Hands down, this was the best Cuban sandwich I've ever had. The bread was perfectly toasted on the outside while staying soft on the inside. The meat tasted fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned. It was a little greasy, but in the best way possible--it was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the same sandwich and agreed that it's the best Cuban we've had so far. I also tried a non-alcoholic mango daiquiri, which was refreshing and full of flavor. The plantains were another standout and the best I've had in the city to date. This is definitely a place I'd return to for the Cuban sandwich alone. Everything I saw being served to other tables looked incredible as well. If you're visiting Little Havana, I highly recommend stopping by and giving this place a try. It's a spot that lives up to the hype. I wish we had this place is Phoenix. I'm going to miss it.

The ropa vieja tasted just like grandmas. They use ropa vieja as the filling in the empanadas. The fried potato's was steak fry cut style. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Just how a perfect fry should taste! Everyone really liked the vaca frita! I think that's a must try! It's shredded beef marinated in this delicious citrus marinate. They fry it afterwards so it's pull apart, melt in your mount soft, with a nice crispy crunch to it. I think this is a must get dish. The desserts were delicious too! The music definitely added to the experience, especially some good Marc Anthony tunes in Spanish that I really enjoyed! The atmosphere was lively and gave us that Latin vibe we were hoping for. Our server, Diego, was incredibly attentive and really went above and beyond. At times it almost felt like he was trying too hard to make sure we were happy, but honestly, we appreciated the effort! We started with the empanadas and the avocado salad with chicken. The chicken on the salad was disappointing. It had the texture and appearance of previously frozen/reheated chicken rather than the freshly grilled chicken we were expecting. For our entrées, we tried both the steak and a chicken dish. Unfortunately, neither worked for us. Both lacked the flavor we were expecting and instead seemed to rely heavily on salt. We ended up not finishing either dish. The cocktails didn't save the evening either. I started with a lychee martini, which wasn't as good as I had hoped, followed by a Mai Tai that also could have been better. I also saw my drink being taste-tested twice at the bar before it was brought over, which admittedly left me a little unsure about drinking it afterward. And then... THE FLAN! Finally, something I can rave about. They make a VERY good flan, and it was easily the highlight of our dinner. That's all I'll say! :) Overall, the ambiance was great, the music was fun, Diego worked hard to make sure we were taken care of, and the flan was excellent. Unfortunately, when it came to the actual entrées and cocktails, the experience just didn't deliver for us. There are too many Cuban restaurants around to explore, so we'll be trying others rather than returning to this one.

I am very impressed with Cuban Guys Restaurant. My wife ordered the steak sandwich and her friend ordered a Frita as I did. My wife who is from Argentina (Land of good beef and food in general) said her steak sandwich was excellent. Her friend commented that she ordered the Frita because she was curious if it was truly possible to get a good Frita AC (After Cuba) She said that not since she was in Cuba, which was a long time ago and before Castros reign, did she have such a good Frita. I do not have the same references as her but can concur that it is the best Frita I have had, period. We all raved about the Casava Fries better known as Yuca Frita or Yuquitas. Afterwards Jorge, brainchild of Cuban Guys, brought us a couple of Flans to try and my favorite was the Guava Flan however my wife and friend preferred the coffee one. We had a great time. The people were nice and friendly and very attentive. Prices of the menu items are very reasonable and without question the value for your money is there. The place was spotlessly clean and looked very nice in the red white and blue theme of the restaurant. I would definitely give it a rating. I hope they open one soon down in my nek of the woods (Kendall-Miami) but until they do I will probably drive the 15 miles every now and then to get my Frita fix. I think Jorge has the right approach and definitely the quality food to succeed in this business. Prices are very very reasonable as well wich is an added bonus. read more

Oh Cuban Guys, if I could have you everyday I swear I would. The food is made fresh on the spot and aside from the great food it's the customer service. But, I will say I have my favorite staff and that's the PM shift with David as a manager @Hialeah. David handles everything professionally & puts the customers satisfaction as a #1, which is something rarely seen at food places like Cuban Guys. In the minimal to none slight incidents I've had, he's made sure to take care of it all. General Manager and business owner you need more people like David on your team, he's sincerely the closest to perfect you have & I'm sure with the service he provides he's to be handed a raise ASAP. The best FRITA in town! A group of us decided to explore the Cuban Fast food Premier that we have heard on the popular radio station, and the magnificent reviews by Burger Beast and other reviews and they were not exagerating. This is the BEST place for Cuban food, and the concept of fast food restaurant with the nice colors and the modern dinning room went very well together with their delicious and fresh food. The best frita and the MOST delicious Pan con Bistec. I TOTALLY disagree with the Lily reviewer and does a chicken bowl needs to bring more tha EIGHT pieces of chicken, I had it and it was DELICIOUS, healthy fresh and YUMMY. Coming from Europe I asked a friend to recommend a good Cuban restaurant for lunch, they guided me to a small but spotless place in Hialeah that looked very attractive and neat. I hadn't had a "frita" in years and a very friendly and gentle manager explained the menu and recommended their own unique formula of the most delicious Cuban burger I've ever had. Their express lunch the best in Miami, their dessert to die for, I had the icecream sandwich and my tentation for a second one was unstopable. It's AWSOME!!!! You want to try Cuban food at its best visit this place. Clean, nice decor, great fast service and very generous portions for amazing prices. Desserts are great. We're greeted by a server who's not Dominican. (Right there is a red flag for me, I tend to like Dominicans serving to feel like home but as long as the cook is Dominican, fine.) She proceeds to give us 1 menu and tells us to sit anywhere and she'll be right with us. She takes forever to get to us, when she finally comes to our table, I decide to order a chimi that I've been wanting for a week...she says "sorry, we don't have chimis. As a matter of fact, we don't have anything with bread." Umm ok. I then tell my mom to order because I now need more time to look at their menu...my mom orders sancocho. She replies "sorry we don't have sancocho right now". (Even though their sign is blinking outside with sancocho.) I then ordered something with plátano, and she said they don't have any either. How do you have a Dominican restaurant and not have plátano on deck??! Who's doing the inventory in this place?!? It's lunchtime, what the heck? The server recommends the yaroa, which for ppl who don't know what that is, is like street food...fries, cheese and meat...I would eat this after the club, not really for lunch. At that point, we decided to just walk out, which is such a shame because even though their menu was limited, it all sounded good but they just didn't have anything available. SMH. I tried 3 times...I will not be back. There are far more restaurants that will gladly take my money. I'm giving 2 stars...1 because parking is available because it's in a plaza, and 2 because they're Dominican and wanted various items off the menu.

A more garlicky and cumin based seasoning compared to regular rotisserie chicken, makes it that much juicier and with a crispier skin. My rice had the right balance of grains and stickiness, plus the black beans were pretty well seasoned. Anyway, food was hard enough that I had enough energy to have a really good running pace. The space was fairly clean and the cashier was pleasant.

I didn't get any photos of the black beans that came with our meals however they're so rich and tasty! Also we were provided with small containers of all of their sauces. My favorite is their pico de gallo. The service was quick and the employees are so pleasant. It is a Peruvian restaurant, so you'll also find some Asian inspired dishes on the menu.

For example, you walk up to the window and greet the staff and ask to pick up your order, they tell you to wait (they keep gossiping) 5 minutes later after they've ignored you they hand you your food that's been sitting on the counter right in front of your face for the last 5 minutes. Then you hand them your card....and guess what, expect to wait another 5 minutes for them to hand it back to you...you might think they are busy.....nooottt at alllll. Now onto the food, it's not bad but it's definitely not good. Many other places close by that cook great food and are attentive to customers.
