We tried this place as option 2 one Saturday morning. The service is 5 star. Sadly they were busy and short handed. Our order took forever, some items were unavailable and CV then the order was served and found to be incorrect. I will say that I believe the experience was not to our expectation, however we strongly believe this was related to the staff shortage. EVERYONE had a great attitude, they were very apologetic. The owner/manager seemed a bit stressed and was getting onto the servers, I think he should have been more "team oriented", would have helped. read more

Where to begin? Everything about Crust & Crumb was amazing. The service was great and the food was excellent. There was someone outside telling people about the specials and would talk about the different bread that was available outside. The service was very attentive. And the food was delicious!! I had the pulled pork sandwich and shared the spinach salad with my wife. She and kids all had pizza and they all loved it. Then afterwards we got football cookies (Super Bowl time), which were also tasty. My girls and I are here for lunch today. There was no outdoor seating available so they added a table outdoors for us! The customer service was amazing. Wait, I haven't reviewed this place yet? Well it's wonderful. Crust & Crumb is an incredibly needed artisan pizza restaurant. Obviously I could go on about the handmade pizzas with dough made in the bakery, however something which my girlfriend and I have found tremendous value in are the salads. Ordering a pizza and a salad will leave two people remarkably full and satisfied. The decor is nice with a cute shaded outdoor area and beautiful photos of Turlock from a local photographer adorning the interior. Yikes!! please beware of this place , I decided to try this place out for the first time. I have eaten in every restaurant in Turlock and tried every pizza spot , literally every spot and this place is by far the worst , red flags every where , as soon as I walked in there was a weird smell I couldn't put my figure on it.. but not clean that's for sure , that should have been my first reason to walk out , but we didn't so we gave it a try . we ordered two slices of pizza and (5)wings came up two 18 bucks oh... k....as much as a med/ large pizza any where else but ok , took about 30min witch is crazy to me . but ok no big deal right ?... so we finally get our food , and I tried a wing, took one bite ..and of course there cold , so didn't make a big deal about it, they took it back, 10mins later it cam back...and here's where I'm stunned , the one wing I took a bite of came back ...........yes, was still on the plate ...instead of making a new batch of 5!! little wings ..they took the wings and ether put it the microwave .. or I really hope to god they didn't do this but put it back in there oven or fryer ....I was like wow! ok they didn't want to make a new order, ok fine .. took one bite of a wing and was taste less! no flavor dry as hell .. to top of that the slice of pizza I got the chicken was uncooked ..pink .. so my goal is to detour people from visiting this place, if I can save some one 20,00 bucks that would be like get my money back , if I could I would give this place negative stars . .... also rest rooms are dirty. read more

We stopped by on a whim, we would usually eat next door but we had heard a lot of talk about the Crust and Crumb! We eat a LOT of pizza in our household so we know pizza. We do Papa Murphys a lot but go every other place in town including Mountain Mikes a lot. I honestly feel like this place is going for a somewhat gourmet spin on pizza and therefore the price point is a little higher ($18 for a 12 inch generally) but we got black olive and artichoke which is what I like anywhere I go. See pics. It came out piping hot and I loved every bite. It was cheesy and the flavor was good. For me I like my pizza a little lighter on sauce and deeper in cheese and topping and this hits that. I loved it. Mateo ate every bite and I felt that for a ten year old that was a great sign. The price is on the high side and thats the only reason i didn't give a five but I may adjust this with our next visit as I like the atmosphere and they were very friendly and nice to us. We were only here for lunch but I saw quite a few baked goods and breads and items for dessert and breakfast type items in the bakery area. I bet they are delicous and will try next time. My son decided to purchase a chocolate chip cookie, which as predicted was so moist and delicious. ($2.25) And big. So they offered us a free soda refill to go and told us that their ribbon cutting Grand Opening Ceremony will be this Friday July 1st all day, with the main event at 4:30pm. Love this newer addition to Turlock, the owners are super sweet and go out of their way to check in with you about your meal. They also bring around little cookies for dessert occasionally, and one time they let my toddler pick out a free loaf of day-old bread to take home. The only minor complaint would be that usually when I meet my husband there for lunch, they are out of the sandwich he wants so he has to order something else. Breakfast sandwiches are great, salads and dressings are delicious and my fave is the pulled pork sandwich. read more

So good! I got a spinach salad with chicken and it was so delicious!! My husband got the combo pizza for himself, and he thought it was great! We got a margherita pizza to share and although it tasted more like regular cheese pizza with a couple basil leaves thrown on top, it was still good :)! Staff is so friendly, too. Went here today with my family. I've been hearing a lot positive feedback about this place. When I went and tried it out, I was sadly disappointed. We ordered a pizza and between my husband, our 2 year old and my self the pizza was TINY! We honestly thought they made us an appetizer because of the size. First time here was last week for a work lunch meeting and all I have to say is I will definitely be coming back! The moment you approach the place you are greeted with a warm smile by the employees. The menu has a variety of items to choose from. We ordered the buffalo chicken pizza which was amazing, our friend tried out a sandwich which he liked as well and then a salad was ordered which came with fresh fruit and bread. The food was delicious and well crafted. Super fresh and full of taste. In regards to seating you have the option to seat inside or outside it's up to you. I'm so sad! I wanted to like this place so so much, but I cannot. I ordered the Thursday night special which was a brisket with a vegetable side and corn muffin for $15. My plate was slightly cold when it arrived after waiting for it for over 30 minutes. The brussel sprouts were over cooked and my brisket was sooooo sooo fatty I couldnt eat it. The service was aweful but there was an older guy with a full beard and mustache who kept coming from the back to check on people and help serve. Owner maybe? He was so kind and the reason for the extra stars. All of the young wait staff seemed like it was their first day on the job. No refills at all. I had to go up to the counter and remind them about our dessert.they forgot to turn on the outside lights so we were sitting in the dark for a while. We sat at a dirty table and the younger staff just kept walking by without clearing it. The older gentleman finally had to come over and do it himself. I came here with my cousin because of the rave reviews from her friends. This place is great! We got half pepperoni half Greek pizza. The Greek pizza was delicious. I didn't try the pepperoni but my cousin liked it. Now this place definitely gets 5 stars for great food and service. The owner is super nice and gave us free drinks and cake for my birthday! I loved this little treasure of a cafe pizza bakery.The BBQ rib pizza was so very yummy, loved the thin crust.
