To me, these are among the best in the greater Houston area, quite comparable to what I find in Tampa. That said, my wife found the mustard excessive. The steamed yucca was quite good as well. That would probably explain the biscuit being tough. The sausage gravy was not good. The gravy was thin/runny with cut up pieces of the sausage patties, but it lacked the sausage flavor. The grits were also very soupy. I had pushed my full cup of hot tea to the edge of the table, the server either didn't notice or just didn't care. I was only asked once if I was needing anything else, and since she didn't ask about my full cup of tea, I wasn't going to say anything. When she came over to the table she asked if I needed anything, I stated No, I am done. She asked if I wanted my check, and I paid my tab. They do advertise Bloody Mary's and other breakfast cocktails but I didn't have any of those. The location is good, area outside for the kids to run and play. Seating outside also to watch the kids. I think I would only return to this place if I am invited out to brunch with my group of friends. Otherwise, would be a long while before I return, being hopeful things have improved.

I called in ahead and when I arrived, the staff did not have my order at all. Then when I do receive my food after a while, they give me my medium barbecue platter with just ribs and sausage. After them fixing my platter, I get home and notice that the brisket is mostly fat with some pieces of meat. I've been coming to this place for a while and I've noticed the quality has gone down somewhat, and it is a bit disappointing because I enjoy supporting small businesses. Everything was perfect and Victor, our waiter, was so friendly and helpful. He took the time to tell us about their daily offerings, which we really appreciated. We cannot wait to come back.
