clothes and low lighting. They have a bar/lounge area indoor as well as dining area and patio. The menu isn't large but they have a great selection of food for everyone. I've had the Crush Bruschetta, which was delicious. $13 was a little much though since they only gave us 3 pieces of bread. For dinner I had two different pizzas and each were amazing. Service was fairly quick and the server was knowledgable and took great care of us. It's not a loud place but it does get busy on the weekends during dinner. You'll see both college students and locals dining amongst one another during happy hour, which is when most of my friends like to go. They say they have great deals. I first heard about crush from their instagram account, so I took my mom this weekend and we loved it! If you go on the weekend I suggest making a reservation because there was an hour and a half wait! But we were able to find a seat at the bar and had amazing service. Our bartender Rachelle did a great job. She was extremely nice and even got us an extra bar chair when there wasn't enough room for our party. The food there was amazing. We started off with the meatballs and the garlic bread and my only complaint is that there wasn't more! I had the chicken parmigiana and it was the best I've ever had. Great portion size and tasty. Our first time at Crush. We do not live in Chico, but knew it was one of the best in a Chico and were looking forward to our experience. First the food: EXCELLENT portions and quality and flavor VERY good. And I asked for a substitute side and this was no issue. Atmosphere: fairly good we had reservations and were hoping for a better table than right by the hostess station but we seated so it was at our back. Bathrooms: the walk down three flights of stairs or an elevator was a surprise, then found them in terrible condition and dirty. Service: my biggest issue. Nice waiter who was trying too hard to be formal and seemed distracted OR disinterested. He took our drink orders, then returned to ask again what my husband wanted. Then He took my dinner order first and we discussed a substitute for the side, then he took my husbands order, then addressed me again and asked for my order. Hello? Then he realized I had already ordered. Later, we asked for more bread and the same waiter was more interested in visiting with the neighboring table and clearly forgot. We had to remind him. Salads: we were offered ground pepper by a busboy and my husband had to tell him that the Lady should be offered first. Not a big deal, but an easy fix that makes a great impression, rather than the opposite. We will be back. I just hope we get a different waiter. read more

Crush never ever disappoints! Their food is always delicious and their staff is always phenomenal. My friends and I went last night and unfortunately sat next to some unruly guests that did not hold their composure well after one too many drinks. After some unkind words that were expressed towards us for whatever reason, Josh and his staff quickly squashed the situation and escorted the guests out in a professional manner. Various employees along with Josh checked in with us multiple times and even offered us free appetizers due to the unfortunate interaction.
