We were very eager to try Cucina Moderna, after hearing great things about. Unfortunately, our Delivery experience was anything but good. I'm not sure if it was Post Mates or the Restaurant. I'll review the food: We ordered a Margherita Pizza and it was cold and hard. Chicken parm sandwich was tasty but the Fries were cold, soggy and super greasy. I had to throw them out. We ordered a second chicken cutlet sandwich and again the entire entree was cold, fries were over greasy and soggy. I saw the reviews and ordered because it seemed great. Great Italian restaurant. Food and service were excellent. We went in on a Saturday night and only had to wait a few minutes to be seated. If you go before 6 pm during the summer you can get the Sunset special. The special has a selected menu that gives you salad, entrees and gelato for dessert. My hubby and I both found our favorites in the Sunset section. Hubby got fettuccine bolognese with meatballs and I had chicken franchises. Both dishes were very tasty and just the right portions. Our server was Kasha and she was excellent. She was very nice, polite and attentive to her customers. She checked on us frequently to make sure we were enjoying our meals. Excellent service! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by many staff and made to feel at home. Service was seamless. Warm focaccia greeted us. Nice Caesar salad. My salmon was perfectly cooked and the asparagus was excellent. I usually never eat asparagus but this was too good looking to pass up. Cut, sautéed in onion and garlic. Companions' lasagne were also on point. Not the traditional heavy pasta, but light with a lovely filling. Gelato topped off the meal. Well done, CM. This was our first time getting Cucina Moderna after hearing rave reviews about it. We ordered delivery and were texted at 8:02 pm saying our order was on the way. When it wasn't here at 8:45 we contacted the delivery service asking about the order. When we finally got our food around 9 pm it was ICE COLD. If the food would have arrived hot it would not have been an issue. I have also posted a picture of the cheese pizza we received for my children. There is a hole in the middle. I work in the restaurant business, I understand that everyone has bad days but I would never allow food to go out like that. You eat with your eyes first. I would never usually post a review like this because I do understand that things happen, however when I tried to contact the store to file a complaint I kept getting an error message saying there was a problem submitting my entry and to try again later. read more

My wife and I went to lunch here today Thursday at Cucina Moderna in Boynton Beach Florida. We have gone to this restaurant many times and although service is not the best, it has been ok. I ordered the 3-cheese Calzone and the wife ordered Pesto & Colossal Shrimp Lunch size. I was served the Calzone first and it came out on the well done side. It is ok, because since I like my pizza well done, I accepted the Calzone. Next came the Pesto and shrimp, which my wife always gets. This time about 1/4 way through she found a big long black hair sitting in the bottom of the dish. This hair totally made my wife lose her desire to eat any more of the Shrimp. The next time the manager walked by the table we stopped and him and told him about the hair. His response was amazing. " What hair" My wife showned him again. All he said was "do you want another"? No I am sorry, I apologize, just do you want another. We were on our lunch break and only had 1 hour to eat and get back to work, now with a do over with the shrimp she did not have time to eat and had to box the lunch to eat later. After a few more minutes the waitress, who we had not seen since we ordered, came back and asked how things were. We told her about the hair, she said sorry and ask it the manager was aware. We said yes. Replacement Shrimp arrives by way of the manager with no fork or knife. Please note the manager took the hairy shrimp and the silverware but never replaced the silverware. So even if my wife had the time to eat she couldn't because now we had no fork or knife. Manager did not offer anything just put dish down and left. We had to ask for a box for the shrimp and my calzone that was half finished. Manager came back with one box for the shrimp and had to get another for the calzone. Just gave us the boxes to fend for ourselves with no fork to put the shrimp in the box. The manager just did not seem to care. Finally, the waitress comes by and we had to stop her and ask for check and to no one's surprise the bill is given to us in the full amount. No discount amount for going through the hair in the shrimp, no time to eat and the other great examples we endured on how NOT to treat your customers knowing about the hair. I would have thought something would have been offered to offset our awful experience and make us forgive them and come back again to this restaurant. The waitress did not say anything as we paid the bill. She did not even say thank you. We were not looking for a free meal, we both make plenty of money so we are not those people. All we wanted to see was some customer service to get us to come back, but this manager didn't feel the need so we will never go back. There are many other places to eat that appreciates customer support, so we will go there. If you go to Cucina Moderna in Boynton Beach just be prepared for terrible service and managers that really don't care what you go through while you dine there. read more

Ordered through Uber eats and the delivery was 2 hours... I'm not sure who's fault that is so... I'll just review the food. I ordered a chicken parmesan and it was about as good as a frozen meal from Publix reheated. But edible. I also ordered a Margherita pizza, which you think would be an easy thing for them to make. It was absolutely inedible the cheese was all hard and the crust was burnt the basil was soggy and the dollops of marinara we're cold and disappointing. Gave it to my dogs. Excellent fresh wood fired pizza every time! The lunch portions are a great value. Every item is made fresh to order. The establishment has high standards of cleanliness and courtesy of staff. This review is intended for the Lake Worth Fl. Restaurant only. Recently I was gifted a gift certificate to Cucina Moderna purchased at the Boyton Beach location. While reviewing the menu on their mutually shared website ( there are three locations listed on the website] where the menu is the same for all three locations it would appear that they are sister restaurants. Living in Lake Worth we choose the restaurant closest to our home. After our meal we presented our waiter with the aforementioned gift card. He scanned the gift card and told us we were unable to use it in that location. Our bill was slightly higher than the $100. Gift so we also presented our credit card to the waiter which he promptly scanned and presented us with our bill. I asked to see the manager, and the waiter presented me with my bill with the tip box to be sure that he was tipped appropriately and asked not to be put in the middle of my complaint with the owner/manager. The discussion with the owner/ manager was very short. He said " we don t honor these from the other restaurants I can ' t get my money from them" . He indicated he is not part of the other restaurants . But he is on their website and his business certainly benefits from this location being on this website. I asked has this ever happened before, he said "no". My next question would be if this never happened before how do you know you can't get your money back? When asked why there is nothing on the website to indicate that gift cards are only honored where purchased, he said "I don't run the website". There was no apology what so ever for this. He was abrupt and rude. I feel there needs to be a disclaimer posted somewhere so this doesn't t happen to other customers. After leaving the Lake Worth restaurant, I took the liberty to call the Boynton Beach location . I spoke with the Manager (Juan) who was completely professional and said they honor all the gift cards no matter where purchased. He apologized and invited us to come back to the Boynton Beach location where we had been before and the food and service were fantastic. He again apologized and said when we came in to see him and he would take care of us. Again this is to make customers aware that the Cucina Moderna in Lake Worth is independently owned and will not honor any Gift certificates purchased at any other Cucina Moderna. Also don't expect much help from an unscrupulous owner who apparently doesn't know much about running a restaurant. read more

We've been wanting to try this place for awhile. During season there is always a line out the door which is always a good sign. The service was exceptional. The food was great too. Although I have to say i couldn't quite justify the prices for the food. They were all a bit high. I would recommend looking at the menu before you go. Now there is a "Sunset Special" which I believe is from 3-6pm. That includes a dinner, salad, drink and gelato for a discounted price. That would be a good option. Got take out, chicken parm was just ok just lacking seasoning. (for the price should have been a bigger piece) the pasta was barely a serving size and the "sunday gravy" would have my grandmother rolling in her grave. The basil grilled chicken was good the dressing was substituted but the house dressing was good. And the rustic bruschetta scampi was something interesting but it was fine. Btw only three small pieces of bread for a $20 starter should be ashamed. Just really really over priced for what you got and just next time I'll cook dinner. read more

I had the linguine with white clam sauce and it was exquisite. Garlccy and bring and perfect. No canned clams here. Fresh and delicious. Absolute 5 stars. My honey had Chicken Picatta and he said the sauce was perfect and the chicken was tender. He said to give it 5 stars so yum there We go. We both got house salads and when unpacked really one would have sufficed. That's ok there was no dressing on it so I saved the second one for lunch today. The house vinaigrette was great. We will return. I can't wait to try the Veal Francese. Something I love to eat but not to cook! The food was ready as promised and oh let me not forget. The artisan bread was jamming! We have been here a half dozen times and I'll tell you what...it's really good! Fantastic soups, a shrimp scampi pizza to die for, a huge chicken parm, great specials...fair prices. Service is very friendly and accommodating. Everything comes out hot and delicious. My wife is a great cook and raves about this place. A wide assortment of salads here as well. Complained 4 times about the music and only once the music was lowered a little.(one of the managers told my friend "the music wasnt really loud, just sounded that way", seriously?!?!?!) $17 "Homemade" lasagna, I think not. Sweet sauce that tasted like canned sauce, not homemade. Both of my friends had chicken dishes, one was heavy in lemon sauce, even tho she requested light on the lemon. Will not be returning. I still do not understand why there is an "up" charge for a Caesar salad from a garden salad.... The Veal Parm /pasta was very good; not so hot it burned but a perfect temp for immediate eating. Very tasty sauce and just the right portions. I forgot to mention the hot bread before lunch served - hot and incredible - be careful you'll eat way too much and not have room for your meal! Sisco clocked out a Jena-Maria took over. Jena knew all the Gelato flavors by heart - I had the Italian chocolate chip which was very tasty. Again a very pleasant and tasty visit at a reasonable price. I also sat outside which was ok since the weather was fabulous. Ordered pizza because it's my last day and the pics here looked decent. I got the pie and there was no cheese stretch, no steam when I opened the box, and raw garlic that seemed like an afterthought.
