I received an introductory rate starting at $132/mo and it has been less than a year since i signed up with Cubesmart. My rate for a garage is now $354/mo so if you want a long-term storage facility i don't believe this is the best place to utilize. Seems they have you once you are in and are going to keep increasing the rate until you move out. These are easily recognizable and can easily be identified when they were loading to their trucks. You assured me that all your CCTV cameras are 100% working so this is doable. This was while I was on deployment for 7 months and I wish to express that setting up my account was easy, the few staff I've met during my visits have been courteous. Used this place to store our whole house for 2 months. There is a gate at the entrance. Lots of space on the road through the buildings. We had a large ground level unit. It was large, not super well kept. I did see spiders and ants on the ground but to be expected I guess in the area. The price was a little high for a month and a half, in my opinion. Be careful to rent this place because there was two incidents where they had been broken into at night. They said they reported the incident, they have a gate so it doesn't make sense how it could be broken into and everything from inside the storage was gone. No damage and no cameras, nobody saw anything and I thought they had security on watch. Also there's no police report given and on top of that they also want you pay the remainder balance but how can you do that when you put your trust in them to make sure the stuff is safe and now it's all gone with no clues. ZERO NOTICE, INCREASED RATE 10% and then JUST CHARGED MY CARD without my agreement. Upcoming rate increases, I can understand. That's their right, and my choice if I want to continue. I had a storage unit for a year and it was robbed with only a "oh sorry" from management. Do not expect your stuff to be secure and do not expect any safety. I recently had storage at the CubeSmart on Watson Way in Vista, CA and then had to relocate to Tulsa, OK after surviving Covid 19. I turned the contents over to CubeSmart for auctioning and to my surprise, received a large refund check for some of the proceeds. After delays caused by my relocation, a refund check was issued. It did not arrive however, and on the brink of homelessness, Dominick the Manager of the Watson Way store, stepped in and made it his mission to get the check to me. I owe a big thank you to Dominick and the Corporate office for sending the check overnight and saving me from a night on the street. There's a lot of units here, 3 levels worth of units. The smaller units are built on wood floors; which is weird. It's good in a way really. Honestly, if you have to get a storage unit in the Vista area, Go HERE! The staff here are fantastic! Especially the Manager Beth! She definitely took care of me when moving out. I was confused on some terms, and she completely took care of me. The units are all "first floor" making them super accessible and convenient! And you can access your unit until 10 PM every night. We all know, moving to another city is hard especially when it's 8 hours away, and a city where you never lived. Prior to arrival, 2 weeks before our move, Beth made the process on getting a 10x10 as easy as possible! Not only that, this specific location, has been well kept and not trashed (I hope other locations aren't like that). I have had many other storages where there are just non stop cockroaches, smells disgusting and you can just tell it's not maintained. This location on Watson way is really clean for a storage facility. Our 10x10 did not have any funky smell and the access was just a few feet's away. The customer service too, is phenomenal! Pricing, you just can't beat! NO HIDDEN FEES. Look online for any promotions. I will most likely get a storage in the near future but the one where its vehicle friendly. Fantastic customer service both before finalizing the storage space I decided to rent and after. Nicole was amazing and showed me several different options when it came to various sizes of the storage units and was delightful and cheery when doing it! She also reiterated several times how she would get the unit (I ultimately chose) cleaned before I moved my stuff in, and once again, her positive and helpful attitude made a pretty mundane process that much more enjoyable. Listen, when it comes down to things like this, 9 times out of 10, storage units are storage units, but when you deal with great customer service, that makes the experience worthwhile and memorable. Rented a unit here during a recent move. It was really bigger than I needed, and I planned to switch to a smaller unit once I got settled. Five months later I got a notice that my rent is increasing by a whopping 10%. So instead of downsizing, I'm moving out. I rented a unit at another facility in Vista for a full 2.5 years recently with no rent increase. It's a disappointment, because this location is good for me, but I'm not willing to pay 10% more rent every 6 months. Renter beware. read more
