Sadly- Mid. I was really excited to try this place . We ordered a thin crust /uncle Lou. And the Sicilian. We wanted to try both are thin and thick. The thick crust Sicilian came out first. My first impression was that it seemed skimpy for the toppings. But here's where we ran into a problem. The crust was cold in the middle. We didn't bother trying to send it back. We're just not gonna do that. It's pizza and it wasn't gross or anything. What I think is that possibly they pre-baked the crust because it was thick and maybe it takes a long time. And then they add the toppings and reheat it. I don't know of any other reason why it would be cold in the middle. And I don't mean it just wasn't hot. In the middle, it was actually cold. We were gonna take a bunch of pizza home anyways, and when we reheated it, it was fine The second pizza with the thin crust, both my husband and I really liked the crust. My husband ordered buffalo wings and he said they were delicious I really enjoyed the two dollar cannoli Price versus quality I don't think we'll be going back

We had a busy evening of running some errands & luckily that is what brought us here at Crust Pizzeria... OMG is all I can say! As we were driving over to the store I called in my order & the girl who took my order was very polite, said it'd be ready within 20 minutes! I went in to what was your typical little pizzeria that FYI smelled amazing .... plus it also had a full bar if you wanted yourself a cocktail! A nice young man took care of me & I was on my way with my pizza with wings.... Off to the tasting!! Well the results are in, we will definitely be going back to Crust Pizzeria... okay I'm a born & raised Long Island girl, that was some awesome pizza is the only way I can put it! Yes there's so many different styles of pizza in this generation but as for NY pizza there's just a certain way to do it & Crust Pizzeria does it pretty darn good... LOVE IT! :-)

Another trusted Yelper wrote a glowing review of this place, so I stopped in to give this place a try. Ive been in the mood for pizza this week, so I thought lets give this NY style pizza place a try. I walked in around 7:30pm and there were a few tables eating, I sat at their bar and immediately greeted by a younger and competent server. He was not even of legal age to drink, but his service was impeccable. He let me try one of the draft beers as I asked him what style the beer was and he couldn't answer given his age. He was better than most servers I've had in this town, so I think I might have a slight crush on him haha. I asked him if they served slices in the evening and he said no but told me about their lunch specials where they did serve slices and then introduced me to their rustica pizzas which are personal pizzas. I did opt for the half Sicilian and then he said they don't get as much credit as they should. I had a beer at the bar and within 15 min or so, my Sicilian came. It was an OK pizza, nothing like NYC, but it got the job done. What I will say is that sometimes service really makes the difference and in this case, I bumped up my review from 3 stars to 4 because of the good server I had. That kid is gonna go somewhere, come out and support this place, they've got a few younger people working here too. I'd gladly come back in again.

Tried crust pizzeria on a Saturday afternoon. Ordered their personal margherita pizza and garlic knots. Both were delicious. Pizza came with a beautiful basil flavor and garlic knots were delicious but super oil. Service was friendly and nice trendy ambiance. There are few things I love in life more than pizza. Which always makes trying out a new pizza joint exciting. I checked out Crust Pizzeria for the first time on a Friday for an early dinner. They have a complimentary lot and I had no trouble finding a spot. Ambiance (4.5/5): As I walked up to the restaurant, I noticed that they have a front patio with misters. With it being June, I decided to sit inside at a table. Crust Pizzeria has your typical New York pizza joint vibe. Clean and modern. And they also have free WiFi which is always a good start. Service (4.5/5): My waitress did a great job. She was attentive, efficient, and checked in on me at the appropriate times. No complaints. Drinks (N/A): I went with an Arnold Palmer so not much to right home about. They have a happy hour and daily specials, so if you're looking for an adult beverage or two, you can find a good deal here. Food (4/5): Now to the good stuff. I had a BOGO offer on their rustica pizzas that I got through a Facebook ad. So it was a feast. I went with their Uncle Louie (pepperoni, sausage, tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil) and their Jersey Sure (double pepperoni, hot honey, mozzarella, ricotta cheese). Both pizzas were great. They're New York style which is the best variety in my mind (I may be a little biased as I was born in NYC). The ingredients are quality. The pizza came out just right with a little char. The Italian sausage was surprisingly a little more spicy than I expected. I can only handle so much spice but it was manageable. And most interestingly, their pizzas aren't circular or square. They're shaped like a cutting board with a handle. That was a first for me. Perhaps you get a little less pizza this way but it does make for a good photo opp. And while the pizzas are a little pricey, they were delicious. While I just moved to Phoenix in January, Crust Pizzeria has joined my top three pizza joints in Phoenix. Bada bing, bada boom!

That's all you need to know. If you love a good sweet-savory and spicy combo, you're gonna love Jersey Sure for sure. My friend certainly did!

First off the sauce was extremely bland, no flavor to it, and certainly no zest to it as it was advertised. And then there was not enough cheese, covering my pizza. There was spots of tomato sauce showing through.. a very disappointing very average Pizza that you will find all over Phoenix.

I finally stopped by "Crust Pizzeria" I drive by it almost every day and I always say I gotta try a slice. They offer New York style hand tossed pizza, wings, pastas and salads. They have happy hour from 3-6 M-F as well as every day specials and combo's all reasonably priced. I went with a slice of cheese $4.00 it was as you would expect a New York slice to be large and foldable with a, thin-to-medium crust, and generously topped with a simple, light tomato sauce and melted mozzarella cheese it had a good undercarriage with a little bit of flop I liked it very much. I will have to return with the wife and give happy hour and try.

The waiter was super nice and attentive. We were disappointed with the soggy crust , maybe too much sauce ? Also , I noticed I was charged 2 dollars more than the menu price after I left . I did substitute pepperoni for jalapeno... But half the pizza was cheese . Also, I noticed in Phoenix, not many offer a Military discount. Try eating out on a soldiers salary , and you'll see why it's so difficult to leave a generous tip. Anyways, this restaurant was very clean, and played good music. If I went there again, I would ask them to pre.bake the crust for a few minutes before that added toppings.

Came back because the last experience was so fantastic! Had the garlic knots and they are so garlicky and delicious! They go perfectly with a glass of red wine. Our bartender, Leyla, told us about their new salad, and she was right... soooo yummy! The buffalo fried chicken salad was ah-maz-ing! I added extra chicken to it so I had friend chicken and grilled chicken and it was the best of both worlds. 10/10 recommend this place for the food and the service. We saw Caroline again, and she is just a doll! Leyla and Caroline are the reason we will be back, and of course the food, and the wine! Thanks for another amazing experience!

10/10 in my opinion.The slices were huge and they tasted really good.They weren't super thick and I like thinner pizza.Ther service was great.The woman who helped us was very friendly and she deserves a raise.I wish I knew her name.She gave excellent service.The ambiance was nice.They had seating inside and outside and it wasn't busy since we went during the way in the middle of the week. Oh and I wanted to mentioned, the bathroom was really clean. Edit:Came back a few times and service still good.We also had meatballs and caesar salad.I kid you not, the salad is the best caesar salad I have ever had.I didn't even realize it could taste better than other caesar salads haha.Now this is my standard for all caesar salads hehe

Food was extremely disappointing. Could be our inexperience but we got a Sicilian upside down cheese pizza. It's was huge and rectangular and zero crust to hold so had to be eaten with a knife and fork which was practically impossible to cut due to the crispy bottom crust. Very, very little mozzarella cheese but an unholy amount of Parmesan dust. Not the real stuff but the dry stuff they put on your table. If we wanted it we had some at the table we would add ourselves. Tasted awful. Kids hated it. Parents hated it.

I'm not sure what happened to the pizza here. I was thrilled when they opened because the pizza tasted just like NY and it's hard to get a NY tasting pizza in Arizona. I also love their chicken parm. My wife is so picky when it comes to pizza that she generally won't eat it if it's from around here, but she loves or loved Crust's Pizza. Up until these two slices their pizza was some of the best I have ever tasted. However she ordered two slices for me about a month or so ago, a NY slice and a Sicilian slice but we couldn't eat either of them. I thought it was my taste buds because we never had anything from Crust that wasn't top notch, but she couldn't eat hers either. The slices had so much Parmesan cheese on it and I don't like Parmesan on my pizza, that made it totally uneatable to us. Due to some health issues this was the first time I had pizza from Crust in over a year but they never put Parmesan on the pizza before or if they did it was so little that I never noticed it. Not sure if there are new owners or the chefs changed but the pizza went from a 10+ + (off the charts great) to a 0. I hate writing this review because the pizza used to be amazing. We live really close to Crust a d that was the only place we ordered pizza from because there isn't a lot of good pizza around here. We are going to give it one more shot and I hope the taste is like it used to be. I will order it with no Parmesan and update my review after. Update: I changed my rating from 1 star to 5 because we just ordered a large NY cheese pizza and an order of honey mustard wings. They also gave us 6 garlic knots. The pizza was good, not like it used to be, but definitely not like my last experience. The pizza is thicker than it used to be and it seems like a normal amount of cheese, not extra cheese like we ordered. NY pizza is thin so it is just new people making the pies. The garlic knots were incredible. They are not like normal small, dense pieces of bread but more like a bun. They came in a tray that had garlic and butter/oil in it. They were light and fluffy with a crispy top, definitely not dense like normal knots. These are hands down the best garlic knots I have ever had. The sauce for the wings, honey mustard made me say wow when I tasted it...they tasted great and are my new favorite flavor. I definitely recommend Crust again. read more

Got a whole pepperoni pie between three people. First time I went the pizza was very good, great crust and under carriage, hard to find in AZ. Most pizza is just very cheesy and saucy bread, this is very balanced. This is about as close to I have gotten to what I think is a NY slice (never been to NY). Second time, wasn't the same result, came out a bit soggy and not crispy, but might have just been an off day. Great first experience though! read more

Came in Friday night, not my first time here, was taken care of by the same server I had last time. Peter was so attentive and continued to check up on me throughout the night. Run unless u like mall pizza, which in this case may be better. We had low expectations and were just in a pinch for pizza, I was surprised it went lower. U know the taste in your mouth when u have baad italian, the cheap over salted garlic taste, well Ive had that taste for a bit. Server very nice and the crust was decent, everything else, salad pizza and salad dressing were not good. Sorrrry! Prob shud have known as 4 peeps in there on a Fri night. Yikes. Live and learn. If the price matched up w the mall pizza, maybe i would not have posted but just go down the street a few blocks, or to Jets pizza across the street and u will be happier! read more

I'm always coming down 16th St. I don't know how I missed this place! I was craving pizza so much and I wanted to try something new. I went on Google and I saw this place had great reviews. Well, it did not disappoint me! To start off, I was greeted by a very sweet employee manager, Caroline. I could tell immediately she had a great vibe. I really like the look of the place and I love that. It has the garage door that opens up. It was nice weather today. I sat indoors but had a beautiful comfortable breeze. I started off with the house. Margarita on the rocks, it was delicious refreshing, and then I ordered a pint of peroni , very refresh and hit the spot. I love the pizza. It did not disappoint me at all. I started off with zucchini, which kindly Caroline, treated me too. They were delicious! And I was so happy with the pizza. It was kind of a flatbread style, which was perfect and I love that some of the edges were crispy. I'm looking forward to going back again. I'm definitely gonna try their happy hour. Service is slow and inattentive...on the smart phones a lot. Pizza is great but they are really stingy with the toppings, especially cheese. A 20" pizza has like maybe 8 slices of pepperoni. A pizza that big needs more. Floaties in my beer. read more

Tried Crust Pizzeria for the first time! Not impressed, unfortunately :( Even though the place wasn't busy inside, my online order was messed up. 1. Wings weren't ready when I got there but the pizza was so it got cold waiting for the wings to be ready. 2. Ordered ranch, but they gave us blue cheese (huge ranch head here!) so that was a bummer. With the big dogs so nearby (Doughbirds, Lou Malnati's, Stumpy's) we probably won't be coming back. read more

I'm not sure how long this place has been here for but it is definitely a pizza joint to consider for your next pizza night. The waiter/bar man who greeted us treated us really well for our whole dining experience. He was personable, efficient and knew the menu. He also suggested the Huss light lager for us as it is made for the restaurant. We ordered garlic knots followed by Sun Devil wings which were delightfully spicy. We then had the rustica Brooklyn Burrata on a cauliflower crust and the Central Park Supreme. Both pizzas had good flavor and the 20 inch pizzas are studly (or very filling). Parking should be relatively easy except on Friday and Saturday nights. Their delivery special on Monday nights is a good deal if you like plain cheese pizza or a one-extra-topping pizza. The restaurant has a small patio , a full bar, high top tables and regular tables. You will be able to see a TV from every table. This is a solid addition to the 16th street dining corridor. read more

This is my second time coming in and the second time I had the pleasure of being served by Caroline during my visit, and I cannot say enough good things about her! This pizza place is right next to my daughters dance studio and thus has a build in customer base... so why is it always empty? I have a few thoughts after dining there twice. First, the service. The first time the service was great. We went again a week or so ago and the young man who both sat and waited on us in the otherwise empty restaurant just seemed mad we were keeping him from his busy tiktok watching. He mostly communicated in grunts and avoided eye contact, turning his back when walking by the table. Food is ok, garlic knots are good, salad is good and a decent size,pizza ok, something is missing... maybe flavor? I added garlic from the garlic knots that helped. So improvements... Perhaps have a kids menu to draw in the built in clientele from the dance studio and toy store in the plaza. Also switch to ordering at the counter, as you will have to go there anyway since the waitstaff is too busy watching the game playing above the empty bar. read more

The pizza was good. Nice guy at the front gets them the 5 stars. Pizza may have been a 4. Got two Sicilian pieces and a slice with pepperoni. Sicilian pieces were good, but a little dry. I will come back and try a whole pie for sure. I thought $14 for the three pieces seemed like a pretty good deal. read more

brought home a few slices from here the other night, about 30 min prior to close. So I definitely understood and anticipated limited selection I'd be able to order. Luckily, they did have both slices of the Sicilian and the regular pie left. Brought home slice of each. I was disappointed though, because as explained to me by the cashier working that night, their slices are plain and the customer would customize and order toppings separately (at a cost). I wish they have different pre-set or pre-defined pizzas like most other places for those who want to enjoy a well concocted specialty pie. Also, by the time I got home (drove home immediately after the slices came out), which I only live 4 minutes driving distance, the slices were already floppy and lost any remanence of a crunch. As David Portnoy would say, the under carriage is sub-par. Overall, nothing special, wouldn't come back here again unless I it was a pizza emergency, xD. read more

Nothing special. Service was lackluster and half-hearted (tall skinny unkept guy with light floppy hair). Definitely should not be a server. Maybe a cashier or something. Pizza (traditional style) was floppy and soupy. No crisp or flavor in the dough. Most importantly it was bland, even though you could tell the ingredients were high quality. Also, a place like this should offer fresh Parmesan instead of the cellulose-laden shaker jars. Overall there's no reason to go back. The food, service and ambience are amazing here. I highly recommend the Stromboli with extra mozzarella cheese. So yummy! On a sad note, though, I recently learned one of my favorite staff members, Jaro, was let go over a yelp post from a person who doesn't even exist. I come to Crust weekly because my sister owns the dance studio next door and our daughter does in fact dance there. My sister verified Julia P., the person who left a negative review costing my favorite staff member his job, does not exist and it was a troll review. Wow! Super impressed. We drop in around 8 on a Thursday and we're immediately greeted with smiles and hellos. There were 3 of us and we sat at the bar. We ordered the meatballs, burrata and garlic knots to start. Delicious. All outstanding. We shared a pizza. The portions are generous and fairly priced. The pizzas are huge! These are not individual pizzas. Overall, extremely impressed and went in with low expectations, given artichoke's short lived run. Crust was a great surprise and addition to the neighborhood. Things to note: they have the NFL package and Thursday night football. They are working on a brunch menu and the GM is great and you can tell enjoys his job. read more

Food, service, and vibe was great! I got the chicken Parmesan, which was delicious, and the wife got the Penne Alla Vodka that was equally as good. Super Bowl Sunday ordered 2 $15 specials at 2pm asked for them to be done at 4pm. My son stopped by at 4 pm "who is the order for". No one even asked if they could help or solve the problem. Not a good point finally got done at 5pm welll after kickoff, Had to pay full price for the pizza which once we got them were very good. He said 2 people working the floor probably needed 5 or 7 saved money from a management point, Never to heavily staffed the 5 or 6 times we have been there, Moral to the story go there and wait for it. read more

Easily one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. The pizza was phenomenal, but it was the service that truly stole the show. Cole J and Petar M didn't just serve, they curated the entire experience. Cole knew the menu like it was written by him, offering expert recommendations with confidence and faciness. But the front layout is odd, the hostess stand is right there so everyone crams in front of door and there's no barrier to the first large table so you're like staring at the poor people eating at that first long table lol! I think they need to switch up the entry layout and put up a half wall or decorative situation to tuck away that table a bit too. Just my two cents. Overall, I'd go again but it would be really nice if management saw this and trained staff on how to greet table sooner, take drink orders, and deliver said drinks timely for a more pleasant dining experience.
