    Almond crunch French toast 5/5
    Ash G.

So this is probably one of the few places that I come in, ask for coffee and not even have to look at the menu because I know exactly what I'm having every single time (I mean I will take a gander but I know what I like) Almond crunch French toast, half order and Migas full order, hashbrowns and sourdough bread. The food is always great the service is on par (thanx Rebecca) and I'm always 100% satisfied and going home with leftovers.

Service was okay. Food awful. Burned veggies "purple carrots". should not have a burned flavour meatloaf had so much red sauce it was over powering. Never had meatloaf fried. Never to return after a long hiatus

So Memorial Day I didn't plan to go out but some friends took us out for my wife's birthday which was the day prior. We agreed to try the crystal cafe in Bothell and fingers crossed it's good. We arrived and as expected it was a bit of a wait. While waiting I noticed a lot of people coming out with clear containers of biscuits. I prefer toast but I was intrigued. I ordered the chicken fried steak and two others also tried the steak. Another accompaniment had the chicken fingers and the bleu burger. We tore up everything it was so good except the hash browns could use some seasoning but the biscuits were a total win.

Hobo Scramble with side of pancakes

Quite the busy place on a Sunday morning. We luckily found they had an online sign in sheet so we did that which gave us about 25 minutes to get there. We made it with a few minutes to spare and were seated immediately. Otherwise we heard them telling people it was a 40 minute wait. The waitress we had was super friendly and funny and kept our coffee flowing which was surprising for as busy as they were. Now the food. I ordered the hobo scramble with pancakes and a side of bacon. The scramble was really good except to much sour cream thrown on top (ask for it on the side). The pancakes were nice and fluffy but the bacon, it was excellent. Good thick pieces cooked to the right amount of crispy. Overall I give this 4 stars. Only because it was so crowded and loud, which is not there fault just super busy

There food is classic diner fair. The service - once you get in - is good. The problem is they close with no notice and without posting seemingly anywhere. The bar will unexpectedly be closed. The whole restaurant will be suddenly closed early with no info on social media except a sign on the door. This also happens at the partner locations in Sammamish, so this is an organizational problem. I don't mind you deciding to close earlier on a holiday. Or for training. But for the love of hecking heck, would you post on one of your many social media accounts when you close early so we don't speed precious $5.50 gas driving up there? We checked your Facebook before driving up - no notice of closing early. We checked your website - no notice of closing early. I checked both instagram account (don't know which one is real) - no notice. Please use one of your social media accounts to post when you're closing early. That's all

We (my husband and I) were greeted and helped with navigating the menu, as well as how to order on their touch-screen kiosk. We ordered the 7 chicken tenders, and got half mild and the other half hot. We also got a side of the Port Rice. When we were there, the whole place was empty, but still, the table we chose was dirty, so we wiped it down ourselves. The greeting staff lady was very kind and helpful, but the other staff who brought us our food weren't as open to being friendly. The chicken came out hot (in temperature) as well as the rice. It didn't take long to get our food since we were the only ones there. The mild chicken flavor was my favorite. It had a good, unique flavor. The hot flavor was too vinegary for me, but my husband liked it as he sweated through the spice. We enjoyed the rice paired with the chicken. We didn't realize it until after, but they actually gave us 8 chicken tenders, so that was kind; they were large, too. We should have gotten a second side so that we had more of a meal, maybe something crunchy, but by golly, the prices in WA are insane for food, so we chose not to. They provided us with two dipping sauces in glass bottles, both labeled 'garlic sauce,' but 'garlic' was spelled incorrectly (maybe the art was made with AI? How did the marketing department miss that?). One bottle was white sauce, and the other was a red sauce, so we were confused why they were both labeled garlic, because one was more of a chili taste. We left pretty full and satisfied and were happy to have stopped by.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming, and we were seated right on time for our reservation. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and walked us through the menu before we eagerly started ordering. A few highlights from the meal: * Blackberry Refresher - Really good. It reminded me of an Izze, but with much less sweetness and a more balanced flavor. * Scallops Starter - Perfectly cooked with a great sear. The menu mentioned a seasonal (plum) gastrique, but it was barely noticeable. A little more of that acidity would have taken this dish from great to exceptional. * Tomato Bisque - Smooth, velvety, and packed with fresh tomato flavor. It honestly made me wish I had ordered a grilled cheese to go with it! * Double-Cut Pork Chop - Delicious as always. My only wish is that they would leave the bone in, which would add even more flavor and presentation. * Duck Breast - One of the stars of the evening. Cooked beautifully with crispy skin and served over a generous portion of mushroom risotto. The only thing I'd change is having the sauce underneath or on the side instead of poured over the duck, which would help preserve that wonderful crispy skin. * Chocolate Gateau (Molten Lava Cake) - A perfect way to finish the meal. Served hot with a delicious blackberry sauce that complemented the rich chocolate really well. And I can't forget the complimentary focaccia bread. Fresh, fluffy, and topped with the perfect crust, it was absolutely addictive. Overall, Russell's never disappoints. Great food, attentive service, and a consistently enjoyable dining experience. His skill added to the experience, without being intrusive. Cocktails were delightful. One Laphroaig with a big cube, one Huckleberry cosmo. Dinner was a split beet salad, one ribeye done medium rare, and one rack of lamb also done medium rare. Both were perfect, the salad was the great starter. For a complete dinner experience Russell's is a fantastic option.

A friend that's particular always talks about Outback being a salty menu and it is but I'm ok with that. Two tips: Costco has gift card packs that turn into 20% off While the dining room and host busy during peak times, the bar has open seating often that a couple people can just go take. This has become our norm. This last Friday night there was a lot of the senior bunch taking advantage of this in even bigger groups so it was more busy but we snagged a table with views of the tvs for games. The servers this time were friendly but not particularly efficient or thorough. One bussed my napkin after my salad course and it took us 10 minutes to get utensils and napkins in the first place!!? They were busy but I've had much better service here regularly. But it worked out great with a big beer and her Rita and the food was reliably good. Great bread and the steak always cooked to my order I often get the loaded potato and it is! If you tell them to have chef make the potato likes he's high, they bring you an extra plate of all the toppings! We will return regardless of some variation in service time.

Sorry this is kinda long, but wanted to share this about a business in Bothell. I had been a…read moreregular customer of Outback Steakhouse and had ordered lunch or dinners from this location many times without a problem. Unfortunately, my experience recently, on August 13--and especially how the situation was handled afterward--was so disappointing and unprofessional that I will not be returning. That afternoon, both a coworker and I placed separate online orders for curbside pickup, with her order indicating that I would be picking it up for her. My order was a side salad, a small order. We had done this before without an issue, and the employees were familiar with us and our names. And just to mention, I have previously written positive reviews for Outback through the link in the email they send out after an order. Anyways, when I arrived that afternoon, a friendly employee that I recognized from ordering and picking up in the past, brought a bag to my car, chatted with me briefly, and I thanked her and left. Since I was there to pick up both orders, I reasonably assumed both were included. When I returned to work, I discovered the bag contained only my coworker's order and mine had not been given to me. After work, I had to make another trip to the restaurant to retrieve my order. A different employee came out to my vehicle, who I also recognized from previous uneventful orders, and instead of simply acknowledging the mistake and apologizing for the inconvenience, she was defensive and told me they "never put two different orders in the same bag" and insisted it was not their fault. I was shocked that rather than focusing on resolving a simple mistake, she seemed more concerned with assigning blame to me. When I asked whether they could offer something for the inconvenience and time of having to make a second trip, her response was a curt and grudging, "What do you want?" I asked what they had to offer, and she mentioned cheesecake or carrot cake, so I chose the cheesecake. When she returned with my order, she stood beside my vehicle and continued explaining why the restaurant was supposedly not at fault instead of simply handing me my order and allowing the situation to end. The exchange became unnecessarily tense and uncomfortable. The next day, I called and spoke with the manager, who told me she was also the person who had originally brought the order to my car. She made a point of telling me that she was the manager and the owner. That really surprised me because it meant she was the employee who had failed to bring out both orders in the first place. Yet she also remained defensive and continued insisting the restaurant was not at fault because they never put two different orders in the same bag. I eventually received an apology, but after such a difficult conversation, it did not feel sincere. What happened next was even more troubling. A few days later, another coworker told me that when she picked up her own online order from Outback, (the employee evidently remembered her from previous orders of ours), and began telling her what had happened when I had come in previously. This employee actually mentioned my name, discussed what had happened between me and the restaurant, and again tried to explain why they believed the situation was my fault. My coworker didn't know anything about it, because I had not mentioned what had happened. She told the employee, 'I don't know what you are talking about. I'm just here to get my order." My coworker said it was pretty awkward how the employee was talking about me to her in such a negative way. For a restaurant to do that, especially such a major restaurant as Outback Steakhouse, really crossed a line for me. Whatever disagreement the employees had with me should have remained between the restaurant and me. Discussing a customer's complaint by name with that customer's coworkers is extremely unprofessional and completely unnecessary. Mistakes happen, and had someone simply said, "We're sorry we missed your order and that you had to come back," this probably would have been a very minor issue. I know I would have said, 'oh it's ok!" and dropped it. Instead, multiple employees--including management--repeatedly became defensive, refused to take responsibility, and then discussed the situation with another customer who happened to be my coworker. I always enjoyed the food here and had been a loyal customer with no previous problems, which makes this especially disappointing. But after the rude and unprofessional way this was handled, I will not give this Outback Steakhouse my business again.
