We were pleasantly surprised by this pizza restaurant. The staff was welcoming and courteous. Our waitress made sure we found a beer we liked. She checked on us several times during our meal but was not hovering. We had the Thai chicken wings and Eggplant pizza. The wings were hot, crispy and perfectly cooked. The Thai sauce was just the right ratio of spicy and sweet. Loved the crust, sauce and fried eggplant on pizza. If anything, there was too much ricotta under each slice of eggplant . I'm interested to try the Sharpsburg branch of Crust and Craft. This is a great place for families, groups and date night! read more

We tried Crust and Craft for the first time the other week and wow! We are born and raised in New York/Pennsylvania so we're already pizza snobs. The vibe was nice, service was good, selection of beers were good as well. We ordered a Caesar Salad and the Mama's meatball pizza. Salad was la normal Caesar salad nothing super exciting but it was still good, we ordered a large which was big enough for us to split. We also got Blind Pirate IPA's which we highly recommend. The mama's meatballs pizza was SO good though, we were loving it and we even asked if they do bigger pizzas for takeout (they don't) but we will definitely be back for more pizza trying! The only thing we wish is that there was more of a restriction with distancing per social distancing guidelines, the place was TOO packed. We even tried to go on a weekday to counteract it because we tried on a weeknight before and they were smushed like sardines. We didn't make a fuss, we just protected ourselves. I wanted to give the place four stars but the experience was not a four or five star experience. We waited over ten minutes in front of the hostess stand (while she was standing there) before we were acknowledged. We ignored that, ordered our food and asked about drinks. We were told the best thing to do was to get the drinks from the bar because she was too young to give information about the drinks. We go to the bar and sit and order drinks while we wait the 15-20 minutes we were told to wait for the food. We sat at the bar, ordered, and drank our drinks and and no one ever brought our food out to us. We finally inquired about our food (over an hour later). The food (according to the receipt) was finished at 8:20, we received it at 9:25 and of course it was cold. I went to speak to the manager (Joy) about the order being cold and over an hour between the time it was finished until the time we received it and her first statement was "First of All"!! That immediately upset me, and professionally, was the wrong way to come at a customer as the initial statement after a legitimate concern. Whether she felt like she didn't like how I said what I said, she did not handle the situation in the way of an effective manager. I received a refund and won't be back!!! read more

Love the ambiance, it's not often we get something like this on the south side. I can definitely see this as a go-to Saturday night spot. Service was warm and welcoming, and pretty speedy considering a Saturday night. I had the Hawaiian and the French dip. Both were tasty. The Mcdodough (I think that's it) bread rolls were so good. Asked repeatedly to lower the music and they would turn is back up. Not the cheapest place little pricey for the product. we were really looking forward to Crust and Craft. When we arrived, they were not busy at all and we got the thumbs up to sit outside. The table was filthy, the floor was littered with trash and crumbs, very unappetizing, and then was wiped down with a dirty used bar towel. The first thing our waiter said, when he finally came outside, was "Oh, I guess you didn't go in first." We requested water, no ice and menus which we didn't get until 9 min later and which was full of ice. When the waiter handed us our menus, there was no eye contact, no questions, no inquiries, nothing said whatsoever, he just handed them to me and immediately walked away. Totally disappointed. We've been there several times since they opened. Up until the the past few times we've absolutely loved it. The staff,the food, the atmosphere were a very pleasant addition to the square. However the unpleasant visits are starting to pile up and after this evening I'm not sure we'll be back. Thursday is not usually busy at most places and this location was no exception. The group outside at the open patio was obnoxiously loud to the point it could be heard through the entire restaurant. We went to the hostess stand to be seated and waited an unusually long time to be seated, again there were only about seven people in the place. As we sat at our table the bartender was cleaning the bar and her station never acknowledging our presence and just disappeared. After ten or fifteen minutes went by with no one coming by to take our order we decided to leave. As we were leaving a young lady ask "are you leaving?" when we replied yes she simply said "fine" and walked off. In the past we have recommended this place to many of friends as nice breath of fresh air for them to try, we were met with mixed reviews but kept coming once a week or so. Now it seems that this restaurant has fallen to the oh well attitude and lack customer importance that seems to plague the industry these days. A true shame this place used to be the diamond in the rough. read more
