Although I didn't select my movers, so I was so apprehensive as how this day was going to go. They had to move our 1500 sq ft condo into 2 storage rooms. They got every piece to fit. I apologize for leaving a VERY late review, but everyone at Riptide was incredible helping me move after a recent separation. Their pricing was great, easy to make an appointment and made it so comfortable and easy during a stressful time. The crew was on top of everything and the entire job, including unloading, was under three hours. One on the team even found a $100 bill under my dresser and gave it to me. Of course this was added to their gratuity- but super honest movers made it even better. Wow!! Rick worked magic. After a misunderstanding regarding time and schedule, Rick jumped to action and arrived to my house in 30 min with an assistant. We had two relocubes to load for our cross county move and we had a 3 bedroom 1.5 bathroom house to fit in it. Rick worked magic we can't even believe it. He fit all of our stuff into the relocubes even with leftover space!! He took meticulous care of our things and did everything in record time (under 2 hours). I needed help unloading a Uhaul trailer, and Riptide Moving provided me with the most reasonable estimate. Paul and Jorge were my movers - they were so down-to-earth, easy-going, professional, and FAST. I live on the 7th floor, and they were able to move all my boxes, 200+ lb mattress, TV, TV stand, and peloton within two hours! I thought it would take longer because it takes time for the elevator, as many people use it at all hours of the day. But, that didn't hinder them from getting it all done within two hours. My father decided last minute that he could use some help moving in to his third floor apartment. I moved all my furnitures and stuff from my 1200sq ft appartment to a 10*10 storage room. I am very happy with Jorge, Paul and Jamie. They showed up on time with a smile on their face and they were very fast. All 3 worked very hard with the best attitude. They disassembled the furnitures, packed everything in their huge truck and used every inch of the storage room (Paul is the Tetris master with boxes). We just moved with Riptide and had such a great experience my wife is making me post this review. We chose Riptide mostly because of a glowing recommendation from a friend. We didn't really do too much to get ready for the move--not nearly enough. When the Riptide movers came, much of our property was still needing to be packed, with stuff on the shelves and in closets and cupboards still. Ben and Danny were the movers who came. They had a great attitude, repeatedly saying something like, "We're here to make you happy." They backed that up by cheerfully complying with all our nit-picky and perhaps unreasonable requests and concerns. A couple of times they mentioned that something we were asking would take more time (disassembling/reassembling furniture, for example, or moving it around when we couldn't make up our mind where to put it); they wanted to make sure we didn't end up paying for more of their time than we really wanted. Once it was clear we would pay for the extra time, they cheerfully carried on. The movers were ready for anything, with plenty of dollies and blankets and ways to pack large framed art and shrink-wrap (no extra charge) for mattresses and straps. They even helped load stuff in our pickup for the recycling center and thrift store. They came equipped with plenty of cool fluids to keep themselves hydrated, which we learned after offering them something to drink. They brought up several giant boxes for us to fill with bags of loose items from the backs of closets or under beds; apparently that is a "thing." When all was said and done, thanks to Riptide our move went as smoothly and stress-free as possible. We feared we might be being unreasonable in some or our requests or asking too much, but in word and deed Danny and Ben's response was "We're professionals. We do this every day." We would 100% use Riptide for our next move! read more
