I finally decided to try one of these. Very delicious. I was a bit skeptical about the price for the size of the pot pie( but overall I am satisfied

I recently tried this place for the first time before leaving for a flight and the chicken pot pie knocked me into a beautiful food coma. I had the biggest craving for such a long time and I'm so grateful Crustees exists! I enjoyed a cup of their turkey chili and their chicken chili! I am pleased at the options for chili! Both were amazing, the turkey one seemed a little spiced but it was AMAZING. The chicken chili was great but my preference is the turkey one for now. The chicken pot pie was perfect, the crust made it a full circle moment and it is a perfect serving for just one. I inhaled it before I could get a decent photo of its presentation, vegetables were cooked to perfection and the actual inside of the pie was so warm and seemed like it was hugging my stomach from the inside. I also enjoyed their corn bread which was a little dry but it was still plenty flavorful. I did go back recently for a birthday desert for myself, I'm not a cake person but I LOVE pumpkin pie and I was so excited to go back for a mini one as my birthday desert! It was delicious! Cherry on top for sure. The two times I've visited the staff has been very welcoming and also helped me set up a rewards account that I absolutely will be adding points to. There's a nice sit down section outside but I prefer dining inside if anything, seemed very clean and organized but not too much decor which is fine because the food makes up for it. The only thing I would add as a negative is they do not accept cash payments. I understand cashless restaurants are everywhere now but I really would've appreciated the cash payment option.

$8 for 4 bites, total waste.

Banana Pudding :( It's described as "classic" banana pudding, but there's absolutely nothing classic about it. First taste, immediately tasted that horrible boxed flavor, way too sweet and located ZERO bananas. I haven't tried anything else, first time and I'm not impressed. For a small intimate spot, why can't the time be made to make this so called "classic" truly homemade, especially for the price? That dessert tasted assembly line manufactured without a care in the world.

From the outside welcome to Crustees

Crustees is great I had a craving for a pot pie ona cold rainy day. Diane( who serve in the military and thank you for your service) talked me out of my PJ's to come down and get a Chicken Pot Pie. I went down there and didn't get one I got a Curry Chicken Pot Pie and Key Lime pie. As a self proclaimed Key lime connoisseur it was great. The pies have very fresh ingredients seasoned perfectly also the crust is amazing I see how they get the name Crustees. It was so good I came back today to get some chili and ended up getting the chili cheese pot pie and another key lime pie. This is my new comfort food spot.

Afterwards, we sat at the store to try the danish since we were hungry. Have to say it measures up to another one of my favorite patisseries that is located in Del Mar called Clemente. The danish texture was soft yet super flakey, and the thin layer of vanilla cream to strawberry ratio was perfection. It's so hard to find places that have exceptional quality croissant pastries, but this place is on the top of our list for LA. We enjoyed the cakes at home afterwards, but everything was so delicious. Unfortunately we forgot to take oir own ice packs and took a minute to get back home so the cakes slightly melted, but even after putting them in the fridge to enjoy later, they were so good! I got a sausage bbang, a chocopie, and a dalgona latte. The sausage bbang was soggy on the bottom and honestly tasted like it was from the day before. The chocopie barely had any filling, just a thin layer of marshmallow and jam. It honestly felt like they used most of the marshmallow for their Dubai choco cookie because it's probably more profitable, instead of properly filling the chocopie. If that's the case, it's better not to sell it at all than serve something like that. The dalgona latte was also disappointing. With ice, the drink only filled to the bottom third line of the cup marking. Clearly, they skimped on the milk. There was also a weird moment when I paid. My total was $15.25 and I paid cash, but I was given $4.75 in change. When I said it should be $5, she seemed confused and asked what I meant. The pizza was even better than described, with mozzarella, fontina, truffle peccorino, creme fraiche, truffle mushroom pate on a perfectly cooked crust. I normally prefer to avoid most "truffle" anything due to questionable quality and its tendency to overpower any other taste, but this one was the OG! The fresh truffle shavings along with the truffle pate added a pleasant earthiness to the rich and salty cheeses. We accepted the waiter's offer to spread the egg yolk over the pizza.
