I just started at CryoSpot about a week ago. I'd been working out quite a bit and training for my first Spartan Race. My body was pretty beat up when I decided to give cryotherapy a try. I'd seen my doctor who'd explained my aches and pains as symptoms of overuse rather than injury. I was suffering from excruciating back pain at my first visit as well as strain in my right forearm. I did compression therapy followed by full body cryotherapy and felt immediate increased mobility. The severe pain I arrived with became a dull pain and less sharp. I did spot therapy after on the area of my back that was most affected. I went home and took the best three hour nap ever. That's one of the benefits of cryotherapy as well. I felt even more relief in both my back and arm when I woke up. Even after taking such a long midday nap, I fell asleep effortlessly that night and slept the entire night through. When I woke up the next morning my back pain was gone. Not just better but completely gone! I went in Monday for post race therapy with pain in my left calf. Bearing weight on it hurt. After another cryotherapy and compression session I was able to run four miles on Tuesday. I'm a skeptic on many things. I only decided to finally try cryo because of the amount of back pain I was in just mere days before my first Spartan. It was the best decision ever. Came in here a little scared since I have been reading about the freezing temperatures that I am not a fan of. I decided to finally visit since I was really sore from working out. I was greeted nicely and was given the tour and breakdown of how the machine works and how my body will feel during the session. I changed into my robe, socks and slip on sandals. You get in the cryo chamber and toss the robe once the treatment starts. The 3 mins goes by fast! The hardest part was the last 30 seconds since my brain was excited to get out! Your legs will look red due to the freezing temperatures but it is worth it! I went to bed peacefully that night and the tightness from my sore muscles felt tolerable. Came in this morning on a Monday, not busy at all! It's not necessary to make an appointment because they are happy to accept walk-ins! They offer full body cryo, compression, and facial therapy. I've been to a couple other locations before coming here, but Cryospot is my favorite! Customer service goes above and beyond the basic greeting "hello, how's your day going?" They actually learn your name and get to know you (even if its just during one session.) Kyle at the front desk was welcoming. Aida was very helpful and informative with showing me around and welcoming me into the cryospot family. They also have great prices and packages and when you pre purchase sessions in advance, they never expire! Also, you can use your paid sessions with other people like a friend or significant other to introduce them to cryotherapy. Ive been doing a few sessions prior to coming here and every time I opt for the coldest temp and for the maximum time, which is 3 minutes. I love it! It helps with my backaches and soreness. It's great for athletes and for everyday Janes like me. The facial is also a great feature they offer here that helps reduce redness, acne bacteria, tightening, etc. Depending on what promotions they have currently, they might allow a quick intro to a facial to try it. I definitely bought a package! Anyway, I ended up leaving here buying a package for cryo, compression, AND facial! Oh, and don't buy the groupon!!! I'm currently doing a 20 in 42 challenge. When they came into our gym to pitch the benefits, it sounded too good to be true. I was so sore that even if it worked just a little but, it would have been worth it. I waited until my third session before reviewing them. So here it is: For me, the soreness is gone if not almost immediately then certainly after my first restful sleep. After my third session I almost fell asleep in their lobby waiting for my spot treatment. That's how relaxed I felt. That night I slept like a baby (even dreamed I was flying dragons)... Soreness free! Spot treatments you say? Yes, I suffer from sciatica. The spot treatment has been the most efficient treatment next to my masseuse's magic hands. The relief for me lasts anywhere from 3-5 days. BUT when I combine both... That leads to the most pain free full weeks of my life. Oh and BTW, this 800 calories per session must be true. And if the injuries are muscle related, my first stop will always be do to some cryo. The great thing about Cryospot is it's hands down the cheapest place to go in OC, which means you can go more often. I can compare it to driving a high performance vehicle, lots of wear means you need to service it often, same goes for yourself. At first I was skeptical but after reading if how it works, I gave it a try. I was greeted by Vic who is one of the owners and he explained how it all works and the benefits. You sign your waver and then strip down into your underwear or whatever. You wear gloves and keep your socks on to avoid freezing. They also provide slippers to prevent your toes from freezing. All is provided and you don't need to bring anything. I jump in and was cold. My first session was 2:30 min and didn't feel it immediately but everyone is different. I did notice my lower back did feel much better later on and arthritis in my knees was not as bad anymore. For my second session I came in with much more pain and a slight hangover. Lasted 3 min this time and hangover was pretty much gone after along with stiffness in my forearm and lower back. If you are curious of the treatment, I'd recommend it at least once. Then you can decide from there. I'll definitely be getting more sessions. read more

I plan on updating this review once I have completed a full 7-10 sessions for my injury, which was the duration suggested by the team as CS. Thus far I have visited approx. 4x and I simply wanted to write a high-level review on their amazing customer service. Truly - this family owned business is phenomenal. I came in a bit skeptical but per the recommendation of a good friend who does this service in another county and raved about the outcome for her injuries; I decided to try it out. The yelp reviews are what encouraged my visit and the customers who were waiting for their services with me, only had positive results to share, making me feel more at ease. My injury is on the mend but I am not clear on what true results I will achieve at this stage but once I complete the recommended cycle I will have more impartial feedback to disseminate. The full-body session is of course cold but the great thing is that the practitioners talk you through the process and adjust to your individual needs therefore there is truly no need for concern as long as you meet the minimum requirements outlined by the waiver. If you are pain and in need of a healing accelerator I say give it a shot or at least give them a call to chat about the process and the potential benefits. read more

I came here because two friends had come here, and I had always been interested. I am an ultra marathoner and lately have had some Achilles pain after my last 100k. After the first visit, pain was almost entirely gone. I returned today for the second time to see if I can get rid of it completely so that I can run again this weekend. First time for me, I was recommended by a few friends who use this kind of therapy from training/sports. I don't beat up my body as much as those guys, unless you consider extreme eating a sport, however I had some aches and pains from working out the day before, and I also suffer from some arthritis. Vic set me up and went over the whole procedure. He was extremely thorough and spent time explaining the benefits of this kind of therapy. Think ice bath but being able to take care of it in 3 minutes instead of sitting in a tub for a long time. Stripped down to gloves, socks, and rubber shoes I went in to the chamber. It felt really refreshing. 3 minutes went by fairly fast. Stepping out of it, the initial feeling was interesting. Maybe the rush of blood shooting back in to your body, but I felt pretty good. Didn't feel the aches and pains, probably because my body was still a bit numb. Felt pretty good afterwards as well. This supposedly helps with anxiety and sleep, which I definitely have trouble with waking up every two hours every night. We'll see how this works tonight, but I'll definitely be back to try a few more sessions. Especially during my next arthritis flare up. read more

First, I am going to start off with, I highly recommend going to CryoSpot! I have worked in customer service for 10 years and I must say Aida definitely delivered the best customer service I have ever received. Next, I was recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and I felt relieved because finally someone was able to tell me what's wrong. I have been in pain and have suffered for a long time as well as suffering from hemiplegic migraines.
