A salad and pizza joint is a great concept. If the little devil on your shoulder has his way, then it's all about some pizza. If the little angel wins the tug of war, you'll be getting a great tasting salad. The quality of the food is more like 4 stars while the price is firmly in the 2 star range. You can get a great salad here with all kinds of great meats (salmon, yum), veggies, cheeses, and other great toppings (hello Kalamata olives); or a pizza that's about the equivalent of a small pizza elsewhere with all the same toppings. But most of the entrees start around $8-$10 and can end up being significantly more with extras. On my lone venture here thus far, I got a pepperoni pizza and a small salad with a water and it ended up being $20 before a tip. Is it worth it? That's up to you, but don't be shocked to drop close to that on a decent portion size meal and even more so if you get a beer or wine as your drink. read more

Like Chipotle for pizza and - you can customize your order. The ordering process is very confusing, and it causes a backlog of people out the door. We stood and waited for our salads for 5 minutes, then paid for everything, but our soup was brought out once we were at our table. Food is not bad. I had the salmon salad with a cup of butternut squash soup, which was very good. Liked the 3 iced tea options, and that they have wine. Saw they had a Torn Label option on tap, which was cool. Terrible dressing like the kind that comes in bottles. No easier way to totally ruin a salad unless you load up the salad with croutons that taste fishy. Literally like fish. Really a salad place should make fresh dressing. Service is non-existent unless you are a mind reader. You will approach the first of a series of ordering stations and face a mute who offers not a word of guidance nor asks how she may help you. You must just guess at how the complicated assembly line works. But when you get to the end of the road where you pay, they will be happy to tell you everything what you may have done wrong. Two of us tried Crushed Red for the first time. Friday evening at 5pm. I built my own salad and was very happy with it and its size. My friend got the southwest salad and the lentil soup and enjoyed both. We split a goat cheese bread plate. Everything was fresh and delicious! It wasn't busy when we arrived but it picked up in an hour's time. It appears as a fast food joint from the outside but inside is a cafe feel. We liked the flavored teas also. This location opened today and I will say that it gives a healthier option in the midst of all that's not. I ordered a make my own salad. They have a wide variety of toppings for your salad. You could probably eat here daily for six months and not have the exact same salad. Sounds great for a workout eat healthy junkie like myself. Customer service was wonderful as to be expected for opening day. They have a assembly line going on in here hahaha. They chop your salads in front of you which is great. The one and only problem I had was the dressing. I had the ranch which is mayonnaise based and you can taste it. I did not like that at all to much mayo on my palette. This should be changed immediately because ranch is the go to dressing for most. The inside was nicely laid out with spacious seating. Will be back just will get another dressing. This is the first time I've left a negative review for any restaurant on Yelp.....I drove 15 minutes to and from my office to pick up an online order. There's no pick-up sign and a 30 person line to the door. When I asked a staff person where to pick up my order I was told "just wait", which defeats the entire purpose of online ordering. I requested help again, got my food, checked it was all in the bag, and made it back to the office just in time for a meeting. I'm a vegetarian. I've ordered "This Pear is on Fire" salad three times from Crushed Red and requested No Bacon all three times. However, two out of my three salads were riddled with bacon. I thought I'd give you guys one last chance. This time, I specified "No Bacon" and added "No bacon on the salad" in the special comments section. Nope...literally full of bacon. Honestly, I think this is one of the best salads in the area....it's unfortunate I can't seem to order from you anymore. I would really like for someone to rectify this situation so I can continue supporting your business. Also, it's concerning that no one seems to be looking at tickets. The salads just aren't very good. Over dressed, lack luster greens and low quality ingredients, that's what you can expect from this place. I can do better at the hen house salad bar for half the price. I agree with other reviewers that the prices seem high, the ordering system is unnecessarily confusing and the wait times are too long to be standing in line. I will say the flavor of the hummus was on point. We did not try the pizzas. We may give it another shot, definitely calling ahead to order next time though. read more

Checked it out today. Ordered soup. Took 10 min to get cold soup. They said they couldn't heat up the soup . Waited for a second cup that was even colder. No problem went to cash register to get money back but they said they needed a second manger to give me my 5 bucks back. At this point I cut my losses and let them keep the money. I liked thus place they have a lot of options. The salads were good and although they looked small in the bowl it was quite a bit and had me chewing for awhile. All salds are $10 for the big size and you can do pick two type of options and get a small salad as well. The ingredients seem to be quality. I only dock this place stars because it seems only high schoolers run it, they arent helpful or friendly, nor do they keep the dining area clean. Several workers were standing around in the back and could have come out to clean. There were dirty tables and lettuce all over the floor. The food was good and everyone working was great! There was some guy however who just stood by the counter starring at everyone, and at one point said no to someone when asked to do the dishes . He says it's not his thing. Well that's just rude and frankly him standing there just glaring at everyone and looking like he hates his job and life kind of ruins the experience. Plus, I think the bathroom must be his new home because he was going in there constantly probably just to look at his phone instead of doing actual work. Others in the dining room noticed his odd behavior and stares. I really hope you're not wasting much money on him. I'd recommend maybe having an extra cashier on at a time instead so they can get customer service continuing to be great while also requiring them to do the cleaning of the dining room. I really liked the salad here. It reminded me of the mixx, except they let you get pretty much as many mix-ins you want, as opposed to limiting you to three and then charging you for each additional one (though stuff like proteins and avocado still have an upcharge, which is fine). The ingredients are fresh, and I also like the fact that they chop up their salads, which enables you to get a good mixture of your ingredients in each bite, and you never have a chunk of something too big on your fork. The red pepper vinaigrette is really good. That said, they have GOT to figure something out with the service. If there are 3 or more people in line for salad, I'll just turn around and not bother. It takes the employees like 7 minutes to make each salad, and I've never seen them have more than 2 salads going at the same time. In fact, one time I was in there and was ordering two different salads to go, and they completely made one of them and then asked me which one I'd like for the second salad and then made that one separately, it took forever. There's got to be a way to streamline that process. If there's like 3 people in line, you could be standing there for upwards of 15 minutes waiting to tell someone what kind of salad you even want, not to mention stand there some more while they make it. At the very least, you should be able to write down or enter your order on some kind of touch screen, go pay for it, and then sit down and have it brought to you instead of tarrying and waiting for a teenager to figure out how to cut up a jalapeno. Crushed Red, if you can resolve this problem, I'll be in there once a week, if not more. And I'll change this thing to five stars. read more

That place is so unorganized the girl took our order and I went down to pay and they did not have the order. They said I need to place the order with the salad person. There was only one person there. Six people around the cash register. So the cashier got our salads were in the to go containers and they tasted old and crushed in the container. So. Gross. Nope, never EVER again. I had the Tuesday pick 2 deal. It was almost $14 & SO not worth it. The amount of food you get was small, and the taste was even less!! My Yukon steak pizza had way to much sauce and spice. It was literally COVERED in rosemary, so much it looked like they spilled the bottle on it. It was intense tasting and cringe worthy. I kept hoping it would get better, but it just kept getting worse. It was soggy and had alot of flour on crust! Flour was everywhere. And then, the salad. The salad was also soggy and in a tiny container. The dressing tasted like coleslaw with cayenne pepper dumped in it. I don't know if my eyes were watering more from how gross it was or how overly hot/spiced it was. This pear is on fire, is the name, but really I just wanted to light my salad on fire and never see it again. I don't write many reviews but feel compelled after my experience at Crushed Red on Roe on Monday, April 15th. This was first time to try Crushed Red and I wanted to like it. I ordered a small cobb salad and got deathly ill about 8 hours after eating it. I feel compelled to tell someone that there had to have been bad or unwashed lettuce or something in that salad. My hope is that someone will take this into consideration and make necessary changes so that others do not also get sick. read more

We had the Tunapolooza and the Salmon salad to go. Both were fresh and tasty and no problems with substitutions. Prices were ok-a little on the higher side The tuna was fantastic-fresh and moist. The salmon was pretty dry. Very friendly chef and the place was clean. I have been excited to try this place and finally got the chance. My plan was to order my food to go to eat with my friend who was coming over for lunch. I was happy an employee was at the front of the line telling me what to do or I would of been confused. I ordered the shareable goat cheese, the mini spiced pear salad and mini berry crunch salad. The goat cheese was yummy. We both liked the salads.... the spiced pear was hard to beat. The dressing is very spicy- I guess hence the name! Ordering 2 mini salads and an app was plenty for us to share. I could see when they get really busy things could get backed up in the salad line. I wasn't in a rush so it didn't bother me but I definitely waited a bit to order my salad and it had only opened 5-10 min before.
