I was hoping to order online and pickup but via Yelp it only lets you order for the next day. Quick, casual pickup of good food. I'm glad they are in my neighborhood. I've been coming here weekly and I love this place. Uptown and Frisco locations have be solid and I've left 5 star reviews. This Friday, I waited 45 minutes for a fried rice and the other 4 dishes were ready and waiting. The cooks had the worst "shrug your shoulder attitude. No flavor and everything was saturated in oil. I ordered the Pad Kee Mow with Tofu and what I thought was a HUGE portion was actually a bunch of vegetables (mainly huge chunks of bell peppers) topped w/ a handful of noodles. Honestly, I'm glad they didn't give me a lot because I would've felt bad for wasting the food. If you want real Thai food, not only are there other restaurants to go too in the Dallas area, but Sundays at the Thai temple, they sell freshly made, authentic thai food until about 1pm. I often don't like Thai too much because it can be too noodle, but this tasted fresh and mixed with a lot of good vegetable pairings. I have gotten their orange curry before too, which is incredible. I spent a month this summer backpacking around Southeast Asia, so when I saw this cute Thai place just around the corner from my new apartment, I couldn't wait to check it out! The menu isn't large but has all the essentials, and I liked that I could accompany my meal with a Chang beer. The interior was cute too with plenty of seating, and the service was incredibly fast. I will admit though I was a bit disappointed in the flavor of some of the dishes. The Tom Kha was good but not nearly as delicious as others I've had, and the papaya salad was not close to the flavorful, spicy ones I enjoyed this summer. Another dish I tried was the tofu spring rolls, which were decent but not anything too memorable. I think the best dish was the Kra Pao, which was very flavorful and had just the right amount of heat. All in all, I think I was personally let down because I just enjoyed so many of these incredible dishes in their homeland and had super high expectations, but I think CrushCraft still had decent renditions and that most diners would be satisfied. read more

Salad was pretty good as well although hard to mix up in the bowl it's served in. The presentation though is worth it - One pretty looking salad. Wasn't a fan of whatever salt was added with the cashews in to the salad, didn't think it was necessary. They had a selection of sauces available and they were all spicy aside from one that was mostly oil-based. Would appreciate a mild/sweet option for the future to go with a different dish. pah kee maow? i dont remember how to spell it, but i do remember it was kinda tasty. i do have some gripes though. i have been to thai restaurants that give WAY more when it comes to portion sizes. and a lot more noodles too. felt kinda jipped there. also, the spice level was intense. its a good idea to warn customers or even, GIVE AN OPTION for spice level. cashier didnt mention either of these and im not big on spice. i like to actually taste my food. not get to the point where its so spicy i dont even want to eat it. Let me tell y'all about this one. The first time I went they gave me some chicken but I swear it was put in a dehydrater before it was served on my pad Thai. The next time I went I asked for it again and the chicken was yet again chicken jerky. Oh well. This is my first time trying Thai food and I have to say I am impressed. My boyfriend works nearby and brung me home some Thai fried rice. I love it! The chicken is flavored, the rice is soooo good. There's a nice balance with sweet, tangy, and a freshness from the cucumbers. I usually don't eat them but they somehow fit the dish. His is a great Thai place to either pick up food from or take to-go. It's also walking distance from our apartment which is a plus. It's got a lot of Yelp reviews and 4 stars so I can understand why. To start they have a really good happy hour. And they have $1 Thai beers when we were there. (In bottles). That's unheard of in this area. The food is really good. And it's a great portion size. I got the pad thai (pretty much my go to) and wife got a curry dish. They have a sauce bar where you can make a concoction to go. Pretty sweet! Location is great. Right off Cedar Springs and close to McKinney Ave. The restaurant itself is large and has a big patio. Now that it's getting colder out side and fall is here we might have to go and check out the patio. All things included I would add this to a list of places to try if you are in the area or want Thai food. Good food! There is tons of flavor and it's always fresh. As a vegetarian, it's great that they can basically sub tofu for anything on the menu. The spring rolls are amazing! Their kra-pow is my favorite as it's super flavorful and the tofu ends up tasting so yummy. If you can't handle spice, I'd ask them to make things medium or mild spice as the kra-pow is a POW of spice that will deter you from being able to actually finish your bowl. read more

I work in uptown, and am damn glad that Crushcraft is in walking distance. I'm here a few times a month, at least. Good, solid Thai food with ample portions. Food comes out pretty quickly, so you can get back to the office if necessary. And I love the spice bar; chili oils, crushed pepers, and various other things to doctor your dish up. Don't sleep on the yum gai. I order this for lunch pretty often. It's supposed to be lettuce wraps, but I end up just chopping it up and adding some of the hot stuff from the spice bar. The food came very quickly on a week night :) If you can handle spice well I'd say extra spice is good for you and if you just like spice in general then medium spice. Small menu but SUPER good. They use quality ingredients and as well as authentic flavors and it really makes a difference. Their pad thai is so much better than the usual small restaurants you may typically buy from. Their rice bowls were also very good, my favorite was the steak bowl. It was such good steak, well done and I was hooked. They also have boba drinks and their thai tea was also very good. It's common to have a line during lunch rush/dinner but they move pretty fast and get orders out fairly quickly too. Their staff was really kind and helpful. They were all smiling and were so sweet. They actually messed up one of our orders and gave us a different rice dish, so they refunded us for the wrong dish and gave us the correct order for free. Grilled beef pork meatballs are not grilled. They do not taste or smell good. Cabbage salad and peanuts are included. The peanuts are good. Thai tea is too sweet. I finished half, dumped more ice and unsweetened tea in there to a full cup. Service is good. Open until 3am on Fri and Sat. read more

This is the best, most authentic Thai restaurant in all of DFW, and probably all of TX. Nowhere in Austin or SA comes close to this place. Everything on the menu is delicious. They use quality ingredients, and stay true to the original Thai recipes. So many Thai restaurants get Thai food totally wrong -- it's sad, because Thailand has beautiful cuisine that most restaurants unfortunately have bastardized in the name of following a quick and easy money-making trend of appealing to the most generic palate imaginable. We stopped by after a few drinks for a late night bite and were excited that there was even a Thai option that late! Coming from OH this was something new. Crushcraft had a really cool vibe and atmosphere. There are supplies strewn around and cardboard and license plates pressed against the wall. It sounds really eclectic and packed but it really enhances the theme of street Thai food. The dining space was great, there is a rotunda as the main focal point and an outdoor patio area as well. Though it feels like there's a lot going on, there is plenty of seating. It was a nice night so we grabbed a table outside. The way Crushcraft works is you order up front and they will call your name once the food is ready. We were a party of 5 and our food came out pretty quickly. One of my big selling points was their little Thai condiments bar with lots of options I was surprised to see: done up fish sauce, a few spicy dips, and a few others. Chipotle of Thai food so basically White Thai food. Hence the high reviews and looking around, everyone is in yoga pants, whale pants, or something similar. Descent flavor but small portions. The drunken noodles is mainly onions and Thai basil so it tastes very anisey and strong. The koi soi has a good curry flavor but what an odd choice to serve with noodles. You're left with all this leftover sauce and no rice to soak up the coconut milk. The decor is weird and doesn't make any sense. There is a hodge-podge of different chairs. And bathroom paper towels for napkins. Um, I guess this is a hipster thing to do... Oh and service is absolutely terrible. The broads serving the food were rude and the cook didn't do a good job just assembling what clearly were pre-made mixes. Dude, measure the vegetables and just heat up the food- that's your only job.
